Just thought I'd put in my 2 cents.. I haven't been around Spiritus when he's been like this and he's always been very nice to me when I'm in the game. And just because you rant about something and have thoughts about something, you're not putting it down...everyone IS entitled to their own opinion...because we try to share it with others doesn't mean anything... Hell, Jakuren and I want to go to Japan some day. We're both anthropology majors and we both live in America...when you're no longer ethnocentric about other cultures, you can find ALL sorts of stuff that's wrong with your OWN culture...America is built on bullshit and taxing everything that's illegal (drugs, gambling, sex). If it's illegal or at least bad for you (though, I don't know how sex could be bad ) American government is more than happy to tax it. We live in THE most screwed up society there is!! It's no wonder Jakuren and I want to move to Japan. It seems everyday everything goes more and more downhill. When I was younger, we still had to learn spelling in school. Now? They have to spell by phonetics....no one will be able to spell correct EVER again. How screwed up is that? So, yeah...frankly I agree, America sucks...but right now, it's home... As you can see, everyone IS entitled to their own opinion, but also, opinions are like @$$holes, everyone has one, but we don't have to know about them...

Hey all, I was wanting to know what all guilds there are that exist, your rules, how you recruit, etc and I was wanting to put it all on EL Manuals. If a representitive from each guild will either post here or e-mail me at: alastria@blackholeofinsanity.com I'd much appreciate it!! That is, if you want your guild listed... Figure that can be added, the e-mail/in-game name of someone they can reach, and the address of their guild's website... That way newbie can see what there is out there, etc.... I know there's a guild list on the EL website, and even the link is out there near the top, a lot of people visit EL Manuals often enough that they might want to check there, too... If you want, you can just tell me that all the information you want added is on the EL website and I'll post it over, but if you want more added, that'd be great, too Just a thought...

As weapons? hehe...hehe....hehe....XFIGX, sir_odie, ogerawa, and I already do that in chat... :oops: Fish are fun as weapons Though, the reason FOR fishing would be to cook ...Jakuren was explaining to me the other day about how in EQ, working on your cooking skill, you can actually get high enough you can make wedding cakes, frosting and everything, decorating, etc, etc...you can make some friggin' huge stuff in EQ... 'Course, this isn't EQ, but still, fishing is just purely....fun I mean, really....when we kill stuff now, we have raw meat...only thing we use it for is summoning...wouldn't it be kewl if we could have cookouts? hehe...it does get kind of annoying if you're out in the middle of nowhere killing stuff, you don't have health pots, you didn't bring bread, you can't find a vegetable garden or fruit, what do you do?? Kill the deer that's walking by and cook the meat so you can bring your food level back up...or go fish at the body of water nearby and catch yourself a nice salmon, squeeze the mercury out of it and set it up to cook... Besides, on the whale oil part, means you can buy kerosene (or get whale oil) lamps for Crystal Caves... I mean, isn't it enough we can go walk out into the water some anyways and we can sit in row boats...hehe... 'Course, whales might have to be a group thing instead of single person...I don't know if we should be allowed to have harpoons in the game, but that would be funny to kill a rabbit with...

hey bubsy, when you need to post stuff like this, e-mail me, don't post it here...I don't always get around to reading all the threads... And I've had about 3 different people tell me they're 14's...so I honestly don't know, I haven't attempted to kill any yet...

I rather like the Everquest Level up sound...hehe... Jakuren had it for a while on his Pocket PC, but for some weird reason, it took a lot of power or something LOL

75? Holy smeg! Does ANYONE have level 75?! You'd definately HAVE to have stuff in between keep your levels running to get to 75...

Bwaha...yeah...that's what I did the first time...and 2nd time...and 3rd time I wandered into the CC's...it was kinda kewl to find so many different colours of impatiens and black roses...

I rather like the idea.. I'm no where near that high enough of a level to do much more than fur hats, but it'd be an awesome thing to do in between...the prices on the capes vary enough that you should be able to make them at certain levels... Possibly even add a manufacturing cloak??? But yeah...that would be a sweet idea...or maybe certain quests in the game where you have an NPC that enchants the pre-cloak material for you to make into a cloak... Or, possibly, it's the colours that give the enchantment...you have to pick certain flowers that are harder to find than others (swamp candles, black roses, even though you can buy them) to mix and make a dye that will enchant the material you buy?? Just some additional ideas...

Hey Leeloo, what would be the name for the cave file so it would pop up when you hit tab in the cave? I've been trying to draw one myself (haven't gotten very far yet, though)...I'd like it to be accessible for the game instead of flipping back and forth..

Yeup, Jakuren and I had the same problem..he said he couldn't get out of one of the rooms upstairs in the Merry Souls Tavern, I went to investigate and sure enough, the door won't let you out... Darn the luck, being stuck in a room together... :twisted: BTW, this is one of those times of "Thank goodness BEAM is still working"

m'kay, making sure...I just know that a lot of parents DON'T monitor what their kids are playing or watching... Sometimes kids can stumble into something accidentally... All it was is that I got worried about that level 20 harvesting 8 year old...*L* it's weird sometimes how much kids know, but don't know when they get onto a computer...

Are you running windows xp or have Winzip downloaded? Winzip, if you choose Winzip wizard, will automatically unzip the file when you double click on it to your unzip folder in your C:/ drive, unless you tell it to unzip to a different drive... Once you have the folder, just double-click on el.exe and play

I dunno...ZoneTheta and I ran into an 8 year old yesterday who was begging for weapons...his harvesting was at level 20 because he'd been picking flowers like crazy...I asked him many times if he's read the manuals and beginner's guide and he said that he had but none of it made sense to him... At first, when running into the guy, I thought he was a someone's multiple account, trying to scam people out of items, but ZoneTheta talked to him a bit longer and found out this user info... So, may not be idiot proof if you're actually use to gaming, but it can still be a big game to someone who's not use to stuff like this and they're more use to Nintendo's Super Mario Bros. games or something...especially if you're young.... Out of curiousity, shouldn't there be an age restriction on this game? It's mainly that there's still obscenities that get through the newbie chat, people find ways around the "smeg" filter...the only violence is killing animals (and other players, if you're off in pkland)...or is the game still too much into beta for something along the lines of ESRB ratings...or at least a...er...policy of some sort saying yes, I'm of such-and-such age... Even Neopets, a game that has very little violence (except you can fight other people's pets, but no one dies), has a policy you have to sign when signing up with the website...parental guidelines, etc...if you're under a certain age, you can't receive messages or anything....you're limited in that respect, but you can still play the game... Or, like I said, is the game still too beta-ish to do anything about something like that?

Um..delete the install that you have and THEN re-install it? I dunno...hehe
