More “positive” EL special days; a. “I feel full” day, when your food level does not go down as you mix, fight, etc. b. “I’ve got a secret bush” day, when you get 5x the harvestable items, be it flowers, ores, gems, etc. The secret bush would change locations with each special day. Characters would have fun searching exploring for them.

     

    Have you heard of Joule's day and Aleksei Stakhanov Day? o0


  2. This idea also requires 2 or 4 version for a lot of objects and textures. Not really doable with the resources we have.

     

    If you give up the textures part (making snow on the maps etc), it would only need a few versions of .dev file for that particular map in which the harvestables change. Adding unharvestable for some resources and increasing harvest speed/rate for others wouldn't be so hard. Although it might look weird to see a bunch of flowers in a map in winter even though they are not harvestable (removing them and adding snow would be more realistic), but the above mentioned idea would be an easier way out.

     

     

    Concerning the resource shortage idea in overall, I guess it would have really major effects on economy if I get it correctly. Players get richer and more items are harvested/made in the game nowadays, because there are more harvesters/mixers, but having a static amount of resource to be harved per some time period would slow down the infliation (on the other hand, it might bring in more concurrence among sellers/buyers).

    I believe that 1 person having 2 characters is not so much of a problem. I would probably break the rule anyway if my comp was at least a bit faster -.-'

     

    But even if it's voted No by the majority, some improvements should be made concerning whitelist - I've seen a handful of people who were unable to play just because their brother/sister/father/whatever is already playing EL, and have seen most of them getting banned for helping his relative. This is true for girlfriends and boyfriends too.

     

    So unless some improvements were made, the rule should go.

    No, because you can send PM to anyone who is in another continent. Roleplay for example would be actually finding that person somewhere, going there and talking to him eye to eye, or going to a tavern to drink ale just for the sake of roleplay, or leave your character in an empty room with a bed instead leaving it somewhere at sto while logging off etc etc.

Well, a solution for securing that a guildmap doesnt become a place to make some particular item free and easy is rechecking the maps, only allowing, say, 40 steps from different kinds of harvestables? But this would make so much more work for Roja. And it might even increase the price for the guildmap.

     

    Anyway, the idea seems well thought, but has some minuses that need to be discussed.

     

    And at this moment, guildmap is supposed to be a private area for the guild where they can safely make meetings (if it's a role-play guild or something) and train pvp, maybe even keep some stuff hidden too.


  6. There could also be special invasion days in which the attack god will warn the world globally of an invasion. "Mortos is stealing the souls of the following players for his own bidding: KillerNoName, etc, etc." There will be like 5-10 minutes of a heads up so these people have a chance to go to storage, but once the time is up, these people die and spawn to a special map, just like my first idea. These souls, user controlled, invade whatever map they are designated to, and try to kill people.

     

    Wouldn't it be easy for these people to just simply log off to escape becoming a zombie?
