Might I suggest you take this time to read all the sticky threads in each forum? It'll help alot in the future in directing you what to expect, do and not do, etc. And read some of the current threads to get an idea about what's going on in the game community.

It may take time. There isn't always a moderator reading the forums, and even then they might have to wait for Entropy.

This suggestion has come up before. I'm too lazy to search for the thread. That's the original author's job anyhow.

I don't want to seem like I'm talking down to you or anything, but this question betrays some inexperience with programming and the open source concept. Do you have a copy of the source code? You know you have to download it from the CVS, right? Do you have a development environment (ya, you could use any text editor) and compiler? Do you have the library files? I read the question and thought: Is this guy going to open the executable/binary file and try to make modifications to it? Again, if you know what you're doing and I just misunderstood the question, no offence meant.

What about implementing magic spells that effect an area? They're cast on an area and effect creatures and players in that area for a set time. I'm sure you all know what I mean: for example, a "noxious cloud" that you can cast and causes x damage per second to any creature in the cloud. You could tweak it into all kinds of things too: gas clouds, metor showers, fire rain, some kind of ground effect that holds you in place, etc.

Is it possible to address a PM in the forums to more than one person? For example, if I put "Entropy; Roja" in the "to" field, will that work?

Any new weapon is a good idea in my book. But I agree, things are a little light on the magic side, and this is known to most too. No vote from me.

Ya. I was way into that game then upgraded my O/S and it wouldn't work anymore. I was in withdrawl for weeks....

It think it's more about your local computing power than the server. Your own machine will be rendering the graphics, the server just tells it what to render and where.

I'm curious what you did, that you promise not to do again... Ya, there's some guilt in there somewhere. Ban him until he 'fesses up!

I did that a few weeks ago. I think I have every map in the game available on my site now. And there's lots (but not all) resources, npcs, etc. marked on them.

Please also consider a new command that will make a trip to the bathroom for me; my bucket's full.

What type of situation? Noobs whining because they can't use their favorite macro-program to get high exp level overnight? No, my orange haired friend, I mean how do other games handle a situation where a macroing player can gain alot of experience by doing the same thing over and over? How do they stop it? Do they even try to stop it?

I found a chat log of the incident: I think there were some other players involved to though. Romans and jailors it sounds like, but I wasn't there.

How about if you get within 2-3 squares of another player or a monster, they can see you. That way you still need to sneak around a bit. And required a high magic nexus.

Wasn't it the puppets at CNN that were coming up with the excuses?

The worst thing is that ever since Ent started using that decapitated Bush avatar, I keep associating him with that image. Put that together with sleeping naked, and, well, ... ug.
