a way round this trading problem (as that game we aren't allowed to mention discovered) is the ability to withdraw large quantities of items as notes which you then use to pass over to your friend in one easy lot.what!!!!?

When I'm done, I sneak out the drive-thru window, leaving a trail of chicken McNuggets (now with all white meat!) behind me.

you also have to realise that many people who post here have no idea what their gfx card is or how to find it..maybe you should explain that too.I also don't have a "gfx card". I do however have a "graphics card" or as some say "video card". Do you need info on that?
To be blunt: if you're trying to help people, drop the stupid Internet dialect and speak plainly, in English. Keep in mind that the people you're trying to help may have limited English vocabulary and any short forms or 133t talk is going to make it impossible for them. It doesn't matter so much in other forums, but here you should be as clear as possible.

I wrote an identical patch about 2 months. It came in handy a couple of times but turned out to be largely useless.

I also didn't create a diff, which seemed to confuse some people. Instead of just patching their code automatically, I was forcing them to manually edit 1 file and insert nearly half a dozen lines of code. I'm a slave driver, asking the impossible as usual.
Hell, when I was a kid we had to walk 5 miles through 2' of snow in bare feet just to feed our punch cards into a machine the size of a house. You kids now, with your new fangled diff and patch programs have it too easy.

I agree, some of the stuff is better off on the server. Kick Ent in the ass get some of this done.
And I redid the storage sort 2 days later using quick sort. Get your head outta your ass.

Until it's been added to the client and a new version released, you're out of luck if you can't recompile the client yourself.
Both of the ideas you mentioned have been done. One to search the storage a specific item, and one to sort the #storage return values (written by me). I don't think either are in the CVS though.
But if you go to www.elrocks.com/elc you can download my client, which is based on the CVS of about a week ago and includes a few other patches too (listed on the page at that URL).
ps. If you choose to use this client, I take no responsibility. If it violates any rules (I don't think it does), it's your ass. It's like a gun: I'll make it for you, but if you shoot someone, you do the time.

Ent gives everyone a second chance, but didn't you blow it already by coming back and spamming again?
I've seen this happen before and always thought, if you got muted for spamming the first time and then came back and did it again (under a different name, or not) and your got yourself banned - that's your 2 chances.
And it's not like you didn't know it was wrong; you were muted already. And I'm sure Learner warned you at least a couple times before that.
Seems like the record stands at:
First offense (or first few): Learner warned you.
Second offence: Learner muted you.
Third offence: Learner banned you.
Well, that's that. Cya.
(I feel cruel today. Ent, unban this guy and I'll quit. You know I'm serious.)
