What i don't understand is why anyone would want Dubro in their guild in the first place. He's not an outstanding player, he's not witty. He's just an outlaw with fairly high levels that everyone has brown-tagged. But yet people accept him into their guilds and then get upset that people red or brown tag the guild as a result.. Really? Come on, what do you expect? Orick you have never done anything to me but you are loudly announcing you will keep and defend Dubro so.. guild nasty-tagged until he's gone. you seem a lot cooler than Rick here. I never had a problem with Rick until i started reading his posts on forums.. @Rick: why come to forums and rant in these posts? (which look like they were written by an uneducated 10 year old btw) Saying hateful and spiteful things to everyone? You're just making yourself look like trash! I think some of the stuff you are writing warrants a forum ban tbh.

I vote yes on bindings for sale. i'm yet to see one on pk server

well that's why capped invasions are nice, Saxum. there won't be a dragon on a map capped below 100 a/d, that's basically a guarantee. if you can't get a straight answer on ch6 as to what is on a map, just go in naked with some invis potions and antidotes, and a way to beam/tele/ring out quickly. As for the bagmixes, we usually have ample warning before an invasion starts for these kind of reasons amongst others. Back when i started playing EL i used to get mad at invasions too, but once i started getting into fighting in them i quickly learned to love them, even if i died. They don't have much negative impact, there are almost always safe maps.. the worst thing that could happen to a non-fighter is they have to reschedule a bagmix. not that bad in the long run. Invasions eat rostos and eaten rostos are bricks in teh Gods castle, the bigger the castle the happier teh God, and the Lands then stay Eternal If you are in a new tier of a/d caps, just train up!

It really isn't that hard to avoid getting bagjumped if you are just mixing on your own. Just be aware of the guild tags of those around you; if one is unfamiliar take a second to read the #guild_info. Stop harving and mix what you have while they are hovering around you. Most of the time bjers get sick of waiting when you don't hit a tele nexus for 10 minutes and slink off to look for other prey. It's a lot more difficult when you are working a big group bag project but- be aware of guild tags, have someone keep some True Sight potions handy. Have a system planned for moving valuables out mid-project in case of emergency. The evil pirate guild who may or may not be noobs are here, tell your friends and take proper precautions! And of course don't forget to brown tag

I don't like bagjumping/serping etc., but this idea makes sense. People could easily make a mask to hide their identity, and probably would if they are smart. It must be balanced though, and being PKable in any map while wearing it is a great balance imo. This would add another fun element to the game, as well as give victims another option for retaliation aside from bot bans. I think the item should be worn on head or as a cloak, made by tailors, and have a moderate-high breakrate. Given the added risks and costs to wearing it, i don't think it would add too terribly much to the ranks of the EL outlaws. The Eternal Lands world is not centrally governed (by any but the GOD and his mods of course) and it is more or less midieval times-so why should there not be outlaws? There are already some here, and if more surface with this item, hey at least if they rob you you can kill them-or try

wow, what an idiot. Once tehfreshhkid realizes he just ruined his name for 15k gc (basically nothing) he will probably realize this about himself as well. EDIT: A guild willing to help you out like that is much more valuable than that piddly amount of gc.. I don't know what guild he's in now, but he's got a personal garbage tag from me

An option to pay 10-20k gc to Haidir to cancel your current daily with a penalty of not being able to start another for 1-2 RL days? I don't see how it would hurt the game much. If you had to lie to Haidir, and give him his "cut" of the gc the NPC client had supposedly given you (assuming the NPC client usually pays Haidir as well) to pay for the job: chance of success could be done like Tankel/HeavyBeard repair chance. Success= wait the normal 1 RL day to take another. Failure= either wait longer OR keep the quest until completed. Or for another RL day before trying to lie again. Either way you lose the gc. A way out of daily quests seems like a good idea, if you take into consideration lower level players, extremely high level players, and players who don't have the opportunity to log in that often but enjoy dailys. Perhaps the dailys with the best rewards would need to be made a bit more rare, and a few more mid-level quests would need to be added? Would people be willing to make such a bargain for a way out?

Well technically Dubro just failed his 2nd or 3rd chance.. this is a silly argument. Dubro=the bad. Guild who KNOWINGLY accepts outlaws=bad guild. Dubro said he would change before, then behaved for 2 weeks and gradually went back to his old ways. He started with serping and has worked his way back to scamming etc now. Biiig surprise. I'm sure he loves all this attention.

On one hand it would be fun to see characters continue dancing a moment before falling over dead, and also what happens shortly afterward before you spawn in the underworld. On the other hand if you die during an invasion or a big group battle in pk, chances are you want to get back into the action ASAP. In this case those few seconds would be very painful and disruptive

I'm very sad, my cpu has been broken so i've hardly been able to log on. Whenever i had the opportunity to donate and get some tickets Ryddler you were not in-game, and i was not totally clear how to properly donate on the site Now i've missed my chance. A lot better than his "first look" but i would say 20+ main maps (considering Irilion is no secret now, a variety of quests send you there and they contain many useful resources/spawns). And why does he hate the look of the world map so much? It looks like an explorers hand-drawn map to me, i like it and it fits the game imo. Oh well. Good rating from player votes ^^

Just wanted to add, this is an awesome idea! And it sounds pretty cheap to me, considering how many ppl sit in @6 that could pool resources to do it. You could get it together there, then try another channel or go to populated storage like votd to get any missing ingreds. Easy. And yes, the hoarders will hopefully let go of some of their stashes as well. EDIT: obviously it's expensive enough that someone won't do it every day, but affordable enough for occasional use. Most of the ingreds could be bought from shop too, so 5 bored people can spend $5 each on a boring night at home and ABRACADABRA!

I haven't created a new character in quite some time, and this did not happen when i did, but since in an earlier post radu said "..we have a popup message telling the player to do the tutorial.." something similar may be implemented now. If so, sorry. How about after character creation, as soon as you appear on Isla Prima a large window pops up and stays open for 30 seconds or so. It could say: - Welcome to Isla Prima! If you are a new player it would be wise to stick around here a while before moving to the mainland. -The tutorial NPC has valuable information and quests for you. -The Wraith will help you spend your attribute pickpoints as you gain them! -Some other NPC's have quests as well, so explore and find a few! -Player names are White, NPC names are Blue, Tradebot names are Purple -Tips and Help will appear regularly at the top of your screen until you advance to a certain level! -You are automatically joined into Channel 1, the Newbie help Channel. To ask a question type @<question here> and wait for a response. -You can also check the encyclopedia/skill guide/rules/commands by pressing Alt+E -Once again Welcome, and Good Luck! We hope you enjoy your stay in Eternal Lands Hopefully they'll read this and do one of these things.

I didn't read every response in here, but i did watch the video. Honestly, if you are looking for a good game, you will most likely be looking for one with a tutorial you need to read. If not, something like Snake or a book of mazes may be better suited for you, because you are looking for something very simple with instant gratification. It appeared this guy just likes a lot of bells and whistles. Also, he just ran around IP, not bothering to read the newbie tip messges at the top of the screen, or any npc's at all. He was saying he couldn't find any quests as he stood by Novac. He didn't even pay enough attention to distinguish bot/npc/player character name colors.. He looked at the options in the tutorial and none said "QUEST!!!1" so he assumed there weren't any. He didn't click the ? icon. Realistically if a newbie is starting EL, chances are they will at least attempt one of these methods, or simply start asking questions, in local or channel. IMO this was not an accurate portrayal of the common steps a newbie takes upon entering game. Sure they run around and see what they can kill, but they take at least one of these other steps as well. And if he had asked any questions or payed attention to the local chat, he would have noticed Radu himself sitting next to Tutorial, talking to newbie (Murderface iirc) about the TUTORIAL QUESTS. Hopefully his full review is a bit more intelligent. And i've seen other free mmorpg with more players and much worse interface btw. This guy seems like a goon

I was there too, and am curious about this: Terrance wasn't trying to harvest, and they didn't block anyone from the iron. they only surrounded terrance so he couldn't move. Is that illegal? I didn't see anything in the rules about trapping someone

I did a search, only found topic on killing the unicorn. I didn't read the entire threads though.. It would be fun if the unicorn would, every set amount of time, say something in local. Lines of philosophy, wisdom, even game advice/tips in the character of a.. a wise elder/sage/etc. Every once in a while throw in something funny like; "only you can prevent forest fires". That's all, and i'm fine with not killing it

I did a quick search and didn't see this.. If we double-click an item in our inventory that can be equipped, using the "move item" cursor, we get the quick equip. It would be nice if we could double-click items that cannot be equipped, using that cursor & with the storage open to get a "quick store". That's it, just a little idea. I know, some people might accidentally do it sometimes while mixing but it wouldn't be hard to avoid. Or the double-click could have to be fairly fast to do it.
