  1. I agree with Enly on this. It would be a shame to see a split in the community. I play this game because it is free and I know a few other people who have a similar opinion. I enjoy the fact that I can have the same benefits as others if I choose, and also have the same problems as other people, because as of now we are all in the same boat. Having half of EL being considered "higher class" because of a few extra $$ is not something I would enjoy going through.

     

    And buying extra exp is a bad idea in my opinion.

     

    Right. Because until now, someone who bought 100 rostos, or 10Mgc from farmers enjoyed the same status and benefits as those who never paid anything. Now suddenly the world will end.

    I don't understand why just because I stated my opinion about the matter, you have to come up with some sarcastic comment for it. I'm not bashing anything, and I did not say that the world will end. I simply stated that I do not like the idea, what is wrong with that? Just because 1 or 2 people do not go with your idea does not mean you have to backlash with some witty remark for them. Why can't you just take opinions as constructive criticism for once instead of an "omfg this will ruin everything!" statement?

     

    Give it a go, it couldn't hurt.

  3. Just a little thought here, how about pigs/hogs as a creature ingame? You could kill them for their hides, bones, and meat; and then take them to a tanning NPC to make it into leather for a cost.

     

    Possibly incorporate it with crafting so they have something else to make besides glacmor rings all day? :fire:

     

    To make up for labor maybe it could be a tad bit cheaper to make your own leather because it is slower.


  4. Just a couple ideas for A/D potions and special armor effects.

     

    As of right now a/d pots are rarely used since they are so expensive. Maybe modifying them to last for 30 minutes and then having and hour long cooldown before being able to use the potion(s) again? This might be more appealing than having levels regained every minute.

     

    And since there are a few complaints on special armor and weapons like SGoUD or OSoMN, maybe adding a 1-2 minute cooldown on their effects? Say you get hit with an OSoMN for -150 mana then the next possible hit would not occur for at least another minute? That way there is at least a slight chance to make a comeback.

     

    Maybe JSoC could have less cooldown because it would be kind of pointless with a whole minute in between effects.

    However, I still thing that it would be better to make it possible to divide everything by ten and then be able to change the stats or prices by 0.1 of something (in fact the same as original idea)

    First off I never said anything about "bug changes", not sure what you are going on about there.

     

    Second, without changes to weapons/armor...how are you ever going to hit someone with 480 coordination? 480 physique would give mega hits and with dragon armor being +29 armor, 480 reasoning would hit every time.

     

    Along with that books could be read in a minute or two, monsters would ignore everyone, invasions would be a breeze without monster changes, it would take 100 srs to fill up mana, and several restores to gain full health. (all this if no other changes were made)

    Doesn't make sense to me.

     

    All in all there are many many things that would need to be looked into if something like this were considered.


  6. It's a fantastic idea, I was debating suggesting it a while ago but after talking to Ambro about it he of course brought up the key points of: armor stats and creature stats.

     

    Armor would have to be increased significantly to counter the massive hits taken from 480 p/c. Weapons would have to give greater damage to have any effect at all in combat while having more accuracy to get through the armor. 150 health from a CoL would be nothing, but that may be a good thing. Get rid of CoLs and replace outright with helms!

     

    Monster stats would have to be increased as well so they would not get killed in 1 hit.

     

    Emu changes so people wouldn't be harvesting for an hour to fill up one load? :D

     

    Just some stuff to think about.

     

    Btw I fully support this idea although the game would need some MAJOR reworking.
