Algavo Report post Posted October 13, 2009 (edited) Hi, i started to make a "def pure" character (a/d 33/59 now) It is quite easy to get something like that (quickly).. Just two rules: #1 Get as low dexterity as possible #2 There are no other rules..try to balance it yourself At the beginning i took 8 coord and 8 instinct and the rest in Physiques. Now i have 12 coord and 16 instinct. Here just which creatures to do when: Def 16: Wolves Def 23: Goblins Def 33: Gargoyles Def 41: Female Orcs Def 51: Male Orcs/Trolls Def 57: Male Ogres ... One disadvantage was that i had to stay longer on a creature than normal, probably 2 def lvls...because bad attack lvl means less overall experience, less pickpoints, worse stats.. So far the "guide" for training..but even more interesting is to spend pickpoints. There are many things where you can spend them: 1) Get higher physiques / higher vitality 2) Get higher coordination / higher instinct 3) Get higher will 4) Get the Evanescence perk So, but how to balance all those?! I use the indicator "costs for training". For this i calculate a simple percentage how much less i have to spend. 1) Get higher physiques / higher vitality 4 pickpoints will give you ~1.4 armor. The percentage is increasing proceeding. Eg you get basically 10 damage -> 8.6 -> 7.2 -> 5.8 -> ... That would mean something like: get as much of that as you can! There is just one limit: many ppl say that phys/vit 48/24 is enough, because after that you will get only "blocks" instead of low damage. But blocks give amazing ZERO EXP! So better spend some more in 2) 2) Get higher coordination / higher instinct This is a bit hard to determinate. I would suggest to balance it when you fight. Be sure, you have normal astros (or even skeptic). When you fight a monster, there it can happens that: -> You never hit him + he hits you quite often : Increase your coordination slightly (eg by 2) -> You dodge very seldomly: Increase your instinct (by 2 or by 4) 3) Get higher will This part is quite interesting because many fighters are neglecting "will". (A note: because i said that we want to get as low dexterity as possible, we stay at 4 reasoning ) ... Good, we assume that we have 45 magic. That would mean ~(100+will*2.5) hp restored Increasing will from 4 to 8: Healing 120 instead of 110 -> 9% less costs!!!! Increasing will from 8 to 12: Healing 130 instead of 120 -> 8,3% less costs!!!! Increasing will from 12 to 16: Healing 140 instead of 130 -> 7,7% less costs! Increasing will from 16 to 20: Healing 150 instead of 140 -> 7,1% less costs.. .. to be continued by your calculator On lower magic levels the percentage is even higher, for example magic 21, will from 4 to 8: Healing 72 instead of 62: 16% less costs!! \o/ One little other effect at will 8,20,32 and 44: your rationality is dividable by 3 --> 1 exp more in fighting skills. On lower monsters the exp gain is quite high (like 1-2%) but on higher levels it can be neglected 4) Get the Evanescence perk In 3) we have seen that the cost loss gets less. There is another possibility of lowering the costs: The Evanescence Perk :-) You get 10% less costs after taking it.. and that for only 5 pickpoints! Before you raise will from 12 to 16, you should really consider about taking it! You will get more frequently defence experience!!!! :-) Ok, this are my 4 pickpoint investments. When you have some other nice possibilites, feel free to write. And when you want to complain: "low att is n00bish", then do it Here a short list of advantages of getting higher def than att: getting more def experience per hour! Imo the def lvl is significant for someoneto be able to move on to the next creature getting even more def experience!!! Ever multi'ied some creatures? It is awesome exp!But when you kill them too quickly, it is hard to get them close enough again :/(when you like multi'ing you should consider about taking There is no Fork!) high EMU and high HP even on low lvls. So you are even able to wear no CoLuntil your magic lvl is 55 (then you would restore too much, so better wear CoL^^) lower costs! Or do you have def 59 with just magic 24?, if yes pm me!! Training with sword 0wns! When you never hit normally, you will hit seldom with sword. So buy an Eagle Wing and you are 6 lvls in front of anyone else with same def lvl Steel long works of course as well. At least +2 def As i dont want to justify myself that this is TEH GUIDE for fighting..here the disadvantages: really bad for pk or pvp! lower profit as you dont kill your monsters that quickly, but remember, the bettera creature is for training, the worse drops you receive! you might have to invest some additional time to get some money for HEs/SRsalthough with fighting for example trolls you get even good money (i went to trollsfor def lvls 53-55) That's it :-) Feel free to complain. Algavo Report post Posted October 13, 2009 coord is bad focus on just phys/instinct/vit, eva/tinf That is what i said. But when you NEVER hit your opponent, a bit coordination has the same effects as instincts, just with one positive aspect: -you can carry more As long as you increase your coordination ONLY when you really NEVER hit :-) Otherwise you kill too quickly
