I don't personally consider what web sites I visit to be my private data. To me, it is analagous to visiting various public places as I am literally interacting with other peoples' personal property when surfing the web. Someone's server has to respond to my request and I may subsequently create or modify artifacts on such servers.luckily everybody else consider it as private data (google too btw, otherwise there would not be a passage about it in their privacy notes).
and if for you, visiting web sites and visiting public places (what is imo wrong from first place, cuz other visitors of a homepage cant see u like other visitors of a public place can see u, only if the webmaster displays all IPs/usernames visiting the homepage atm, u can be seen by others...) is the same thing, and there would be some "bigbrother" following you around to all public places and writes everything (where u go and what u do) down, wouldnt you punch him into his face after some time? ill bet even the biggest pacifist on earth would get angry after some time...
Thx for the link, i will read it when i have some time, looks very interesting. but after a first short look, i think they are talking about some special devices, designed to collect datas. but anyway thats not the point here thats just for my own interest
Anyway, for me its all said, i just wanted to inform others, that Google Chrome collects your data and i dont want to start another flame war here.
i will only post again on this, if someone brings up some new Google related points, cuz thats what that topic is about and not about a general privacy discussion... but feel free to make a new topic about it

Most internet service providers already collect such information, what real difference does it make if Google does too?"They" know what magazines you subscribe to, what books you buy online, what channels you watch on cable and/or satellite, what your spending habits are on your credit/debit cards, where you go with your gps-enabled wireless phone, etc. What real privacy even exists anymore other than what we do when we're alone behind closed doors? And even then, ppl post that crap on their blogs every 5 minutes.
Please read the topic again and if you dont like your privacy, why are u posting here then?
For me, i just dont like to give more companies then neccesary my private datas. The more ppl have my datas, the higher is the risk, someone doing nasty things with my data...
Oh and please explain to me (with some proofs as i cant see any in your post), how its technically possible to monitor what tv-channels you are watching. As far as i know, that issnt possible, but of course i can be wrong...

Most of you maybe heared about the new browser of Google, Google Chrome...
When i read the disclaimer, i couldnt belive my eyes.
Chrome sends EVERY url you visit to some Google server!
In combination with the unique ID every Chrome installation has, Google knows exactly what you are doing in the World Wide Web...
There is a possibility to disable this, so you should maybe read http://www.google.com/chrome/intl/en/privacy.html before using this new Browser.
Another funny thing is, that only after the first day, the beta version was out, theres already the first known security issue ( http://www.ghacks.net/2008/09/03/google-ch...-vulnerability/ )

i think we have alot of different monsters, weapons and armors... imo that should be good for a while... imo its better make existing stuff kinda perfect before adding more features.
what florian posted about different variations of creatures i like very much, but for me it goes under improvement...

i have one question to all those saying u cant call a pker outlaw...
do u call a bagjumper outlaw? i think most will agree on it....
BUT radu gives u the possibility to bj like he gives u the possibility to pk, i think nothing to argue about so far...
i think u call somebody bj's u an outlaw cuz u loose items, but u loose items too if u get pked...
and i think u call somebody bj's u an outlaw cuz stealing is a no go in RL, but killing somebody else is an even bigger no go in RL...
now to those wanna say u enter pk at ur own risk blablabla, u work on bags also on ur own risk, so calling someone steals from u outlaw but dont call a person kills u an outlaw is just unlogical imo.
i want to say again, this is a role play game, where u can choose to play different roles, some "good" some "bad", but at least this is still a game and i dont jugde somebody cuz of his way of playing this game... i prefer building my opinions based on the stuff ppl are saying tho...
of course i dont want now every pker listed in "whinners forum" cuz all players should know, players are in pk to kill other players and u will get attacked/killed...
i think most pkers refuse to accept being called outlaw cuz they dont want the same title like scammers and bagjumpers... but u choosed to do things, that can spoil the fun of others, so live with being called outlaw... like the ones choosed to enter pk, working on bags, whatever gives "outlaws" the opportunity to rip u, must live with their loss...
imo maybe its best to close the outlaw forums to get rid of tons of spam, accept all possibilitys how to play that game
(theres always the possiblity to put a bounty on some pker killed u while pvp for example
), accept ur role u get with certain actions u make (try to understand that also if a peacefull hydro harver know the risk of pk, u are still an outlaw/baddude to her/him if u attack/kill her/him but instead of whining around the one got pked should also live with it CUZ he knew all the risk), make a new game rule: "dont whine around" and just play the game
Yes, I agree with you, but in this society, going on a PKing area is an implicit declaration of war to everyone around you that is not part of your guild or an allied guild.even though if you go there to harvest hydro?
what makes you an outlaw is carrying out an action that a majority of the playing community find unacceptable, i cant imagine the majority of people agreeing that pking is outlawish, it is, as Aislinn said, a part of the game.edit: missing commas

well for me the word killing in player killing makes it clear for me, killing=outlaw...
if i start with pk some day, i see myself as an outlaw too...
a duell between 2 people is another thing tho, but if u att somebody w/o asking and kill him/her, it makes u an outlaw imo, cuz if killing somebody doesnt makes u an outlaw, what makes u an outlaw then???

EDIT: im not saying each pker deserves an outlaw post just because it would give too much spam and flamewars... but like others i think ppl that attack pvpers and ppl that dont stick to their pvp/ff rules need to be posted on forums to warn others.
and im not saying that pk is something bad, its part of the game and i like it, but due to this is a rpg, someone that is killing other players should be seen as outlaw...
but imo a rpg needs both sides ("good" and "evil")

theres no change of xp with or w/o moon med, so it doesnt changes anything =) nightvisor lowers the xp, so it makes the shots more easy.

running also gentoo on the bleeding edge, and no real problems, lost about 5fps but thats maybe because i was using the cvs client before, not sure.
also i get this errormsg when the client starts: Error initializing sound: ALC_INVALID_DEVICE
sound was working before tho... will try to find out whats the exact problem.

the nmt already gone to zenial iirc (i was bidding for her) and yes i know thats REALLY rediculous, i just want to know if u others r thinking like me there is kinda silent agreement that u go after forumtime cuz i really was surprised about eurics point of view... but due to i can (hardly) understand eurics point i wanted to have some other opinions cuz i never would arrogate to say my opinion is the one and only right one...
well but before this degenerates to a flame war or something like that and it seems that no1 really has an oppinion on that, maybe its best to follow ur advice tempest...

just to let you know, my topic's title is "do you love your privacy" and my topic is ~"Google Chrome exploits users by recording every URL each user visits on a private Google server." i think you missed my intended point, infer your own and dont realize that your posts are off-topic.
always nice to see ppl flaming others topics for nothing (or better said for trying to warn others) but at least you gave me such a good laugh with your opinion on visited websites not being private datas and i learned a new fact about privacy and television, so im happy u flamed my topic.
