I agree with Djinn, Vanyel, LabRat, Sir_Megatron. This game is for ALL profession, not only for noble warriors, serial murderers and ordinary killers.

I install new client as you recommend and lost all sounds and got error msg on EL start: Error opening sound configuration file...In fact, we recommend deleting all the stuff in your EL folder (the settings and logs are saved in another location), but this is not necessary. -

You misspelled it when you register on forum. Your login and your in forum name are different things...
My in forum name is El Ninho but i log in with ElNinho (no space between words).

Some links:The graphic card download is a dud. I downloaded it, and near the beginning of installation, it said there was an error. I just deleted it.If you have another link that actually works, or you have another solution please let me know.
If not, then I guess Im out of luck, and I'll just find something else to do.. Of course, I would much rather not.

You probably have saved pass and login for new adres (http://new.eternal-lands.com/forum/) but your bookmark pointed to old forum adress (http://www.eternal-lands.com/forum/). Try change bookmark.Hey there,after in-forums nick change my Firefox doesn't want to remember my user information in forums. It requires logging in each time I close my browser. I can live with it, but it is HIGHLY irritating.
Any suggestions how to solve this problem? I will be very glad to have it fixed

Jez, never overwrite NVidia drivers. If you want update drivers you should uninstall old and instal new. This is described on NVidia pages.... and I have overwritten my old drivers.

The counters file CAN be viewed in a normal text editor...The counters file can not be viewed in a normal editor because it is not a text file. -
BTW, i have excellent machine. Athlon 64 x2 4200+, Geil 1 GB RAM DualChanel, Gigabyte NV GF 7600 GT. I can play Gothic 3 in high detail, 1024x768, 32 bitplane (this machine i assemble myself for Gothic 3
). Usualy when i play EL i have 40-60 fps, but if i enter VOTD or MM framerate go down to 10 fps or less. Something weird is on this maps... -
Have you Norton Internet Security installed on your machine? Or similiar program? Mayby your antivir blocked Eternal Lands as "false positive"?ok, you know how the game loads twice? once before you type you username and password, then once after you click log in, well, after it loads up fully the second time, it kicks me out..
