You know, if everyone just got normal bikes, most of the polution would be gone... Take an example of the Netherlands! We all have a bike! EVERYONE above 5 does!
*Just being proud of my own little country...*

You're really happy with that game, aren't you?
*Smiles*

Well, I could always ask Moony... I just favour you. (No offense Moon...)

OK; most of you prolly wont like it, but I still gotta suggest it.
Today I was surfing on the net, and I bumped into this site about 'making your own language'. I kinda skimmed through the most of it, and I was pretty interested. Now, I was thinking, how about we create a language for EL? Not too complicated, just a few dozen (maybe 100-300) words, which can be used ingame. Some for new items, names for NPC's, others replacing normal words (like Elf wont be Elf but something else )
It'll require loads of work though, and most of the newbs wont know what the hell the older players are talking about, but it would increase the game's feeling alot.
Maybe have a setting in the ini-file, language = #
0 would be normal, English language, NPC names would be normal, they'd talk English, item's would be named in English etc. Also, common words used in the 'new' language are translated into English again (so if someone types the ELword for Elf that would be translated back to Elf by the client)
1 would be EL language, NPC's talk mainly English, only some EL words slip through (enough to get a good feeling, not enough to really confuse the player), items would be named in ELlanguage, NPC's would get ELnames etc. This is ofcourse a bit harder to read, but gives loads more feeling to the game.
There should be a list of words on the site that are used alot (like sword = x, gloves = x etc) so you can look words up that you don't understand.
Ofcourse, the setting in the ini-file would be standard 0, so newbies don't get too confused.
Just a suggestion, I can't promise I can do it, but I'll try. Maybe with some help it'll work out great.
Tell me what you think.

Heh, cool, a car But I'm way to young to drive one... Maybe I wont buy a car, ever... Get myself a motorcycle o.o

Tumaros, you can always just head straight up. You'll probably end up in a really large mass called 'Spinal cord' You'll probably find Aira a bit more to the right. He's poking his vessel in my back, so I know where he is...
Then you might even go see the newest group in body:
Sensation!
Just take a left turn when you're facing my nostrils to see the spectacular light show. Today's show is in 'Tha Left Eyeball'; tomorrows will be in 'Tha Right Eyeball'. Check it out

OMG you ppl make my head ache...
WTH is *checks it up in the post*...
Proliferating?!
That doesn't even come near to any word I ever heard of, in Dutch, Latin, Greek, German or French...
Oh, it's 'woekerend' That explains alot...

Ok, I read it all And I really like it. Just gotta get some info before I'm gonna post anything, else I might ruin the story o.0 That is, if I can join
Magic is allowed, I got that, but are there powerful mages/wizards/warlocks in this world? (Meaning: sending fireballs at eachother, highly magical creatures such as Balrogs? Ofcourse not until the story unfolds, you gotta build that kinda stuff up.)
This quest you're on; what will it be like?
When I'm gonna write myself in; how would you want that to be?
If you read HML you'll prolly know a bit what my char's gonna look like: Elf, magical powers (if we're gonna use that at all), pretty wise although he's young, favours blades and bare hands to fight. But the main question is in how I'm related to you; brother/uncle/nephew/friend/just a stranger you meet/a faint aquaintance/...
I kinda know your writing style, after these posts, and I think mine kinda differs from it; I'll try to adapt a bit, but I wont be good at the nicesounding words... Just so you know
Gee

I've got a nice one:
When you've selected a 3D model to place, you place it, then it gets deselected (so you gotta load it all over again to place the same object twice). That's pretty annoying if you're doing river banks/forests/jungles. Just let the object you loaded stay loaded after you place it.

What's that gotta do with being a n00b? S/he just said she never played D2 (neither did I fyi), and that she doesn't know what kind of game it is. I'm still not pretty sure what kind of catagory D2 falls under... And no way I'm a n00b

Hehe I guess it would be nice to be a mod, but I don't really need it or something like that... If I need something done, I'll call you
-
Yeah, but there wont be a mod helping the newbs all the time. Or they don't feel like it, 'cause they wanna work on their char, they don't know, or they're not logged in. That's where normal players fill in the gaps. I for one actually enjoy helping the new players. And I'm no mod, just a pretty old player.

Check out the General Stores. There's one in Lakeside village, opposite of the Inn. Most maps have one though, just look for m.

The electrical balls splattered against the barrier leaving large burning marks eating away its defence. With great speed and elegance Nardo deflected most of them, sometimes able to send them back to sender with a quick flick of his stick…
A the same time, close to the ground and keeping in the shadows Tartarus and Zabar moved themselves closer to the Dark Prince…
just gonna move on from here, if you people don't mind
After a few minutes of acurate dodging the electrical balls sent at Nardo by the Dark Prince's sword, a surpisingly small and fast ball passed through the outer barrier, creating a small but deep burning mark on the inner barrier. That mark got bigger and bigger with the second, weakening the barrier. Nardo couldn't afford to let the inner barrier fall, so he sat down to restrengthen it. For a split second the Dark Prince seemed surprised by this move. That was the moment Zabar and Tartarus were waiting for. They jumped out of the shadows with a great roar and a small *ribbit*. The Dark Prince tried to dodge the attack of the Arcanian Tigerwolf, but Zabar's magic kept him from leaping far enough.
When Nardo looked up again, only seconds after he sat down, the burning mark on the inner barrier had dissappeared, along with much of Nardo's power. Then his eye fell on the Dark Prince who was no longer sending electricity at him. On the contrary, his sword pointed to the ground, held loosely in one hand, his other hand was pushed against his face. That same face seemed to have turned into a fountain of blue goo. The scratch made by Tartarus' claws bleeded more then just blood, with that green blood all willpower, agility and strength seemed to leak out of the Dark Prince's body. Hah! Nardo thought. Scratched by Tartarus, a bit enhanced by Zabars magic, and you're almost down.
As if the Dark Prince had heard Nardo's thoughts, he shouted:
'No! This can't be! A mere wolf, combined with the magic of a frog...'
And ofcourse, it couldn't be. The Darkest of All roared in agony, sending out a powerful wave of magic. Although the barrier deflected most of the power, Nardo still fell backwards, landing a few meters away.
When he had gotten up, the Dark Prince was holding his sword up again, the blade shimmering in the darkness. The blueish goo on his face was still there, only the wound didn't bleed anymore. Weakened by the attack, the Prince shaked a bit, but he still had enough power to send more electric balls at Nardo.

If all the people in China stood on kitchen chairs, then jumped and all landed on the ground at exactly the same time, would the Earth move?I know that one! *jumps up and down*
It'll move a bit, back and forth!
hehe...
I'll tell you why.
First, the Chinese ppl jump up, thus pulling on the Earth a bit harder(getting the Earth to move in the direction the Chinese are jumping to).
Then, all those Chinese ppl would fall down again, hitting the ground, pushing the Earth down again, excactly into it's former orbit again.
Had that in Physics class about three weeks ago...

Actually, I found Izzy's post deep I was reading it while you posted, so I missed your post by two seconds.. Although I must say your pot was pretty deep too...
Ah man, I hate deep posts, they make me think about even deeper stuff! >.<

I really loved that quest. It took me ages to find Faris, but it was certainly worth the effort. And Cindy, you gotta STFU; the game is still in Beta, I wonder if you know what Beta means at all? Lemme explain:
Game in Beta Version:
A game in development, the main features are pretty much worked out and implemented, but there still are some (if not loads) bugs to be fixed, features to be implemented, maps to be made and suggestions to be made.
Does this ring a bell? It might be a bug, although I didn't hear anyone else complain about the quest before. Try to be a little nicer >.<

Hehe, this is going to be nice discussion
Lemme tell you what happens when a chinese jumps.
1. Chinese stands still, the Earth pulls on him, but he also pulls on the Earth (else there would be an overall force of +800 Newton directed to the core of the Earth, moving the Earth around).
2. Chinese jumps up, he pulls on the Earth, while the earth pulls less hard on him (resulting in a positive force of a few Newton directed away from Earth)
3. While Chinese is in the air, he pulls a bit on the Earth, getting it to move towards him (the force of one Chinese is really weak compared to the size of the Earth though, so the Earth wont really move)
4. The Chinese falls down, still pulling on Earth, although with less force.
5. Chinese lands, as he feels a shock in his knees, there is a force that pulls him to the Earth, logic dictates this force equals the force which the Chinese preformed on Earth in step 3 (only in the oposite direction), thus giving the Earth a little bump back into its former orbit.
6. Chinese stands still once more, we're back at step 1
The only thing that really differs with a few billion Chinese ppl, is the force preformed on the Earth, thus also the movement the Earth makes. The more Chinese ppl jump, the bigger the movement out of Earth's orbit will be.
