    - Do you have long history with computer games or is EL your "first love"? Short History EL was the 1st game I played though I have tried a few others

     

    So let's start with "real" questions:

     

    1. The most important reason you play EL? (RL/EL friends, it's fun, you're just too addicted...) RL/EL friends

     

    2. Is there any other reasons you play? The time I spend with PrincssTitanium and other friends

     

    3. How did you find the game? On Google

     

    4. How often do you play? (No need to tell how many hours you play in day, just tell if you play daily or few times a week etc.) Daily

     

    5. Have you tried any other MMORPG's and do you still play them? Auteria and 2 others but not playing anymore

     

    Why have you stayed in EL? The smaller community

     

    6. Have you ever bought from EL shop? I have a few times and make bot payments

    Unfortunately this isn't about health care at all. Rather it is about transforming our society just as Obama said he would. Prepare for more to come.

     

    Interesting in this bill is government takeover of student loans. The government can borrow money at about 2% and will charge 6.4% on loans. They are taking that money + medicare money not to pay down the deficit but to fund their entitlement program. It is another sector of society they are trying to takeover. Auto Industry, banking, health care, student loans.....

     

    I am for health care reform but think it could be better accomplished handled by the private sector. Any global company would not jump into an undertaking this large. They would beta test ideas see what worked and what didn't until they came up with a good system.

     

    Another point is the US has 50% of our population that don't pay taxes and I tire of paying for others bad decisions. Many people who are considered poverty levels and get assistance have cable tv, cell phones, and other luxuries I think unnecessary.

     

    I don't think it is right that the fed shifted liability to the states for medicaid and that taxpayers from some states have to help cover other states medicaid costs because the fed bought off for their votes with special deals.

     

    There are so many things bad about this and the way it was done it is really a travesty.

     

    On the bright side I think Obama will be a 1 term president, Pelosi won't be speaker of the house, and that Reid will be gone too.

     

    I could go on but don't want to be compared with Tirun so I will stop now :rolleyes:

    The other annoying thing about this is that it distorts market prices.

     

    I have tried buying from market at what I consider a fair price only to have the seller tell me so and so bot buys for a higher amount. When in reality the other bot didn't have the gc to pay. The particular Item was binding stones a few weeks ago.

    As far as I am concerned I am happy with the price increase and don't see a problem.

    So you are happy with the price increase, but you suggest something to bring the prices down??

     

     

    If the cost of enriched essences and rare stones decrease so will the price I charge for weapons and armors. They are the only variable that I can't control. However, if rare stones and enriched essence price drops and players sell the end product below the cost of ingredients I will not lock step with them. I will stop manufacturing and crafting except for players who provide me ings as I refuse to put items in the game at less than my cost.

     

    Based on what Holar and others have stated I don't expect end product prices to be below cost regardless if rare stones and enriched essences are priced high or low. Manuer's will adjust their product prices accordingly.

    Did you even bother to read the first few posts of the 'manuers strike' thread?

     

     

    I am not exactly sure what you are referring to.

     

    What I am trying to imply is that the only ings that change in price and availablity that manuer's can't control are rare stones and enriched essences. As their price fluctuates so should the cost of manufactured products proportionally. As far as I am concerned I am happy with the price increase and don't see a problem.

    The issue with higher armor and weapon cost has to do with rare ings (Binding stones/enriched essence etc.) not the cost of minerals and ores. There also isn't a rift between manuer's and players who use the items.

     

    I can control the price of hydro bars by harvesting and making ings. Wolf bars are the same with the exception of the serp stone, which I have no control over. I occassionaly get a rare stone when harvesting but not that often. Also the way the rates of making rare essences are manipulated by Radu even with an arti cape I don't make many of those either

     

    So if I want to manu armor/weps or craft a COL or COM I have to buy the rare essences or stones needed.

     

    I decided to put those skills on hold long ago because I personally refused to put items in the game less than my cost

    and I refused to pay high prices for rare ess and stones and have been saving the ones I get.

     

    My other option to get these is to purchase in the shop? What 's the incentive to pay RL $ to make an item that sells for less than I could sell the ings by themsleves?

    I think there is also a correlation to the EL economy and the RL economy. When the RL economy went bad, players quit buying as many rare ess/stones in shop to re-sell in game for GC. Radu said his shop business declined due to the RL economy. So he tweaked the rates of making these items in an effort to get more players to buy from shop. The result of the tweaks and people spending less has made these items more rare and their price has gone up. (Supply & Demand) Anyone familiar with the De Beers' control over the diamond market?

     

    For me it is actually a blessing because it finally made some people wake up and smell the coffee and to sell items for what it cost them to make. Now I will get into manufacturing again because I can break even.

     

    My concern is what will happen when the cost of rare ings goes down again. Will prices revert to being below cost again?

     

    The other factor is more people have leveled their skills and can make Steel and Titanium armors and Great swords. These are the armors/weps that special items come from. With the addition of saving stones to the game people are more willing to risk a loss in an effort to make a special. When times were good and rare ess/stones were plentiful the market became saturated and prices were low beacause some mauer's/crafters were willing to sell for less than their cost. Now that isn't the case!

    Korrode is well within his rights to play the game the way he see's fit. Killing players on a PK map is not a crime.

    However, he shouldn't be surprised when a player decides to retaliate and play they game the way they see fit.

     

    Since KF is no drop I believe most wouldn't feel they need to retaliate because no loss is involved. Maybe their motivation could be a byproduct of taunting (Not necessarily what happened here), or them just being ridiculous.

     

    To me the hydro runner scenario is different because a loss is involved and the desire for retaliation is greater.

     

    Serping, Bag Jumping, and Broding are all elements of the game. I feel if used in a retaliatory fashion they serve their purpose. However, using these methods with no justification, just for the sake of it, is suspect behavior.

     

    Risk is involved anytime you enter a PK map on both sides of the issue, whether it be a hydro run or to PK. You can hedge the risk by using a variety of means including using Rosto or a Cotu.

     

    If players want to prey on the weak and take their stuff they need to be prepared to lose some of theirs as well.

     

    The intent is the same, you are trying to screw the other player out of something of value. Pk'ing a hydro runner and taking their stuff versus Broding and breaking some armor or weapons, both are within the rules.

     

    Killing a player on a PK map is not a crime and neither is retaliation! To expect someone not to retaliate is ridiculous.

     

    The game is designed to allow players to play how they want so long as they stay within the rules and all of these activities are within the rules.

    Come on now what happen to free enterprise and competition.

    If you wanna put your Starbucks beside my Starbucks let the price wars begin. :P :P

    Don't forget about zoning along with that free enterprise :P

    I think limiting is the answer to the problem and if bots need to be moved try the voluntary approach 1st. If not enough move then give preference to bots who have been in their location longest.

    I too was attacked by the Zip Guild but was fortunate enough to diss and tele. Since it has happened I have serped Bretrayno and Shocker.They both train on fluffs. I got Bret in the fluff cave on way to hydro and Shocker in Skf. Oh and if I get a chance I will Brod them too.

     

    Be advised Senzon and Spark do the same thing.
