I am not sure if this is the right place to post. If not move or delete it pls. I installed the new EL for Ubuntu through the update manager but I am getting the following error when I try to enable sound: 'Error opening sound configuration file'. Music plays fine though. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

The official client doesn't run for me with sound at all and crashes as well immediately when sound is selected. You either need to edit the el.ini file and deactivate the sound/music or just delete it and start the game again. Then it will work. Maybe Rauch will soon come up with a new compiled client. His versions mostly worked for me with all the features the game offers.

I just got banned by Radu for being rude to him. I guess this is reason enough. So, I am saying good bye to you all. It was fun as long as it lasted. But I should not be coming back. It is just a pity that I paid all my bills, totalling almost 200$ a couple of weeks ago, for a year. But that is I guess just bad luck. Also I should be quite thankful to Radu since it is going to free up some valuable time I so far spent on this game. For me Radu is the Owner of the game and therefore he can do whatever he pleases. If he lacks a certain sense of humour. Fine. I don't have a problem with the ban. All I tried to do was to get PURE into a Total War. Why Radu interfered, I don't know, but that is as well up to him. Hi, I have one alt and that is Lightfoot. And yes, I played Lightfoot during the ban. As far as I read in the forum (some mod post) it is not against the rules to play an alt. I am not sure who you mean by the others. But here is my guess and explanation: Thegreatlord is my oldest son. Lorddead is my younger son. Sweetwater is the guild bot and yes Lightfoot was buying and selling stuff to her. If this was illegal than I must have not read the appropriate rule and I will do this. Because of my sons being part of my family they live in the same house and we share an IP address. If you have a closer look at e.g. PMs between these characters you'll find out that these are real people and not alts. A other way to prove this would be we all log on at the same time and talk to you. Please reconsider your decision and let me know on how we can settle this. Thank you.

Excuse my ignorance and lack of knowledge but before I and my guild are doing something wrong here I want to ask this question. If we as a guild get red tagged by another guild is it ok to jump their bags and/or scam the members? Simple reason is in the occasion of being red tagged by another guild I would allow my members to even scam members of another guild with a red tag and not only just bagjump them.

Busterblader and a whole bunch of others have left the guild as of today. I would like to point out that actions taken in the last ten days were not initiated or controlled by me. But in the name of the guild I apologize for the threatening of other guilds. This was not fair play and I do not approve of this. This is a game and we all should act like it was a game If you have issues with |W| (or what is left of it) please direct them straight to me through PM on this forum until I will be back online in the game and I will handle them. I apologize for being rude to Radu. Granted. It was not appropriate. Fact still remains that Radu interfered in a conversation that was not aggressive or abusive. Wolfwitch had been muted on my side quite a while ago so I didn't see what she/he posted and I can't have responded to that. Also, I don't know if you have all the background on the conversation with Wolfwitch and what happend at that time when I muted her/him. I'd be more than happy to provide Radu with that. All I was asking for was a 'Total War' between my guild and 'PURE'. And yes I got upset when Radu interfered. Again, the language I used in that conversation was not appropriate, and I apologize for flying off the handle. But Radu on the other hand is not very choosy with his vocabulary either in some situations. I am not posting this to shorten my ban time. I am more than happy with the one month ban. Ok. I just had a brain farth and did some maths on this. I honestly do not recall having jumped your bag but I might be wrong. Anyway, by looking at following calculation I don't know how I did it. But I will pay some gc to find out if anybody can tell me. Supposedly I jumped a bag with the ingredients for 20 bear stones including Gypsum. Now, for 20 bear stones I would need: 400 Gypsum 60 bear furs 300 Life Essences Correct? Tell me if I am wrong. Now let's do the math here: 400 Gypsum * 10emu = 4000emu 60 bear furs * 9emu = 540emu 300 LE * 1emu = 300emu TOTAL emu to bagjump = 4840 emu The last and one and only time so far I was harvesting Gypsum was way back in November/December. My current carry load is now 580 emu. Way back then it was approximately half of it if not less. Let's say I had 280emu carry capacity at the time I supposedly did this. 4840emu / 280emu = 18 runs back and forth to storage. First of all anybody in their right mind would assume or believe that I would have made it 18 times back and forth to bag and storage without the bag poofing? Anybody in their right mind would think it would be worth the time and effort? Not taking into account that I had a hard time anyway getting to the mining place because I didn't know about the secret going back and forth. Even if we leave out the Gypsum as suggested it would be still 840emu to mule back and forth to store. Even 3 runs at least in this case, what did you do in the meantime, where were you? Sry. But this isn't real, is it?? If anybody can prove me wrong here I will be more than happy to reimburse twice the ingredients even if I have to die to kill the bears more than 50 times.

The goal is to create an association of players with different specialized skills to create a 'Strike Force' to fight in PK and other areas! For this purpose a special 'on demand guild' will be created where the players join for the event and get kicked afterwards to rejoin their 'home' guilds. The goal of this Force is to create a striking force which will be capable to beat and kill even some of the top players. Why would anybody want to do this? Simple question, simple answer! This legion could serve in guild wars as a paid force to resolve a conflict. You want to harvest hydrogenium in peace, we help you. You want to get rid of an unwanted PKer? We can do the job for you. The level of a player to join this not yet existing guild should be at least 20/20 a/d at a minimum to join the Infantry. The construction of the Legion is a 5 Tier construction. We would have: 1. Infantry 2. Fighters (a/d over 35) 3. Archers (lvl 10+) 4. Magicians 5. Summoners (+15) Anybody else below these levels is welcome as a scout to report the targets until the appropriate rank has been reached. Since this would be a mercenaries army everybody will provide their own armor and weapons. The benefit will be the split of the salary for the jobs. E.G. You want Samargatha killed as a customer. The price would be 500k gc. We as the Legion kill him and then we split the bate amongst the participants.

a N00B guild Meta Alliance. What does this mean? This means that all willing small and/or newbie/n00b guilds will join in a mutual alliance. Since most newbie guilds have mainly only a few members and restricted access to resources we can get things done faster together and share to the benefit for everyone involved. This includes: Meta guild quests to make GC, Training, Lvling, Counseling and advice, Information sharing, PK wars et.al. For questions and information Guild Masters should PM/Gossip me. Guild Masters should be in a strong position in their particular guild since a project like this will only work in a ToptoBottom environment and not in a 'Democracy'.

I didn't say the idea is bad and I also didn't say that people interested shouldn't contact me anymore. If smaller guilds want to further discuss this than I am still open for talks.
