MrNiceGuy was asked today to leave RICH. We had been informed of a previous character called dave24ohio owned by this player which had appearred a number of times in the Outlaws forum. Investigation in the Outlaw's forum does not seem to show ANY entries regarding the new character MrNiceGuy. As such we have extended to MrNiceGuy an invitation to re-apply (if he wants to) to RICH in two months time if he remains out of Outlaws. Why this post? So that MrNiceGuy leaving RICH will not be interpreted as resulting in any wrongdoing by him. To our knowledge he has not done anything in his brief time with us and it is only concerns for RICH's reputation that caused this action (insert audience laughter here). He seems to be on the straight and narrow now and we wanted to make sure that this parting of the ways would not be seen as evidence against him. Regards, Gadai.

Just a quick post because this seemed to be the most appropriate forum for it - like to thank whoever did up the TG map - by far my favourite map . Good resources and plenty of interesting features to investigate and walk through

'TheDoctor' you're a bigot . Once you know EVERYONE in RICH then feel free to slate us all - until then your're exhibiting bigotry - an unreasoning dislike or predjudice against a group either racial, political, religious or, in this case, a guild.

A search in Suggestions doesn't show anything regarding this (searched using the term teleport - never realised just how much that word is used on this particular forum ). The idea would be to have a new spell called Teleport to Player at around 45 magic skill. This would be similar to the current Mod bamf* function, allowing a player to teleport to another player, regardless of location, providing that the target has the 'Allow Teleport?' box on their settings box ticked. The fact that it would be a player set function would hopefully prevent it being abused for harassment, cheating in 'hide and seek' contests, etc. Now - please explain to me what obvious abusive of this I've missed! *Bamf - a MUD term used to describe Mods/Imms/Gods ability to teleport themselves to any player. From the Nightcrawler comic character and the sound he makes arriving/leaving via teleport.

I've seen in action too Brom and seen it balanced using cost, in terms of mana. I would suggest that in addition to the essences that the mana cost would be 60-70. This would make either idea an expensive proposition to be abusing

Well, I would assume that most people would untick the option on their settings box before entering a PK map On the second point regarding harvesting - just how willing do you think people with a magic skill that high will be to be used as mules? Think that occassionally it might be used like that but not on a regular basis

I'd guess that I'm not going to be the only one to tell you this Comet but both of these ideas have been raised before The running one seems to have been dismissed immediately and the stealth (sneaking) idea has never been dismissed outright, so I assumed it is one of the many suggestions which are 'under consideration'.

Heya all A couple of the posts in another thread here mentioned CTS (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome), and a concern of my own is RSI (Repedative Strain Injury). This both occur due to a particular action being repeated alot over a long period - such as mixing many essences, etc. While I'm told that features will be implemented to ease this (potential) problem I thought I'd pass on some tips to assist 1. Always store your food in quick slot 1 while mixing - that way you can use CRTL + 1 to eat - no more shift and click! 2. Mouse wheel buttons - gods bless them. Hover your mouse tip over the Mix button and just scroll up, scroll down. Each scroll acts like a click but without the stress factor on your fingers/tendons 3. Edit the numbers on your inventory so you pick up exactly as much as you can for each load of mixing - less clicking = less strain. Those are the ways I know of lessening the pain of mixing. If anyone else has tips please feel free to add them! P.S. Thanks to Salun and Thyralax for those tips

@Atahn I realise that the MrNiceGuy name is mentioned in outlaws (stating that dave24ohio had changed his name to MrNiceGuy), but from what I could find there have been no incidents linked with dave/MrNice since that name change occurred. That was my meaning Here's hoping that he can remain on the side of community and become a friend/ally in the future

Wait a minute - maybe I'm just easily confused here but my impression was that the TC Client available before the update was legal? I remember seeing numerous posts here regarding 'old' versions of it being used to spy out bags and jump them, but that the newest version was legal at the time? Can I get some clarification on this please? I haven't used it since the update so I'm just wondering about preupdate. I'm just fearing that if the last version preupdate was illegal at the time that I have to fill out one of those form thingies

I suggest you check the bots page and see who the actual owner is - it's not the RICH guild. <edit> Burger - thats changed since the last time I checked - used just say MrMind, as Ttlanhil points out below, point withdrawn </edit> If we're going for pointed responses (1) so it's not that bots are progressively pushing prices lower - it's how quickly the prices goes down? (2) do you honestly expect anyone to post against this the strike - excepting of course MrMind (who is doing it for his own mysterious reasons) and I (who am too foolish to keep my trap shut). The majority of bot owners, even if they were against your proposals, wouldn't post to say so for fear of drawing ill will uppon themselves - why do it?

Shall I compile a list of all of the crafters/bots which undercut your preferred price Ttlanhil - just so you don't feel that you're targeting the most obvious offender and leaving the others slip through the gaps? The prices slipped down long before Richery ever came to the market, but that bot seems to provide everyone with a convenient scapegoat for craft/manu prices. Thank goodness the bot never sold essences or we'd be blamed for that too! The higher the levels of crafters/manufacturers and the more people that start practicing those skills (some of whom only started because of the prices of jewelery and manu items), the more of these goods enter the market and the lower the price. If you want to raise the price either artificially reduce the number of items reaching market by an agreed qouta system amongst all crafters or, as Entropy is about to implement, a manu/crafter exp system where far fewer items yield the same amount of experience. None of this is, I feel, agressive or abusive. None of it generates unfair ill will against the person I'm responding to. Most of all none of it can accidentally act to create a target for peoples ill feelings regarding a game problem (one which was not caused by any single guild or bot). I suggest you take the same degree of politness and even handedness. That said - I have now reset to remove my crafting/manu nexus. If you have a problem with MrMind, have a problem with him, please don't start making 'scatter gun' statements about the entirety of guild kay? Thank you. Gadai - the former crafter/manufacturer.

Like Nikor's tool cooldown idea - if the tool was not removable (that it remained the default tool during it's cooldown period) this would prevent people tool switching or switching to a different product as well. As a minor point in response to LadyWolf (and I'm sure others) - Richery was set to buy at a certain price point, well below market rate. In all less then 100 diss rings and 500 location rings were sold to Richery by RICH guild members, yet in his brief time trading (less then three weeks) he had a turnover of more then 3.5k rings. Before blaming RICH guild or even MrMind I suggest having a pop at whatever mass crafters sold to him. Considering 2000 of those rings were Diss rings I would suspect that at least one of the sellers is in the top 50 crafters. Walmart can't operate without it's suppliers - neither could Richery. In the end the top level players in Craft and Manu control the market by the simple fact that they create the most 'high value' items. If they artificially reduce the supply of goods to the market from them the prices inevitably rise (or so my basic grasp of economics would suggest). Meh - in the end Richery is offline, the market hasn't risen (as your price cutting bots theory would suggest) and a solution is coming, be it in the form of food or, preferably, tool cooldown periods. The future is coming
