  1. anything they summon will have there guild tag attached to it, if there are stones used during a fight between two teams from the same guild only one of the teams summons would have any tags attached to it as 1 of the teams will have to leave the guild to fight


  2. pookies i already did that, we got a dont care, a yes, and a no.

     

    luci, it displays a (*) so-so summoned a one eyed purple people eater message when you summon something in the normal style, there is no (*) when you use a summon stone.

  3. alright, the .6 issue has been cleared up, the only remaining problem is with summoning so heres the final deal on the matter:

     

    -standard summoning WILL be permitted, monsters with the strength of tigers and lower ONLY

    -summoning stones will NOT be permited at all

  4. *sigh* mufoss i understand the difference allowing summoning makes, it gives a huge advantage to larger teams, i originally did not include any rules about summoning and then when it occured to me that some people may want to summon during the contest i added that it was against the rules. some players asked me about it in game so i decided to have the competitors decide. it is very clear to me that the *CO* team has voted no, and that you are against it whether your in the contest or not. i've just pmed Toomass ingame and he says that if summoning is not allowd his team will not be entering the contest, so apparantly either way we are losing an entered team, and it puts our votes at 1 team for yes, 1 team for no, and 1 team that doesnt care. unless you are officially in a team i cannot count your vote.

    im sorry mufo, im just trying to make the contest fair and make it so the people enterint the contest are happy. as i already said, the reason for the vote is to allow the competitors to decide. if they vote no, there will be no summon stones allowd. if they vote no and ask not to allow any summons at all, no summons will be permitted at all. if you plan on competing in one of the entered teams but havent said so yet, just vote no. your vote counts as much as anyones =)

     

    EDIT: mufossa if you would be so kind as to read the bold print next to the teams whos credit value comes to 100.6 and the post i made about it after you objected i would be very appreciative =).


  6. yes all Summons should be allowed, gives the weaker teams more of a advantage and there will be a lot of money in this tournament... 10k per person and some teams have 5+ ppl, with the 10k entry fee im tryn to draw more ppl in...

    MOST people only entered because summons werent allowed, I WILL bet that if you allow summons HALF the teams drop

  7. read the bold print next to their team, same goes for ANY team. it is a design flaw on my part, not bending the rules because pookies helped come up with the idea for the contest. In EL my guild is enemies with pookies, we talk over pm sometimes but there is no big conspiracy or w/e.

     

    2 top, 1 middle, and 1 low is a balanced and fair team.

    Why did i make a guild?

     

    I was pretty much tired of the useless chitchats and the dumb questions.

     

    I would like to have a guild where people just lvl their skills and do what they like, but not bug me with it. :)

     

    So what's the prupose of this guild?

    Well it has enuff enemies, so this will not be boring :)

    Stick up for eachother in PK, it will be a guild where we will stick up for eachother in PK, we may not be the strongest of all, but if we fight as a real team then we might get something done.

     

    What if this is not possible?

    Hey i will enjoy myself on my own, will lvl my skills and eventually just get killed in PK (i'm used to that anyway)

     

    So why join?

    I read messages a lot like:

    I don't wanna be in a guild:

    cause of the useless chats (well me too)

    cause of the noobs in guild (well me too)

     

    I will not be recruiting a lot and expect the future leaders not to do either, i will not accept members below lvl 50 at least (for alch and harv it will even be lvl 70).

     

    Nah this guild will be too small cause hardly anyone can join and won't wanna join cause it is too small:

  10. i like this idea

     

    i also like the idea of crafting CoL/CoM to have a small chance of creating an enhanced version of the crown's standard attributes, for ex a CoL that had a chance to heal you in reasonably large amounts on hit (like that blue staff, i think you mentioned that) or that had a +200 hp bonus instead of 150, and a CoM that has a small chance to add the amount of mana used rather that subtract it, or a very small chance to completely restore your mana (would be nice as no summoner likes sitting for 10 minutes waiting on SR cooldown ;))

    3-I know many have diferent a/d lvls, def higher the attack or vice versa

    4-The choosen skill to rule the category the participant will enter will be the stronger doesnt matter if it is a or d

    5-prizes for category for the stronger one to the weaker one

     

    I think if it hapen more ppl will participate cause a 40s chars agains a 140s one is kinda stupid

    I dont mean this in a disrespectful way BUT you are wrong......a little guild called DiE! mabye you heard of them? :blink: anyway they used to fight me when i was Much higher A/d then they were and they were able to win, they were VERY strategic ...they would fight me either 1v1( or 3v1 sometimes they loose sometimes they win BUT Nienora proved to be a VERY good strategist Even 1v1 against a much stronger person....so that just goes to show U R WRONG you dont need to break the contest into clases to have it fair ..summon stones/magic armour and various weapon help even out the odds

     

    exactly =D, i think i even remember having mufo in my kill counter back when i was in DIE! from fighting u w/ dushan/wexy/etc... good times :happy:

     

    and exvitermini...we arent looking for a huge # of guilds to join, i would be ecsatic if we got 6 or 8 teams.... thats a 180-240k pot which isnt to shabby, even split between 3-7 people

    dont you get tired of having the same old contest over and over? we all know who the strongest individuals are, this contest is designed to force stragetic fighting.. a team of 7 90+ a/d people may or may not be about to take out 3 120+ a/d people. hopefully at least a few more teams will sign up so we can have a contest that consists of more than watching two top players heal themselves over and over until one of them runs out of HE =)


  13. Come one, come all! the time has come for the first ever Eternal Gladiators pk tournement! Teams of three will compete for honour, glory, and CASH! heres how it works:

     

    Each guild entering is to nominate any 3-7 players of their choice for the contest, as long as all players are in the guild. Each entering team must pay 30kgc entry fee. All of the money collected by entering teams goes into a pot. The winning team will recieve 6/8 of the pot, unless more than 5 guild enter, in which case the winning team will recieve 5/8 of the pot, and the runner-up will recieve 1/8 of the pot. The remaining money will be distrubuted evenly between the contest organizers (me and pookies) and any mod that helps in any way (announcing the contest, modding the contest, etc etc) Winning team takes the WHOLE pot.. this change was made due to popular demand.

     

    team size

    each team is made up of 100 'credits'. Every player is given a credit value based on their attack level so the size of your team is determined by the level of your fighters:

    ranks 1-25 for attack are worth 33.3 credits (1/3 of 100)

    ranks 26-100 for attack are worth 20 credits (1/5 of 100)

    ranks 101 and below for attack are worth 14 credits (about 1/7 of 100)

    -you may have any combination of credit values as long as the total comes to 100 or lower

     

    RULES:

    -ONE team is allowd per guild a guild can enter multiple teams.

    -you MUST be in a guild to enter, we dont want the top 3 leaving their guilds and making one super team :devlish:

    -all guild are eligable, as long as they have at least 3 members

    -all standard pk contest rules apply, see the sticky thread

    -BroD can NOT be used in the contest

     

    Once an adequate number of teams has entered and paid the entry fee (at least 3 teams, preferably 5+), a tournement ladder will be made based on the avg attack level of each team.

     

    it will be a standard tournement ladder:

    ex: 4 teams enter, the tournement goes something like this:

     

    round 1, battle 1: team 1 beats team 2, team 2 is disqualified and team 1 advances to round two

    round 1, battle 2: team 4 beats team 3, team 3 is disqualified and team 4 advances to round two

    round 2 (championship): team 1 and team 4 battle for 1st place

     

    -if there are an odd # of teams entered, a 3-way battle MAY apply in the first round.

    -team of the last man standing wins the battle

    -all battles will take place in multi-combat pk areas and will be publicly announced

    we need some mods to help with this (announcing and modding the battles). please post here if you can help :mace:

     

    edit: due to the low entering rate and the possibility of people joining a different guild to get a chance at the contest, we have decided to let guilds enter multiple teams. One person can NOT be in two teams.


  14. :/ idk fagin other than that he is xero's RL bro, xero is the one who asked me to help out and he doesnt seem to be any more aware of fagin's behaviour than i am, is there any way xero can be whitelisted with fagin still banned? he really misses EL :/

     

    EDIT: if it helps, ive known xero since he was 20+ a/d and he has never let his brother play actively on his char


  15. hey, xero is my EL bro and fagin is xero's RL bro, they were IP banned from EL and the forums. Xero says the reason for his EL ban was that his brother was training on his own character while xero's character sat afk harvesting which was apparantly mistaken for multiplaying even though they were not interacting and are owned by two different people. He does not know the reason for his forum ban but he says it is an ISP ban and we suspect that a certain thread on the forums about hiding IPs was posted by someone in xero's town..at least i think thats what he was saying, the kids english could use work :devlish:

    xero and his bro are both underage and live outside the US, they cannot get ISP emails or w/e those are or use paypal. Xero is a dedicated player in the EL community and i think he deserves to have his char back :mace:


  16. I think that the OP's suggestion was more to do with character animations to vary according to the weapon(s) wielded. This would require a new set of animations to be defined, which is a non-trivial bit of work, but the implementation could be kept client side -- the server would still request animation "attack #4" for an actor, but the client knows what weapon that actor is equipped with, so chooses "attack #4 (long sword)".

     

    yes this is what i was suggesting lol..

     

    yeah thats what i'm talking about, what i mean is that adding dual daggers the same way gloves are now would mean daggers would not -need- a new animation, two downward facing daggers would look really cool with the standard boxing animation.

     

    i'm not very experienced with this sort of thing but it seems that it should be -extremely- easy

     

    as for dual wielding a sword and a dagger, that just doesnt seem very practical... it would be like baking a chicken in the toaster even though you have an oven... :)


  17. or instead of adding new dagger stances and changing game mechanics blah blah you could make the game handle dual knives/daggers with no shield or sword as it handles gloves, they are dual by defualt and only take up 1 slot but you cant put a shield or sword on while they are equipped, if they were facing downward it would look really cool with the normal boxing animation, kicking and all, and they would basically just be gloves with alot of hitting power (and a skin that looked like hands holding knives, not wearing gloves .. :) )
