  1. A fixed bag window size would be very good for training, since creatures don't drop that many different items, and the window won't take half of your screen. On the other hand, you might need a bigger window for mixing from bag. So how about making 1 size of the bag window for monster drops, and the other for mixing? Say, the first one would be 2x3 tiles, and the other one could be 5x5 or whatever.

  2. The one thing I will say is, that rule 3 has a strange exception.

IE - Respect others: You must the rights of others and their right to enjoy the game.

Yet it allows people to steal your bag, which certainly means your not enjoying the game right at that moment.

Some might say that PK is the same. Yet PK isn't forced on your, Bag jumping under the current rules is.

I understand that under the current rules, that you no longer own that bag. So before people start jumping up and down. Let me say, I am just pointing out what might be seen as a flaw.

"Hey, wtf? you took one of 3 ogres in this small cave that I was training in! You're not letting me enjoy the game, I'll #abuse you!"

"u pk me, it be no funz0r, i #abuse u for not leteing meh enjoi teh game"

    etc etc

  3. I voted yes, because there is an inbalance which favoures bagjumpers too much IMO .... just don't go ever to a pk map (and besides hydro I guess there i s absolutely no need for) and bagjumping is pretty safe annoying people without any consequences

I AGREE, there must be a small chance to get it back somehow. ( install a Gambling like "Roll the Cube", depending on different stats :) or sth.

I voted yes because IMHO it would make the game more interesting if you would have the chance to defend against a bagjumper after he jumps on your bag. Currently you have absolutly no chance if this happens. Just my opinion ..

    THATS THE POINT.

That's not the point. Try reading some of the post above and you'll see that:

    - Bags are not meant to be temporary storages and thus are not meant to be safe in any way.

    - If you decide, however, to mix from bag, then do it safely - NEVER get off of the bag, TRADE the ings instead of dropping them.

I see no point why this topic should stay open - this has been discussed a thousand times already.

However, a notice should be made every once in a while by mods, just like they do with the "don't give out your password", "if you don't know how to eat then you'll die join newbie channel etc etc". Just to remind people these points stated above.

  4. First of all, it's GIWS (Global Invasion Warning System) - how hard is it to spell right??

Second, if you want to fling dung at each other, go do that somewhere else.

@Handy -> a big TY for everything you have done for the server, especially the One year anniversary donation AND your levels, making it possible for us to have high-end items in the server. BUT I doubt you should try to influence anyone's decision who to sell their items to.

Personally, I sold the only Binding stone I had to Donkeh, since he's in my guild, and I thought that Liquid brothers would use it. However, they sold it to you, so the next Binding is probably going straight to you - I have no intention to let PkG's earn extra gcs in resales.

  5. I did vote 3 bc We have as a guild the right to make money for events, and other inguild things but I do agree that with many Store Bots it would spam up the Market channel. So I thought wat if there was a seperate channel for bots

    ever heard of #ignore_bots command?

  6. Getting a bag jumped really sucks, but hey, it sucks to be stupid too, no? (I've lost a shitload of bags too, so that's not an insult or anything).

However, there are a few ways to bag-mix safely. If it's a guild project, just make someone the mule/the bagsitter/whatever, who won't harvest (maybe only mix), and you would give him ings by trading (that person should be the one with biggest EMU, but that's just my opinion). I doubt that Rayla could jump your trade session, OR the bagsitter him/herself.

Another idea - move to the PK server and bag-mix there safely \o/ there is only a handful of players there, so most places are Ghost Towns. However, if you see someone coming, just pwn them. Easy. (unless s/he pwns you first :D )

If you want more tips, feel free to buy my new book "Bag-Mixing for Dummies".

  7. I know a few mages in game myself, and I can tell that Magic is a very expensive skill to level up. However, it can be leveled much faster than a/d if you have all supplies needed. Being a pure mage means maxing out your will and reasoning, as well as getting as high magic level as you can.

PS: there's a will/reas maxed mage on PK server who is only in 30's a/d or so, and he pwns everyone lol :D

  8. It's not more effective, it's still random. But you don't have to click Home key/mouse for a few minutes and then have a break cos you don't feel your fingers.

Asking someone who knows the best: is fleeing time dependant on how much weaker/stronger you are than the monster you're fighting against? I mean, if the monster is much stronger, it would be harder to flee than from a weaker monster.

  9. Don't like this idea. I think it would make training even more easy than it is now. And we know that A/D is the easiest skill atm already.

Not to hack this topic, but maybe it would be easier to make 1% (?) chance that instead of a goblin/garg/ogre/fluffy/whatever there would spawn a different, stronger monster, so that fighters would have more fun? Or make the Elder Monsters spawn instead (they would have about the same A/D and attributtes, but more health).

  10. Simple: ^v^ has enough members to enter an instance, and other guilds can make a team as well.

Why not just go separately and avoid this bullshit? Put the loot on bot, sell it, and share it. And only after we start playing as grown ups and not crying "omg if handy comes i wont come i want the l00t myself etc etc", then we can think of teaming up for instances.

You can still test and see if the instances are PK or not on this server even if you enter with your guildies.

  11. I second that.

I found it very good to train on NC wall at lower levels, followed by the same NC wall but at night and with NV at 20+, and in some cave with higher level mosters with NV right now.

However, I have tried PVP training, but that proved to be low exp for me (maybe it's just a slight difference, but I prefer getting 60+ exp per shot and missing a few rather than getting 10-15 exp per shot and missing almost none) :)
