  1. EMU Efficiency Checker

Oh, ok, whew. I was wondering why the code for that was so long. Lol
  2. Bows and arrows!

Aww man! I missed the Bow testing.
  3. Pre RC9

    No problems, thus far.
  4. EMU Efficiency Checker

Really? Cool, maybe I can do PHP then. Edit: Nice, LabRat... Works better than mine.
  5. EMU Efficiency Checker

Aphistolas, if you can do a little BASIC then try either SharpDevelop or Microsoft Visual Basic 2005 Express SharpDevelop is better, in my opinion(It's smaller and does C# too), but both are free. Going from BASIC to Visual Basic is very easy. The general syntax and most commands are the same. Edit: Or, if you want BASIC, there's always FreeBasic.
  6. EMU Efficiency Checker

Really? It works for me. o.O (And yeah, VB.NET... The only language I can understand well. )
  7. EMU Efficiency Checker

Oops, sorry... Fixed now. Labrat: Probably true, but A) I don't know PHP, and B ) I mainly did it to see if I could... If anybody else can actually use it, that's just a bonus. Hehe
  8. Help me name my cat!

Hmm... My Grandmother used to have a cat that looked exactly like that one. Its name was Ebony. It was an outdoor cat, and lived to be about Twenty.
  9. EL Crashes on Vista(1.5.0)

Recently my family moved in with my Grandmother, and she has an almost new Vista that I've been trying to get EL to work on. It crashes on log-in every single time. System Specs: Windows Vista Premium(Is that what it's called?) Intel Pentium D 3 GHz 1 GB of DDR2 Ram 160 GB HD Space SiS mirage 3 Graphics - Is this the problem? Apparently a really cheap integrated card... So far I've tried: Updating the Drivers, Making sure the Data path was correct, changing to poor man and etc, making sure to run in Admin. mode(What a pain...), running in "XP SP2" and Vista modes(Someone suggested that, not sure if it'd help or not), etc etc etc. Thanks in advance for any help! P.s. I looked through and tried all the previous helps I could find, but none of them worked.
  10. EL Crashes on Vista(1.5.0)

I've actually not tried that yet, because I figured that if it couldn't handle the Official client, it wouldn't do too great with the Vertex programs and unfixed bugs. I'll give that a shot later today.
  11. Testing the Nvidia fix, part 1

So far, RC 6 is running great. The only problems I can see(at all) is that Snakes are upside down, and the sky is totally black.(Is it supposed to be?)
  12. Free/Open Software -

Hey all. One of my Hobbies is researching/trying out about every single piece of Free and Open Source Software I can find mention of, and as you may have need or interest in some of these, I thought I'd post a few of my favorites. Most of you have probably heard of or use some of these, but hopefully there's a few that you can use that you haven't heard of already. *Note: As I am not on Linux(Yet!), none of these programs are for Linux only, but most have versions for it. The Grand prize goes to: Blender - 3d Models, Animation, Rendering, Editing, Particles, and decent Video editing. Pros: Extremely powerful, non-stop development and growing community. The version due out in a month or so finally has full Hair tools that allow you to Cut, Grow, and Comb hair! (Among other things) Cons: Not many, actually. It's very easy to set up, works on almost every OS out there, is a small file size, and can do almost anything. Hmm... It can seem a bit Complicated at first, but after reading the Wiki, it becomes easy. Links: MAIN WEBSITE - Blender.org Gallery ---------- See some of the things Blender can do. (Click on "Archive" for other months) Wiki ------------- Best way to learn. Now, by category: 2d: GIMP -- Image Editing/Painting/Icon Creation/etc -- www.gimp.org Info: Great for doing any kind of 2d job. I use it for Icon creation, emblem and logo making, textures, and basically anything I can. It works great, although the multiple windows can get annoying from time to time. Older versions made my Wacom really slow and jerky, but this newest one changed all that. Inkscape -- 2d vector graphics/Paint program -- www.inkscape.org Info: I don't really do too many Vector graphics, but as Vector graphics go, this is a decent program. It's got a whole lot of features. Flash: 3d Flash Animator -- Decent 2d/3d Flash animation -- http://www.3dfa.com/ Info: I've not done much hunting for Flash programs, but I've had this for a while now, and it works quite well. I think there's both a free and paid version, but the free version does a lot. Video editing/effects: Jahshaka -- Video editing and effects program -- http://jahshaka.org/ Info: I've had this for a long time, and I must say, it works GREAT. Really fun to play around with, lots of effects, and very fast... It uses OpenGL. If you like doing any kind of Video work, or just making your brother look worse than he already does( ), I strongly suggest you get this. VirtualDub -- Video "stuff" -- www.virtualdub.com Info: Very fast AVI editing, etc... I don't use this a LOT, but it's great for splitting or combining video and .wav audio. Audio: Audacity -- Audio editing and effects -- http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ Info: The best free Audio software I'm found. I'm sure most of you use it already, though. Web development: Nvu -- Web development/Scripting(Decent Dreamweaver replacement) -- www.nvu.com Info: Very nice for doing websites. <-- Simple, but to the point, I guess. Lol Misc: Voodoo -- 3d Camera Tracking -- http://www.digilab.uni-hannover.de/docs/manual.html Info: Used for 2d or 3d tracking of the Camera motion in live-action footage. I think this is student developed for practice, but it works GREAT! I love this! INNO -- Setup Compiler -- http://www.jrsoftware.org/isinfo.php Info: Used for making Windows installers. It uses a simple scripting language, but you can also make an installer using the Wizard. Another of my favorites. I've been using it for a long time. LIGHTspeed Text Editor -- Simple Notepad replacement -- www.lte.lightspeedco.com Info: Sorry, just couldn't get by without slipping this in. It's for Windows XP and Vista, and uses .NET 2.0, but actually DOES work quite well, for simple tasks.(Amazing!) Please let me know if you find bugs or would like to request a feature. Media Subtitler -- A subtitler -- http://www.divxland.org/subtitler.php Info: Works very nice, but can't combine the Subtitles/Video. You'll need to export the file and combine it in a seperate program. Ok, that's all for now, as it's getting late and I'm tired, but I'll finish the list soon. Please let me know if I left out any that are good! -LIGHTspeed-
  13. Free/Open Software -

EaglePrince: That said, here's another REALLY great one that I found just yesterday! IcoFX -- Completely free Icon Creator/Editor/Extraction. -- http://icofx.xhost.ro/ I've been looking for a tool like this for a very long time. PNGs, ICOs, extraction, effects and tools, you name it, it'll do it... and quite nicely at that.
  14. EL Crashes on Vista(1.5.0)

Pardon me for taking so long. Cloud shadows are disabled, and along with every other quality option, and it's the newest drives, but still it crashes. Ah yes, and Vista had problems with the newest drivers and now everything on the computer looks like a compressed Jpeg. I hate Vista.
  15. EL Crashes on Vista(1.5.0)

Yep... Downloaded the patch AND have Poor Man on. I figured so.
  16. Sorry, I didn't know. That's just what it posted in my Error log. I decided it may be a good idea to update my Graphics Card drivers, even though they appeared to work great, and yup, that was the problem. It no longer crashes for me.
  17. As with some others here, all 3 Clients crash instantly for me. The error I see posted is: My video card is a Geforce 6100.
  18. Hello all, I did a search for this and nothing came up, so I thought I may as well suggest it. Subject: Moon and Stars Medallion Formulas. Moon Medallion Formula - 1 Polished Sapphire <--- Could be removed or changed. 1 Silver Medallion 2 Fire Essences Stars Medallion Formula - 1 Polished Ruby <--- Could be changed to 1 Polished Sapphire? 1 Silver Medallion 2 Fire Essences As some of you know, the Stars and Moon Medallion Icons were changed a while back, and though the formula suited the old Icons, they don't do justice to the new ones. I realize that this formula has been used for such a long time, changing it may be a no-no just because people are so used to the old ones, but... Thank you for your time! P.s. I orginally had a third suggestion involving something entirely different, but as I've forgotten it, it'll have to wait for another time.
  19. Medallion Formulas

Though I had forgotten it, I also just noticed that Moon Medallion, which used to be Silver, still uses a Silver bar. With both the Jewel and Bar type off, it's quite confusing, and although really not something major, when someone gets the time, I think either the pictures should be changed(again), or the formula changed to better suit the Icon. Edit: Errors...
  20. Happy 5 Year Anniversary, EL!

Congratulations to Eternal-lands, and thanks to all the Developers, Mods, and ESPECIALLY Radu and Roja for this great game. There was a guy named LIGHT, who really wasn't bright; His cape was cool, but what a fool; His CoL was on too tight!
  21. Happy Valentines Day

  24. Medallion Formulas

Most crafters, even lower leveled one do have all those books. I can be fine example, my crafting level is only 27, but I read all gemstone minings, processings and emebedding books, just to make sure, I won't be in any need, if I suddenly decide to go crafting hard. Same here. As mentioned in the first post, these icons already ARE the New medallion images...
  25. Medallion Formulas

    Righto.
