Great idea, although such stone should just protect the owner for long enough to safely leave the place rather than to teleport creature anywhere (especially not to another map)

this is a bit off topic but I would gladly see the PK environment where you could advance mostly by winning fights rather than by muling resources - that would be something you could truly call "PK server"

in the world of no alts everything is more balanced, no wonder majority of mmorpgs do not allow them

I have an impression that you exaggerate a bit - I mean how this creature can be compared to the invasion? How many victims it can "consume" per week/month? It seems to me that the chances to suffer from this creature are low, especially if there will be some sort of warning system that will allow you to avoid a map where it has recently striked. There are still so many places that remain absolutely safe and so many other choices if the spot you were planning to go becomes infested with that creature (or any other danger as a matter of fact). I mean what's a big deal?

From what I know the lowest price is 7 gc, average closer to 10 gc per piece (at least that's what the Search here and Rraisa in game says .....) So, minimal offer is 7k, buy it now ... hmmm let's say 9k I'll accept a fair trade for either cinnabar or SE's

Maybe by changing PK's behaviour on the main server? Obviously anyone entering PK map on the main server agrees to die any time, however there are situations when it is not necessarily the best idea to kill anyone on sight As an example, take NDD - what's the point to stand at the PK map entrance to kill every noob who enters the map either to train a/d with a friend or to mine/mix? What's the achievement of killing someone with a/d of 100 less than killer's one? Is that a honorable deed to kill someone who definitely doesn't look like he wants a fight, especially when during NDD you won't benefit from that in absolutely any way? In general, some people were probably thinking about playing on the PK server but they were discouraged with their experience on the main one Just my 2 cents ...

Second medallion total before it was destroyed - 4460 exp and 370 gold Bad luck indeed

In case of bows, it does not need to damage them, just to make them not usable or less effective while raining (this is a bit premature though since no one really knows their powers yet)

And one more thing ... it has happened in the past of military conflicts that the rain was making bows useless due to bowstrings getting lose ....

Going back to the original question "What is the point of having rain?" and thinking of less spectacular events than lightning strikes *yikes* I think the rain could be a nice modifier for harvesting - it is quite obvious that plants grow better after the rain, don't they ? A small increase in the rate of harvesting outdoors as well as slightly higher chance for harvesting events might encourage players to change maps as weather changes. That also gives me an idea of a magic weather/rain indicator item ...

At least we have learn something new from this post - I haven't noticed that the xp events happen exclusively during first 120 attempts every hour. This is good thing to know, thanks! So far no changes - I'm not having events at all while harving so on one hand no benefits, on the other hand the medallion hasn't been destroyed yet lol. Update : Cruella was blessed by the Queen of Nature with 4460 worth of harvesting exp.

exactly, I had no events when harving tree mushrooms for xp, yet plenty while harving cotton with the second medallion so far, 760 gp and zero xp
