  1. Trinitybot on PK server

    I will try to explain this one last time. There is no need to spend 5 hours walking around to discover NPC prices. The people in the Cel guild have already done this for the community and then posted all of the information on their website. If you still choose to walk around to each NPC that is great. I just want you to understand just how difficult you are making a very simple task. Doc

    There is supposedly someone "actively managing" trinitybot on the other server and his prices are wrong almost all of the time...if he even has a price for it. Doc **edit: and yes, cel website is much easier than walking back and forth to wsc to check prices like you were doing.

    Great idea, pip. The prices need to be high enough on the pk server where it is not a complete gimme anyway. I highly doubt that people on the other server would pay to buy the tools. Even if they do choose to buy them, the amount of money that would be taken out of the game would probably more than make up for the stones that weren't used. Doc

    Problem is that, if we had several hundred people on this server, we wouldn't need this npc to sell tools that require rare items. We are running into a wall over here where there are so few rare stones being found because there are so few people. When a rare stone is found, if it is not a rostogol (I think yaser found his 5th today) no one is crazy enough to use it on a tool that could possibly break in 10 uses. Invasionmeters are a great example. Lots of people have made EMEs because of magic training. I still can't sell an invasionmeter for the life of me with the loads of EMEs on this server because no one wants to risk a 1/10 break...very similar to tools. With a few hundred people on this server we would no longer have any use for an npc because there would be a lot more rare stones found. I am not a programming but I can understand how difficult it would to keep several versions of a single game under control. I just saw that yous guys had the ability to pull the NPCs from here that sold the great armor so I assumed that you could do a tool npc as well.     I am not arguing for the set price of a tool right now, just the tool itself. Entropy will figure out a fair price for each tool individually AFTER we discuss and decide on the possibility of the npc in general. I and the other players who agree with me are simply asking for a discussion on the possibility of a new npc and what it could carry, not how much it will cost. Doc

    How are we ever going to establish a market on this server if no one can afford the tools to create the product? There is no way I would ever risk 1 wolf bar, 1 EFE and 1 EWE for an arrow/bolt mold that could only lasts 20 uses. I would much rather pay 7k gc for that mold and take the chance of it breaking rather than being forced to use not just 1 rare item but 3. These tools were created as an item sink for the main server. We don't have that problem on the pk server. An npc that sells the tools will do two things. 1. create a market that is not there on the pk server as of now. -there are many rangers and other skills that would love to buy from another player if they had the tools to make the items that they need. 2. create a money sink rather than an item sink -I don't particularly think we need a sink at all on either server but I am in total agreement that there is no use for an item sink on the pk server. There just aren't enough people playing to produce the amount of rare items. I don't agree with enriched essence being sold on this server either and this is not what this npc is going to do. Rather, it is going to allow for the skills that Entropy has worked so hard at creating to be completed. Doc

    I run 10.5.3 off of my macbook. With (I think) and Intel GMA 950 graphics card. I would post the contents of my library files but I have looked everywhere and I don't have one. I have looked in my library files and there is no Eternal Lands folder at all. GL_ARB_multitexture extension found, using it. GL_ARB_texture_env_combine extension found, using it. Couldn't find the GL_EXT_compiled_vertex_array extension, not using it... Couldn't find the GL_ARB_point_sprite extension, not using it... GL_ARB_texture_compression extension found, using it. GL_EXT_texture_compression_s3tc extension found, using it. GL_SGIS_generate_mipmap extension found, using it. GL_ARB_shadow extension found, using it. GL_ARB_vertex_buffer_object extension found, using it. GL_EXT_framebuffer_object extension found, using it. GL_EXT_draw_range_elements extension found, using it. GL_ARB_texture_non_power_of_two extension found, using it. GL_ARB_fragment_program extension found, using it. GL_ARB_vertex_program extension found, using it. GL_ARB_fragment_shader extension found, using it. GL_ARB_vertex_shader extension found, using it. GL_ARB_shader_objects extension found, using it. GL_ARB_shading_language_100 extension found, using it. GL_ARB_texture_mirrored_repeat extension found, NOT using it... GL_ARB_texture_rectangle extension found, NOT using it... Thanks Doc **update: I ran spotlight and searched for error_log.txt. all that it came up with is a few webpages from el that had that phrase in it. If I create an Eternal Lands folder in my library file with an error_log.txt would that fix that issue or is it something that wasn't DLed correctly?

    Not sure what I might be doing wrong, but by looking at some of the pics that other people have posted, I do not have a sky. I have turned everything on and updated the client with Fed's updater. All I see are the reflections of the clouds in the water then from the horizon up there is a light blue "wall" and then above that a stark white "wall". I see no clouds at all except in the water.     I also just thought about the alembic being sold at this npc. Thankfully we have mercury in kf so it is not the most important tool but it still could be considered. I am sure there are several people on this server who would eat the money for the alch exp that mercury gives.......so many tools unused, would be wonderful to have this npc. Doc

    As we all have discovered, enriched essence and stones have been very hard to come by. Many different items use these items, primarily I believe, as an item sink on the main server. Molds and other items have no use on this server because it is too expensive to risk enriched essence and stones on items that aren't guaranteed to last for more than a couple hundred uses. Since it would be too difficult to change the formulas on this server, I would like to suggest an npc that sells some of these molds and items that contain many of the enriched essence and stone. My main qualm is with the arrow/bolt head mold. To create one, which is necessary to make any arrow with the engineering skill, it takes 1 wolf bar, 1 efe and 1 ewe. It is ridiculous to risk that many precious items on an object that could break after a dozen uses. Since gc is easier to make on this server, I would much rather buy a mold at some cost rather than spend these rare items to make the mold that need to be used on other things. This is just one of the many tools and items that are an unbelievably high cost for this server. If people can post other items they would like for this npc and/or whether they even like this idea I would appreciate it. Doc

    I am with Sy on this one. For the first time in a long time, I logged on to the main server to get an approximate pc for an item I am going to try and sell here. I logged on to the market channel and was revolted at the amount of useless spam constantly posted on the m channel by bots. We agreed initially no bots and I feel we should keep to our word here. Different time zones aren't a big deal here. Post what you are selling on eternal_broker and arrange for a friend to pick up the items for you. The great thing about the pk community is that, most of us, love teamwork and help out our fellow brother. Just give it a shot before we all decide that we need a bot per character. Doc
  14. Enriched essences and binding stoens from shop

    I was just wondering if the percentage chance of enriched essence is the same on the pk server as it is on the normal server? If this were so I would be interested in hearing if everyone would want the percentages slightly easier to make an enriched essence here or not. I agree in not having enriched essence sold through the shop, I like them rare, but are the current percentages too rare? Just a thought Doc
  15. Summon Stone POLL!

    Magic is a unique skill in that it mandates you be a certain level before you can cast a spell. I propose that this be the same as in summoning since, just as magic, summoning is a very important and useful skill in pking. I would be interested to see a new poll with the option of summoners being required to have certain summoning levels before the use of a stone could be possible. With this vote I would also anticipate that stones be brought back to a 1 stone 1 summon rather than 1 and 4. I think this third option would solve a lot of the issues at the present time -it would lessen the chances of stones being used at this early in the game while people can't defend themselves properly. -it would allow for the much needed summoning experience later on in the game if stones were still in the game. -allow for more strategy in pk rather than just lucky chance with the summon stones being brought back to a 1 and 1 chance of summoning. I would have voted for this option if it were on the poll. Let me know what everyone else thinks. Doc
