  1. Did you always want to be an all arounder?

When I started all i cared about was the fastest method of making gc's, so i tried my hand at everything and came to the conclusion that lvl'ing a/d for exp to get a big EMU, and harvesting/alching is the fastest way to do so. Aside from that I always wanted to be a fighter, summoner and manufacturer (blacksmith)... but summoning became a bit tedious, and manu became needless after awhile, since I came into a guild with someone who has a very high manu lvl, and could make anything I wanted/needed (*cough* CelticLady *cough* ). Now all i do is train a/d, harv iron for gc, and alch every now and then when i need tele/Manadrain/PK essences. I stopped making my own HE's since harving iron is a faster way to get them.
  2. new spell: Illusion of power

This is the case with most pk'ers i think. Ive built up a mental database of names, and roundabout what their strength is, if i see a new name, i'll attack it, to find out how strong he/she is (Much to my dismay, i did this with PKingDuck lol ... was in a tight spot, but managed to escape ^^ ) Here's a good alternative i think: Instead of making you appear different, why not just make a spell that makes an illusion of your char, so that there appears to be two (or more, depending on magic lvl/luck/cross attribute charm? or w/e) of you, so that your opponent has to pick one of the two (or more), and maybe you get lucky and he picks the fake one. ( I know they have something similar to this in the game Warcraft III... thats where i remember this idea from)
  3. Person Still Missing

You are indeed valiant, Sir Mugwump, jumping on your trusty boar and charging into the unknown after your long-lost guild-leader, but i fear like your councillers stated above, there is no more that a brave dwarven.. err.. knight, such as yourself can do, but wait. Alternatively (and what i would have done) is do #leave_guild , wait 2 in-game days (12hours) and join up with another guild... if your guild leader does come back sometime, and you still want to go back, you can always be kicked from the current guild and go back to the old one. At the moment you are stuck, alone, in a guild that you can't even recruit for... no1 would blame you for leaving.
  4. Manufacture wooden sheilds.

20/30nails? you know that it costs 2 iron bars to make 1 nail, so a wooden shield thats 100gc at NPC will be 1440gc to manu ... lol
  5. Wing is recruiting

\o/ I agree with them! Join Wing!!
  6. PK server

Zure... please get some glasses, kk? You said that pk'ers wont exist without alchers to supply them with essences, i replied that every1 can make anything they want/need without the help of others, hence your post has been proven to be a load of crap. Secondly, like i stated, don't come and mess up this server aswell, its not meant to be a mixer's server its supposed to be a PK SERVER , therefore the reason I told people to keep their silly ideas of keeping them safe, to themselves, and mix in the other server where they are safe. I never claimed to be a better person than anyone else, or 'teh_g0d', as you phrased it... but i do ask you (NOT command, ok?), please stop spamming this thread with your BS.
  7. PK server

So how many of those PKers can make their own armors? Not leather stuff, but steel or titanium plates? Regards Chryzopraz PS. TBH I can't make tit plate yet. But I can make steel one We all start with new chars... no1 will be able to make tit plate, and like i said, its only bought now because its more convenient than to lvl manu... my manu reached 23 because i made my own shields, but that became unneccesary since i could just buy them for cheaper, and not need the nexus... and btw my arguement isnt pointed at you, seeing as you said you don't mind being pk'd... i'm aiming it at the people who want to make fighting an even more profitless skill, in a world where fighting will be the most important skill (making NPC prices higher/less gc from creatures/no drops from creatures) all so that the mixers can feel 'safe' because the pk'ers will 'need' them to make them stuff. since we all start together, with new chars don't feel forced to become a mixer because thats all u are used to... try your hand at becoming a fighter too.
  8. PK server

lol whats with all the mixers and anti-pk'ing people wanting to come to the server too? If u dont like all-over pk'ing, stay in normal server please, don't try changing PK-server to suit your needs, stay in your server and suggest all the BS u want. Well they make a valid point! Maybe the entire game realizes now that we all need each other and we should not bitch about what we want? You see with out alchers there are no pk'ers, with out pk'ers alchers have no point \o/ therefore we need each other to work good together. so I like the idea for server full of only pk but don't forget we can go back and forth for fun time ^^ Rofl You do realise that most of those ebul pk'ers can alch too? and most likely has a much higher alch lvl than the people who make their gc by alching.... also many pk'ers (almost all the really old players) have high potioning lvl's (not that anyone really uses sr's after they start training chims/yeti)... being a "pk'er" doesnt mean you cant do anything else... not all are char buyers who hav no idea what a mortar and pestle is. I myself do not rely on anyone to supply my stuff... i only buy everything because its convenient... Thats the great thing of EL... none of those silly class-based chars... you are what u want/need to be... if you cant find something from other people, or they refuse to give you a decent price, you make it yourself.

You and MP have both said that suppliers will be a prime target. I'm curious, just who is going to provide you with HEs, SRs, Armor, Weapons (even low-level ones), etc. if you keep killing the suppliers? [Clearly I'm assuming that PKers will not want to "waste" PPs on the nexus needed to harvest and make stuff at the expense of P/C/etc. Nor would they want to take away from training time to work on leveling other skills.] I'd think the PKers on the server would be tripping over each other trying to establish a good relationship with the suppliers so that they get first access to consumables and gear to give them the advantage over others who can't get the supplies. My son (who's played some EL but mostly plays WoW) and I were talking about this today. We discussed the idea that all the suppliers could band together and form a guild. Any person PKing a guild member is black-listed and is no longer able to purchase any supplies. Any suppliers not in the guild might even get PKed by the guild (to remove any alternative sources of supplies). A supply monopoly is formed and suddenly the PKers are dependent for their survival on the guild (or forced to buy at NPC prices). It could make for some very interesting economics and political relationships. Of course for those with lots of time to play, the removal of the multiplaying rules might invalidate all of the above (PKers can train and protect their own private supplier). But that will be a huge time investment to level two (or more) chars up to the required levels. Should the server go on-line, I think it'll be worth the $5 to me just to be part of the experiment (on the supply side). It'll be interesting to see if I become everyone's target, or everyone's new "best friend". lol... no rules against multiplaying just use the 2nd char to make he/sr/armours. Although if i can kill you for weapons/armour i suppose i wont need a 2nd char
  11. PK server

I love the idea... pity i voted no for it before reading this thread (thought your char will just be transfered to the PK server) I hope it will reach 100 votes soon... It will be great to start off at the same level at the same time as every1 else. And personally i think it will be good if the population of EL was devided... then i won't have to see people moan about PK-increasing idea's in channels anymore, and be with the people who want to PK.
  12. Small items sale

ill take em all. Ur not in game atm, pm me when u log on.
  13. Small items sale

How much for the 100 poison antidotes? and the 150 vit potions?* edit: *
  14. Skeptic Perk

I also took it, and I'm happy with it. Astro doesn't suit my style of training. If you use it right Astro is better than being skeptic, but I like to keep things simple.
  15. While sitting here at work bored, I thought up a few idea's i suppose are worth suggesting: PK'ing is very expensive, and higher lvl'd players dont want to go into PK maps with weak gear for fear of losing pk points, and the lower levels dont want to go into PK with any gear on because of fear of losing it... so i thought this up: IRL u can find fake shoes/DVD's/etc. of poor quality (or atleast poorer than the original items) in every dodgy place in town, so why arent there such things in EL? I mean why isnt there like a crap quality Cutlass made of iron, that does almost the same amount of damage but breaks like augmented leather armours? Such items shuld be made with cheap iron/steel bars and be cheap to manu, but they should hav high breakage rates and no degrade (just break). If such weapons cost like 1k-1.5k i wuld run around in PK maps with it, especially in TD. Another thing that shuld be looked at is helms... Steel/titanium/dragon/bronze helms are never used in PK... why not just take out the expensive ingreds from the steel/titanium helms to make em cheaper? and let the people who own ones now sell it to an NPC... i wuld use those helms when i PK in n00b gear if they cos 500-800gc. Aug torso/pants are cheap/good armour so no need to improve there, and the steel shield is good enough even for Pr0 pk'ing. Maybe there shuld just be like iron plated boots, also quick to break but with higher armour. All this can probably increase PK a bit since its reasonably good gear at low price ( so no need for a rosto) and they cant be used for training Another Idea i had was: Spiked shield: +6 Defense +5 Damage 10% chance to hit opponent for 25 damage ingreds: 14 feran horns 6 steel bars 2 black dragon scales might be a good PK shield, and wont be used for training. Well, like i said, just a few ideas that came to me while being bored... tell me what u think of them.
  16. a Few Idea's for new items.

I don't agree with that... in fact that is the problem with PK'ing atm, there are too many 'pr0' pk'ing stuff... and your idea's just want to add more... my original idea was to provide cheaper but still competetive pk'ing gear, so people don't always hav to go out with full tit+CoL+rosty... More expensive items will only make it more expensive to PK (and discourage people to PK in inferior gear, without a rosto). If you want the higher lvl helms to be enhanced and become even more expensive, you are free to voice your opinion... but not on this thread please. They can even leave the helms as they are for all i care, im more intrested in the other stuff i suggested getting implemented.
  17. Alternative PKing system

rofl i totally agree with you
  18. a Few Idea's for new items.

Just a small comment here: the reason helms are seldom used is because so many people are wearing a CoL. Even if there were cheaper/different, I doubt many would use them. That is true, but better to have them used by n00bs who cant afford CoL, or as a piece of training equipment, than just being something lying in storage or used to harv with to decrease radon damages. I sometimes go into KF/TD with iron helm, aug torso/pants, leather boots, titanium long and steel shield, in KF because normally people either just run/tele when they see me in full gear (or they are they are the Elite PK'ers who pwn my ass), and in TD because i don't want to get cooldowned by Toomass's JS of cooling and lose my pr0 gear. If anything at all, i want to look 'fashionable' when i die (lol) Well none is using them even for training. When players could buy cols only from the npc at port anitora i was training with an iron helmet. A tit helm offers only +1 additional armor bonus and its way more expensive. A tit helm with extra HP's bonus is better than a col but its more expensive. On the other hand nothing will change because everybody will be able to use it. So maybe it would be nice to have Col's for training and steel, tit, dragon helmets for pk. agis... if u read what he said and how i replied, u would understand whats being said... He said it doesnt matter if prices go down for tit/steel helms, people would still use CoL, I replied that this is true, but that atleast if they were cheaper, they might be used instead of iron helm, so n00bs have more of a choice for headgear than leather/iron helm, so a bit more protection for 500gc extra or so. And the pr0 ppl can use them in TD, etc.

This idea actually sounds rather kool, and if it were up to vote to be implemented i'd vote for it (then there would also be no dispute about advantages) if cities and storages are still safe zones... but like u said, it will never happen.
  21. Alternative PKing system

Erm you got me wrong. Im FOR big advantages, why? to off set the 80% pain in the ass it will be being pkable and make people think being pkable is not such a bad idea. The problem with getting exp/drops bonus is that people who train in crowded area's won't be able to train, since other people can just kill (yes they turn pk'able too, but why not just call in their yeti training friends who are already pk'able) them or chase them away (especially if u train ts'd). It will only benefit the stronger people who train in almost deserted places like Tirnym, or in pk area's like Hulda/Imbro/Aeth Aelfan NW corner... I'm sure you and quite a few yeti trainers could benefit from it, since there are a few Yeti spawns in PK, and all arctic chim/giant spawns are already in PK, and you don't need to harv for your gc (although whenever i see you with a harv cape, its in a semi-pk map, no doubt because the storage on that map is outside, and you don't need to go into a cave and risk hellspawn to get to what you harv), but how will a fluff trainer like Nostalg benefit if they cant get a decent spawn to train, and if he cant harvest to get gc? Not even mentioning lower lvl's than fluff trainers. 1 month IS too long... this idea and having advantages WONT increase PK if its implemented like you suggest it... it will only give another pp'less neg perk... and only the strongest will take it, since only they can survive that long while being pk'able and still be able to play (sorta) like normal. To make people PK is simple: make PK fun, and not too costly... 2 ways to do that: every1 goes to pk naked or in n00b gear, or rosto's cost 500gc... and since the latter wont happen, Conavar's idea about making yourself pk'able for a certain amount of deaths is the closest we can come to #1. Sorry for making such a long post... wont post another comment since i hav no more to say.
  22. Alternative PKing system

What if advantage is something that does not affect training a/d, such as ability to use party hats lol ok how's this for you? : the 1st person to kill sum1 while being pk'able becomes 'king of EL' , and then the next person to kill him dethrones him, and takes his title. Everytimes some1 is dethroned, the new king's name and whereabouts will be given to all pk'able people, also since the 'king' will move, they can type a command to find out his location, track him down, and kill him. As a reward to be 'king' you can get a +5 a/d bonus, and get 100gc every minute and your char can be all glowing and wearing a 'party hat' or w/e. Also the times can be recorded of how long some1 is 'king' and at the end of the week, there can be a message proclaiming *Name* king of EL, or w/e. That should be enough of an incentive. Edit: err i mean the person who was 'King' the longest amount of time during that week is proclaimed 'King of EL'.
  23. Alternative PKing system

I Agree Kheres ... there should be no advantages, if you really want to PK you will make yourself pk'able(or attack sum1 who is pk'able), and the fact that you can pk anywhere/get pk'd anywhere is enough. Toomass and Pkingduck train and gather their gc in Hulda anyways (its a pk map) so nothing will be different, except they get even quicker exp/gc.
  24. Alternative PKing system

and the problem with this is Well the point is that you can make yourself pkable at certain strategical moments and then get rid of it fast again. That will spoil the fun for people who like the original idea. It is like saying you can type #pk and #unpk at w/e moment you want, that will spoil the fun for sure too. you do realise to die 25 times u hav to leave hell 1st, get out of IP and get pk'd again? thats a big difference between typing #pk and #unpk... u get killed 25 times too, which is the idea no? even if u go with 5 health sum1 still gets to kill u, and that person becomes pk'able too... and if sum1 else pk's u they become pk'able too... and then some other people pk the people who pk'd u, and they become pk'able too (all for 25 deaths), so the amount of people becoming pk'able is multiplied rather quickly, so more people to pk... Do u actually think b4 u post? I'll draw u a picture next time.
  25. Alternative PKing system

and the problem with this is....? This is not supposed to be a punishment ( least i think not ), its supposed to increase fun. How can u hav fun if ur outta gc/rosto's and get pk'd when u try to get more gc.
