  1. OMG, the PK is dead!

    Good ideas but i dont think that something will change.Maybe things will become a bit better but as long as a/d and oa exists and you dont get any kind of exp or award while pking things will remain the same.(i wouldnt like to see oa and a/d limits in the game btw) Anyway getting a few he's and sr's (when u kill someone) and not losing expensive items (when u die) is one of the smartest ideas i ever saw in the forums.

    It's generally known that atm, there should be a level cap at 179, just noone got there yet. (Correct me if I'm wrong, I've always heard that. ) I don't see the great point in that and I don't feel like leveling up specialization skills along with my normal skills that I have now already. :-/ PK is actually here to get a break from other things and be fun. When you want fun in RL, let's say an amusement park, I think you'll pay for your fun too. Cost, see above. Don't win anything.. depends what you see as winning. I find enough satisfaction in it if I can beat my opponent and make them lose a rosto. It's also good to know that you can beat someone. And personally, not to see my name go higher, but because the people I do want to PK are in that higher a/d ranks. Besides, p/c makes out a great deal. Look at TempesT, he's ~17/8 a/d lower then me and for as far as I can tell, his coord is so buffed I need to pot up if I want to fight back to him. ;-/ -Blee To reach oa 179 u ll need years so everybody will keep training. Weapon specialiazation and maximum levels is a common tactic to other games were pk is the most important thing and players pk all the time and believe me it works. (I wouldn't want to see limits to be added to the game anyway.) Weapon specialiazation is a motive though. The fact that you are having fun the way pk is now doesn't mean that others are having fun too for the same reasons. And maybe you are mature and you dont care about rankings but there are players that are "sick" with rankings and leveling. I agree with some of the things that you mentioned anyway.

    I am really glad about this post because there were people claiming that during the non drop's day only 20 people were fighting in kf!! If people want more pk then they should ask to put limits in oa (maximum oa 150 and maximum a/d 150). Something that i dont think it will ever happen. Or weapons specialization to be added. The more u use a sword or an axe or a mace the more you become capable with it. I don't think this will happen either. Or finally to change completely the game and make pk cheaper. This wont happen also for many reasons. Thats the truth. People dont pk all the time because rostos cost, they dont win anything while pking(no leveling up) and they prefer to train a/d to see their names higher in rankings. Conclusion:Pk is not dead but it isn't the first priority.

    The whole conversation was very usefull.Some people really mentioned some good reasons against multi.(I voted yes).Of course players that want multi to be allowed are more.People that were banned never voted... Ent from the first moment cleared that there will be rules and suddenly players started talking about armies of alts!! Generally some people read what they want to read and understand what they want to uderstand...

  7. What is your opinion about multiplaying?

    I agree fully with agis in this part most games i know allow mulitplay and the economy is not ruined like some of you predict. Some games even have a shared storage between all chars. Do you know those games well? Let's sum up some of the differences: An enormous amount of different items No unlimited recourses Class systems, forcing cooperation because of limitations with race/classes Need for different classes to gain exp as one character Pay for play, or one username per set of characters No serious advantage to be made from alts, because uber items require raids, mains provide twinkies for alts, rather then alts provide stuff for mains Non tradeable items, being the better items Stats/abilities increase mostly with items, rather then exp. I'm not even done yet. I seriously would advise anyone that has not built multi-disciplined character by themselves to not try to imagine how big the advantage in el is to trade with your own chars. Secondly, I'd like to see which mods would think there will be less work for them with restricted multiplay, then illegal multiplay. For example, how would you even judge scamming? If I buy something for way too low price, did I scam that person or did the other person play an act to do me a favor, then to turn me in as scammer? That's a bigger mess then clear-cut same ip trading. Do u play another multi game?Can u tell me your chars and the servers u play to see if u know the game? The are many items to cover many needs for different classes,races and alts. Limited recourses? There is a cooldown but u dont need unlimited resources. For example u can make a bandage with a piece of linen cloth. No serious advantages from alts?A hunter with a pet can help my warrior char a lot, or a mage to buff the warrior.Also an alt can help u to level up faster and get the non tradeable items.Or an engineer can help a lot a blacksmith... Stats increase with items?You cant wear items if u wont level up u know...u need oa and not nexuses. Btw a level 15 player with crapy items can kill a char with a level 23 that has better items .Everything depends from your build... And i am not even done yet

    Some players like me have private rankings. Rankings are not that important anyway cause p/c makes u strong. If u wanna find out someone's a/d just watch him training. Or pk with him and from the exp u ll get from him u can calculate his a/d. The things i said doesnt mean that i disagree with your suggestion though.

    Your reason for wanting "illegal multi" to be allowed is so you can trade items to your friends... Then you go on to say that the maximum emu for additional characters would be 300, which would probably rule out trading with your friends anyhow. I think you forgot your point somewhere in your argument. These rules you specify would require a mod team of 100 people to keep track of all the characters, whom their alts are, whom their friends are, who has which perk, etc. It's completely unrealistic. Thats why i said that ent knows better than us which rules to add. More harvesting events are not unrealistic at all, is it?And if u rent preconfigured alt's or ant's from an npc or learner with maximum emu is this unrealistic too?Maybe it is, maybe its not. Its impossible to buy 3 human nexus removal stones,5 summoning removal stones or 5 will removal stones or whatever so as i said that was a good description years ago. Unless new negs will be added.

    In our guild there is family that is playing. Jammaster and his kids kagen,jaxbot,alxyndyr. I was never on line at the same time with alyx and i wanted to encourage her by giving her a bp cape and some others items. So i was afraid to give the items to jammaster because i was afraid that they would be banned. The same thing was happening when we had guild projects. 1 col for each member etc. And jaxbot and kagen were afraid to trade. Jamm and his family are one of nicest persons i met in el. Isn't this a bit unfair for them? If illegal multi will be allowed several new rules can be added. 1.More harvesting events 2.Maximum 1-2 alts 3.You can trade only at storage 4.Maximum emu for the alt char 300 5.Alt cant take perks like mm 6.If the main char has anti then alt cant take negs. And i am sure that ent will thing additional and better rules than me. "Eternal Lands has no fixed classes or professions, so you can always do new things and develop new skills without having to create a new character!" That description was good 2 years ago. Now u need additional pps for summoning and summoning stones, additional pps for potioning, human 10 for arti cape, additional pps for crafting, enginnering inorganic artificial.

    I didn't do anything else than using the same logic that most people used to say no. The truth is that most of them dont care about the game or the economy. They are afraid that other players will take anti and they will be owned badly. They care only about themselves. Some others that said no, do care about the game and i respect them. For example all those that talked about the changes in el community. But what will happen if 1000 new players will start playing the game?(i am not talking about multi here)Shall we say to ent plz dont allow more new players to play cause the community spirit will be lost? And finally its a common tactic to allow multi in most rpg games. Unless blizzard that allows multi are a bunch of amatuers and we know better than them if multi will benefit a game or not. Look the last person that got banned for illegal multi. ADko. A pr0 100's char and so rich that can afford to buy a tit plate of freezing and a js of cooldown. A real threat for the economy...and the game.

    Antisocial provides 10 pps cause you cant buy or sell from the npc.There is no difference at all and antisocial has no meaning if you are using your guildies or alts to buy items.If not banned then anti should be removed from the game.

    Don't take it personally but i wonder how many of the people that voted no have allready antisocial and they are using their guildies to buy or sell items. If multi is illegal, then using your guildies is illegal too cause its exactly the same thing. And people that using their guildies must be banned too.

    What if we could rent ants or alts and pay to an npc or to learner or to the el shop (for a month) lets say 20k or 5$ per month?The ants (or the alts) can have a limit to their carry cappacity (300 emu). 1 ant per player with a small emu wont bring the end of the world..

    Lets see this in praxis. I am harvesting titanium with my alt and i am training on feros with my main char.I minimize the window of my main char and i open the window of my alt. by the time i must go back the feros will probably go away and i ll start searching. i am allready losing the spawn sometimes without multing lol. Even if i wont lose the fero i must watch my health in my alt,the harvesting events, i must map walk,click on the ladder, click in the exit of the cave,map walk again, click at the entrance of the storage,click on the storage and put the items.at the same time i must train with my alt. Well at the end of the day i ll get no exp and a few gc. The few gc i ll get, would be probably almost the same gc i would get if i was killing more feros. Anyway if someone wants to make money i believe that he must concentrate to make money.if someone wants exp he must train hard.Thats the only way and i dont think multi playing will help them.And see all those who got banned,Most of them were low level players... Multi will help people who want to sell weapons to trick etc. 1500 people was an example and i wasnt talking about the alts but the people that got banned because they had alts and all those that will be banned in the future. We are in 2007 and its not difficult to have a dial up connection,a dsl and a wi fi internet connection at the same time,we can even have 2 ip's from the same pc.And a pentium 3 is enough to play el. Also if more gc will be produced, more gc will be needed too.

    While the guy will minimize and maximize windows to play with "his slave" i ll score 400k exp per hour on fluffies and he ll get 200k. After a few weeks players will be bored to multi and mainly they ll use alts to take antisocial.

    I voted yes. Of course there should be a limit. People that think that if they have 2 alts will become rich are 100% wrong.If someone wants to level up he must concentrate to one of his chars. So nothing will change. I personally created an alt to experiment and to start summoning cause my main char is 120 oa so its difficult to gather pps. If multi is impossible to be added then some new negs or a new system to get nexuses easier and cheaper would be welcome. But lets be honest. There are many players that use different pc's and different ip's to illegal multi... What do u people prefere? Bans and 600 people on line or multi and 1500?

    I downloaded the rc3 and after that i replaced the old .exe file. After a few fluffies the client crashed. Thats what i found written in errorlog.txt: Log started at 2007-05-24 20:09:51 localtime (GTB Standard Time) [20:09:52] Error: Can't open file "quest.log" [20:09:52] Error: Can't open file "custom_mirrors.lst" [20:09:52] Error: Can't open file "commands.lst" [20:10:00] Got invalid sound number Last message repeated 2 times [20:10:11] Client closed After that i disabled the sound. Around 8 minutes later the client crashed again but there was nothing new written inside errorlog.txt!! The error reporting service showed ModName cal3d.dll
  19. Crown of the mage.Provides additional +120 mana + 100 health + 3 magic resistance. Ingredients: 1 com, 1 medalion of life, 10 titanium bars, 1 bronze bar, 1 serpent stone, 20 magic essences. Instict is implemented but its not used from players.So my suggestion is that 2 pps to instict should be equal with 4 pps of coordination to block-avoid hits. Maybe the same can happen with reasoning (chance to score a hit) and vitality (less damage). Players can create different "builds" this way. It will make the game more interesting now that the nexus and attributes removal stones were added to the game. And a new neg. "You cant hide". MM cape doesnt work. 2 pps
  20. The remote heal spell is in the game! To heal 5 guildies around u with one casting?I dont think so.. read encyclopedia... is lvl based! Did i mention anything about level based?To understand it better read here what i mean. Spell range Its an older suggestion made by hades and maybe this thing will be implemented as ent said. If such thing happen then this col will be usefull. Also it will be usefull for summoners and some players can become something like a mage for their guildies. The builds now cause some people asked me about it.Lets see an example. U add 4 instict and 2 vitality. U get better exp than adding 2 physique and 4 coords.After that u can remove instict and vitality with removal stones.This way players can choose between different builds, get better exp, avoid reseting, the stones will be sold in a higher price in the market. Also many summoners would choose to invest some pps to instict if instict was affecting more the chance to avoid hits than coords. At the moment instict is unfortunately almost useless.

    1) Celeron 333 256 mb ram with an old heroic voodoo 3 2000. Its running slackware linux and maybe i ll install puppy linux or damn small linux too.Its my favourite pc. 2) Pentium 3 800 mhz 384 mb ram, Ge force mx 440 250 gb hd western digital. Its dual boot running Windows XP and Debian etch. 1) Acer travelmate intel pentium 1,5 m 1024 mb ram ,ati mobility radeon 9700 64 mb running win xp and debian etch. I think its time for an amd 64 bit. And nvidia sli of course...

    My client is crashing too. Intel pentium m 1,5 Ghz, ati mobility radeon 9700. I updated my graphics card drivers but the client is still crashing.

  24. I don't dissagree with you but if a remote heal spell will be added to the game(to heal your guildies) 100-120 mana would be ok. I am doing this suggestion mostly cause com's are not used a lot.
  25. I agree with kibora but it wouldnt be bad if additional god quests were added. For example 1 nmt cape and u get 1 magic nexus, or one tit long of thermal and u get one artificial etc. 1 expensive quest for each god with nmt cape and magic swords.
