He is expendable for now... Thinking way back I may remember a statement from Teh God saying promotion of the server was up to us and not Admin. May be wrong, but I'm sure his aim was to do only so much and leave it to us to do the rest. Radu has been very watchful and helpful, at least recently, still I'm inclined to believe we have the power to create our own environment. That going as reason, I suggest this: Instead of gc, let's all barter in dung. Okay, bad idea. However, we can change the economy at will, as well as guild treaties, the Three Big Rules (remember them? Issues here, for sure,) invasion policies, events & contests.... you name it. We can control it, we ARE the admins here and the peons!

Oop... napped through those last two posts.... Aislinn, good point from your position and makes sense all around. Can we get your confirm on announcing in channels on Main any events and 'advertisements' pertaining to the PK Server? I had it from Radu, Roja and Acelon (not sure but think that's who...) way back that we could advertise on EL Chat and Market so long as it wasn't too often. When I'm on main with 'Mugwump' I always make a comment in conversation about PK and bring it up about once an hour, but spend most of my time at PK anyway. Any and all promotions are great!

Lilliath, do we all know you in~game? It's hard to keep track of everyone since alts are numerous and people trading, selling, and sharing characters. In general, I think we try to welcome new players and share experiences here. I give away extra st00fs to newbists just like on main and I have extra. Most others are more generous! I just started a topic re: disconnected from server at the same time as another member. As it happens, the thread followed the other topic so I looked to see if I could delete my post or the whole topic. Obviously it takes admin for that! Is there anything I should do in these cases to avoid double topics (PM a mod, edit the post, break glass pull handle) or just leave it be?

Same on the PK Server... looks like I lost an armload of SR's! Don't forget to use that #save command from time to time just to be sure! Ent: I guess there is some internet problem, the server didn't crash. Goody! Maybe my SR's are intact!

Any pro Linux'ers know where I can get info on trying out Linux while keeping WinXP running? Possibly on a USB pen drive or external HD? I'd be starting from Troglodyte scratch, but I'm curious about replacing MicroShaft for good some day! I was pointed to DSL (Damn Small Linux) at one time but I really need to start from penguin kindergarten to avoid brain explosion... Meanwhile I need to keep what is familiar operating to stay up to date on projects.

I see a lot of new names (BigYay!) and haven't even opened the client yet! Is it a valid idea to create a Sticky in the PK Forums for Greetings? Earlier today while Grandmama was harvesting sulphur to donate to GIWS she found a Serpent Stone. Since the day was meant to give to GIWS, I thought this might add to the pot. Besides, I'm too cheap to donate gold and can't do anything with a Serp yet anyway I'll work it like this: Bidding starts at 1k gc and bid in at least 100gc increments. So everyone gets a chance to join in (and produce more gold) I'll end the bidding one week (next Sunday) at 6:00 PM GMT (1:00 PM US Eastern time.) By the way, if that sounds like too long a time limit, I'll shorten it if there are enough demands. We'll see how it goes! Let's get these invasions announced!
