  1. I think the server is forgetting to send ADD_NEW_ENHANCED_ACTOR. When I commit #suicide, I get that right after the "You have died and gone to the Underworld!" message. When the damage area in the Bethel secret place (near Bethel Insides [30,73]) kills me, I don't.


  2. Fresh as of May 6th, 1:49 PM US pacific time (-7 I think).

    Crash occured while sitting AFK on Isla Prima all day. Compiled with gcc 3.4.2 mingw-special and ran on windows 2000 sp4, geforce4 ti4600 with drivers version 66.93, Athlon XP 2100+, 1 gig of ram.

  4. Suggestion: put a maximum limit on the number of times in a row any one guild can bid to prevent somebody from being a pig and bidding up to half a million gc so nobody else will bid.

     

    It's their loss if they do...the winning amount becomes the monthly fee...first time hire rate. If they make it half a million, then they have to pay half a million to keep their guild and to keep the bot.

    My point is that bad people with no intention of paying will dump 30k to make a throw-away guild, and then bid very high so no sane guild will outbid them. Nobody gets the NPC, the auction has to start all over again, and that bad person just wasted several days of everyone's time.

    I was also wondering what the maximum bid is, and what happens when somebody reaches it and tries to exceed it. On a related note, it might be a good idea to reset bidding for Sarmisegetuza. What I did was thoughtless and selfish. I'm sorry. I won't bid again unless I intend to pay for it.

     

    What should happen if the guild with the highest bid is destroyed before the auction ends? Right now, the highest bid still stands. It seems like the next guild to be created gets the blame for it. This is bad, because some poor newb that struggled to scrape together 30k might suddenly find their guild destroyed for not paying some npc bid they had never agreed to.

     

    Edit: actually, maybe leave Sarmisegetuza alone for a little while. It might be good to see if they really will destroy a new guild made by somebody that had no affiliation with the (already destroyed) guild that did the bidding. In other words, I want to test this bug before I continue to cry wolf.


  6. I don't know if it's a bug or intentional to embarrass people being hit by bones, but when FenerBahce hit Annraoi neither of them saw a message, but other people (on other maps?) saw that Annraoi was hit with the bone of death for 150 extra damage!

     

    edit: This time we both saw the message and other people didn't see it. hmm...

     

    edit2: It seems like the message only goes to one map, not necessarily the right map, not necessarily the same map each time.


  7. The Accept Buddy dialog box doesn't always work. Sometimes the text colors are wrong and sometimes I notice an extra garbage character at the end of the name. I usually get "That player is not online or too many players with that name." but I've also gotten "The arguments to accept_buddy can max be 15 characters long" a couple times. Manually using the #accept_buddy command always works without problems.


  8. now, this may have been the same optimisation error, but... this looks strangely similar to when I ran the exec in my cvs directory... which has the actor_defs (since they're in CVS) but not the meshes... you did download to your EL directory where the data is, right?

     

    I did, but I've also put a lot of random stuff in there so... clean install + RC4 + your stuff. Sorry if I wasted your time with an erroneous bug report, it won't happen again.
