  1. Just started hwat to do?

Kill rabbits and sell the meat and fur to taverns Then buy a pickaxe with the money Then harvest sulpher and make fire essences with those. Then sell the fire essences to NPC or players and start buying your books. -- And you won't lose any items when you die until your overall level is 7. After that you will go to the underworld when you die and every item you are carrying has a 50% chance of being left behind in the real world.
  2. eek! help please

Missing .dll files has nothing to do with the server going down.

  4. Crashing

I bet your using AOL. Ive heard of similar problems with other people using AOL...they can be online for 1 minute or 20 hours and it will crash just in the way you said. Only happens with some games, or doing certain things online too.
  5. 1. Bears and pumas will randomly attack people who's instinct is below 25. Something like (4*Instinct)% that a bear will NOT attack you. 2. Food spoils after a set amount of game time. (disappears) 3. The closer you are to carrying your maximum weight, the slower you walk. These are just some things I thought of. Take them seriously only if you want to.
  6. Insanity Test

Man I love that page. I laugh everytime I see it. But this was just a poll. Not a real test, so I didn't forget any link or anything. And jojomama. Some questions have no answers; like everytime my Ex-wife asks me something. No matter what I say or don't say....WRONG! lmao
  7. Insanity Test

lol sam That's pretty close to the idea I had when I made this
  8. How I should use my pick points.

For a fighter, you should spend your pickpoints on physique, coordnation, and human nexus'. Vitality some too.
  9. Players Online

The overall skill is still under the Combat heading. No crafting skill listing either. Probably already knew this, just thought I'd bring it up just in case.
  10. New server bug reports!

ooooo I see, said the blind man.
  11. New server bug reports!

Well it looks like Entropy could reduce the selling price, or have molgor not have the option to store flowers. My ideas on the problem, anyways. And the bag you can't 'get into' problem, Just stand over it and drop something...it will open up.
  12. If the meteor idea goes through for Wolfram, I vote it be in Forest of the fall 8)
  13. How about putting a PK dungeon accessed from Ruins of Tirnym? I think it would help promote people going to other PK maps besides KF. And also if guilds wanted to hold their own competitions, they could have the person to kill at the end of the dungeon. People along the way, in narrow corridors...they could summon things. It would give a new dimension to Pk'ing and be atmospheric as well. Could even open up some roleplaying possibilities for high level players who are into that.
  14. Dungeon in PK map

I don't know if you were talking to me or Learner. But I'll give my thoughts I wouldn't put forts in every pk map, because that would just make them all so similar that it would become a "which map is the most convenient?" Which would be KF, because of Molgor being so close. Which is (among there being forts) the reason people tend to go to KF. I suggest adding some walls beside the tents that border the eastern mountains....then adding some tents/walls along the south-western coast/ as mini camps. But for a kick...put a dungeon that leads from camp to camp (Pk of course). It can just be a passageway, not have to be a full-fledged dungeon. I think that would draw people to Tirnym. Also on a side note....Make ships in all PK maps to link ONLY to other PK maps. That would be cool....Chasing a player from one side of the continent to the other to kill him
  15. Dungeon in PK map

Oh ok. Before my time I guess. Sorry
  16. Spelling and grammar errors.

When you try to cast 'Teleport to Range' while attacking, the message that comes up telling you that you cannot.... the word melee is spelled wrong.
  17. What about having (in crafting) the ability to make gold coins from gold bars? The higher your crafting, the more coins you produce (less discarded waste). It would take a good deal of research in alchemy to make gold bars, and then the same to craft the bars into GC. No player would likely sell the gold bars to a crafter for less than the crafter could make coins out of it. So it would also keep the new economy the same.
  18. Spelling and grammar errors.

I know that you need a pair of cuisses, but I was thinking the book should be "IRON CUISSE". Cause if you can make one, you can make 2. Ok done with that But if it is made in game as 1 item, then it is correct the way it is. Yes, I wasn't going to comment on the platemail thing, because I had already listed alot of things, and didn't want to come off like a know-it-all. Back to the greaves; I maybe totally off on my history here, but weren't they typically only used by knights on horseback? I mean, its plate-armor and usually swordplay doesn't go that low in man-to-man, feet planted on ground fighting. (Well there are rats and beavers and snakes that bite down there in this game.) If I'm not mistaken, greaves are strapped around the upper boots so as to keep men from slicing the lower legs of men on horsebacks. So they are just *added* protection to the boots. To keep things simple, yet have a feel of realism... I suggest the following, Helmet Cuirass Right Pauldron Left Pauldron Cuisses Boots If a player is wearing all those things that still leaves 2 blocks open to wear medallions/shield/sword....etc
  19. Spelling and grammar errors.

Well if you look in a dictionary greaves are defined as 'below the knee'. And cuisse is 'thigh'. So you are technically right. But typically when used (in my experience) greaves and cuisse are *generally* used as describing leg armor. (in general) Wow that sentence was OVERLY redundant. OHHH and I didn't check any priests cause I have the godless perk
  20. Spelling and grammar errors.

This is the "end-all list to NPC spelling errors in the TEST SERVER" (or...so I think ) Before I get started on the NPC's here are a few other things I've noticed 'wrong'.... When u go up in your overall level and the advancement message appears, it says you can talk to "the Wraith." Is he a person or a thing? I think you see what I'm getting at there. Right-Click on Pickaxe --- "used for MINNING.." And finally a bug...been there ever since I started playing...maybe already been reported (even in old server)....but anywhooo Walking FROM WSC to Portland and you go in the cave.... I always get this error "./3DOBJECTS/STRUCTURES/SIGN.E3D . TWO OR MORE MATERIALS WITH THE SAME TEXTURE NAME!" (Actually says it twice, but I got alot of typing ahead of me) On with the NPC's!!! -------THE WRAITH------ "Great! You just GO the Godless Perk!" [got] -------TRIK------- "....magic items, for my army." [remove teh comma] -------GOLRIC------ "DIAMON EMBEDING" [diamond embedding (all embeding should be changed)] -------KARN------- "QUATER STAFF" [quarter] -------VICTOR------ "Powersaving" [seems wrong...should be hyphenated...up to you] ".....food elvel wll...." [in description of powersaving cloak; food level will] -------FRUKAS------- "BIOCHEMESTRY" [biochemistry] "SNAKES SUM." [i noticed it is the only summoning that is plural, looks wierd.] -------HENRIK------- "...also train instinct if you pay well" [No option to train that now] -------PAUL--------- "STEEL TWO EDGES" [should be edge] -------HARVY------- ".....and mercuriy." [under his SELL option, mercury] "We are short........I'll gladly buy it." [is he a we? or I? ] And finally DAN, I saved him for last because I also wanted to talk about the usage of equipment names. "General Metalurgy books" [metallurgy] Now I was looking at the different armor books and noticed some (or what appears to be) flaws. I did not have enough money to buy them all and see exactly what they truly represented (by hence making the items); but here goes... He sells books entitled "IRON CUISSES" (which should be cuisse) "IRON GREAVES" "IRON PLATEMAIL" A cuisse is plate armor protecting the front thighs. Greaves are IMO so closely similar there is no difference. But I was thinking...maybe the book titled "IRON CUISSES" was meant to be "IRON CUIRASS". (A cuirass being plate armor that protects the front and back upper body). But if that is so, then what is the IRON PLATEMAIL? Like I said, I can't know what they will end up making...but maybe it gave you ideas/or made you realize something; or maybe I'm stoopid Well that's all folks, catch you later.
  21. Hi all. This is my first time posting, although hopefully some of you have seen me around, and know I'm not a *total* noob. lol I read the sticky about old and new ideas, and thought I would add some of my own. I apologize if any of these ideas have been mentioned before, but I'm rather new to the forums. And I also realize the new version is coming out pretty soon, so even if the programmers liked these ideas and wanted to implement them, it probably wouldn't be accomplished in time for the new release...but maybe in a future patch. Maybe just me rambling... Idea 1. In the new version I'm assuming there still will be a top out level of 120 on the skills. I've been thinking (to help promote increased leveling of skills) to have a "master ability" for people who achieve level 120. For instance, someone in another thread mentioned a spell called meteor rain; sounds intensely god-like....but maybe such could be achieved through the reading of certain rare books and achieving level 120. Same for pots, manu, alch...etc. Attack 120 can have a bezerker that drains all food level....etc... Idea 2. A universal market menu (menu icon). I know the new economy setups for the new version to help control prices...but I've also been thinking of having a menu that you can bring up that lists all available items that can be purchased (applicable only player to player transactions). In this menu, you can select up to 3 items per game hour. And you would be able to select what you would like the price of that certain item to be. The database would then average all prices from all players and display an "average asking price" for each item, in it's own window. I know this would require a bit of programming, and it is easier to just keep it a free economy....And it still would be a free economy, but with a reference base for prices created by the people, for the people. lol Anyways, just an idea. I think.....yes....Yes I am done.
  22. Couple of Ideas

Your market idea is good too. And you are right, if anyone got 120 in att/def/combat then they WOULD own ppl. But if they make it easier to level up, then maybe it wouldn't take so long to get there. And if the easier it is, then the more likely that a good deal of people can reach that level. (They did say they were re-doing the formulas, didn't they? I believe I read that somewhere). But unless the 120 is in the att/def/comb then it wouldn't mean automatic owning; if you reach top level in potion, then the master potion could be something like super-feast (just making something up), where your food level doesn't go down for an entire hour no matter what. So in that example 120 potion wouldn't mean owning...just a great potion for someone who has worked hard in that skill.
