  1. I suggest the actual character sign for the color impaired; otherwise, I would suggest blue and pink names. r0wan
  2. I was under the impression that third party installable BMP maps, such as Bloodsuckers, could be copied to (Ubuntu)$ ~/.elc/main/maps and they would work. The major maps do work; however, internal maps such as the inside of caves or even houses do not work. If I copy them instead to /usr/share/games/EternalLands/maps/, then all of the maps work including the internal ones. It seems as if a user is only able to replace EL system maps if they already exist. Additional maps which do not already exist in the system directory will not be displayed? The above is for Ubuntu 10.04; however, I also have an XP laptop. In XP, installing third party maps into My Documents\Eternal Lands\main\maps behaves in much the same way. I would like to suggest checking user directories first for existing maps to override default maps in the system directory for all operating environments. Thank you for your consideration, r0wan
  3. Thank you both. Let me modify my suggestion to have the client list out the map files it is using when it starts/loads including the absolute directory paths. That would make debugging a whole lot easier. Stuff it into srv_log.txt. While the client is being modified, it would be nice if the list of custom clothes servers were also logged. r0wan
  4. Unfortunately, just asking came out as an insult as I was supposed to be able to tell from the name what gender they were. Thus, this request.
  5. Add an option to show map marks and labels on maps you are not physically in. Maybe make it an option if some people feel it clutters. There should also be a way to view maps of the other continent you are not currently on. After all, we were all issued maps when we created our characters in this game. It's not like Final Fantasy where we have to buy/find regional maps. r0wan
  6. The part 1 and part 2 music zip files have all files in the root of the zip so if you unzip to current directory (desktop in my case), it puts all the files there. I suggest putting them inside a music directory so both music zips will extract into the same music folder which can then be easily moved to the EL program directory. Thank you for your consideration, r0wan
  7. For people who play EL on multiple computers such as a desktop while at home and a laptop when travelling, having #markpos and Notepad entries saved locally on the client side can be frustrating. I would like to suggest that character based settings be moved to the server while client specific options such as video resolution remain with the client. There is an advantage to the current method however. I can grep the local client files to find information in chat logs, #markpos, or notepad entries. Maybe a synchronization mechanism between clients? Thank you for your consideration, r0wan
  8. MooseMan4 banned?

I have been asked to relay this message for MooseMan4. He is politely asking why he was banned. Thank you, r0wan
