Nope, kein ISP Wechsel. Jedenfalls recht seltsam, ich werds wohl morgen noch einmal versuchen. Frohes Osterreier suchen allerseits und gute Nacht, Piper

I assume you are using Windows XP, right? 1. Click the "START" Button 2. Click on "Run..." 3. type "dixdiag" in (without the "") 4. hit the ENTER key 5. Find out about your computer, especially in the graphics/display section (manufacturer, type of chip) 6. Tell us and request more specific information

Gerade versucht, allerdings will mich EL wohl nicht. Zwar kann ich game.eternal-lands.com ohne Probleme pingen, aber der Client verharrt in der Meldung "Connection to server..."

nah ihr newbies, was läuft denn so?

A seperate website and new name would only weaken the game as a whole. Having an option to choose between the two servers, whether it's seperate icons or a menu before the login screen, would help more. Plus some marketing on the website and on other sites.

My condolences and all the best to Desda's family, especially to her daughter! This comes as a shock and it reminds us that we have to make the best out of the time we have. I'm glad I could get to know des as a player on a few occasions and I'm sure her memory will be kept on in the game and outside of it by many people.

As far as I understood you have to create the shortcut icon for the pk server yourself. How about distributing it with the client? Some players might see it and think "oh wait, there's a special pk server too!".

same here... pretty impressive geritt!

lol Tokio Hotel...

Instead of "Blue Spam" advertisments, maybe Tavern NPCs could advertise things like that in local chat.

This bug is probably alread known. Just compare the two screenshots, that show exactly the same scene without any modifications and were taken at the same time: http://img75.imageshack.us/my.php?image=lo...ugnormal0ka.jpg http://img455.imageshack.us/img455/6619/lolelbug1dj.jpg The character who took the second screenshot saw the same model exactly the other way round. I know of at least one other occurance of this bug, back when we tried to do a screenshot of our old guild.

Despite the fact, that there are many players who will always say this and that sucks and this and that game is better than EL, starting to play eternal lands IS hard. Although it has become better with the improved tutorial bot (healing capabilites) and many new features. While I did read the info on the website back when I started and despite the fact that I was an experienced pc gamer, I had lots of trouble during my first few days in EL. Now the game was a lot more buggy and less userfriendly than today, but even the way it is now, I doubt I would make my first few steps on my own without help. The newbie helpers and friendly players were the ones who helped me. I don't know if this type of moderator or staff member still exists, but newbie helpers are way more effective than any NPC. If you get treated well by another human, you are much more likely to stay in an online world, than with people shouting 'n00b' at you.

Why would you (or your friend) do that? I wouldn't do it and I understand that you will not implement negative points. What I was aiming at, was if the point system would become more sophisticated at one point (e.g. certain perks involved, or other forms of goodies/bonuses for high levels/etc.), then there would be a very easy way to cheat.
-
Whats the skill in killing weaker players? Just pull out a sword and kill them. Killing stronger players is skillfull and stragegy IMO. Piper And what if some n00b low lvl fighter goes up to the high lvler and attacks them just to give negative points to the high leveler? (unless initiating the attack is figured into the point system). That would be unfair. And what if my friend creates a new char and I kill it over an over. Which is not a problem even for a weak player. Is that a sign of skill? Even if there will be a rule, that prevents abuse like that, a system that works on its own is far better. And punishing abuses through game mechanisms rather than control by the admins, seems far more reliable and far less distressful
-
I agree. This is also a good way to prevent cheating e.g. by creating a n00b char and slaying it over and over.

If you are reffering to my posting: No I'm not. I was talking about Microsoft Office 2.0.
-
Well, with the features of Office 2.0 ...

You can already do this right now. Many people use custom texture files.
