You should be flogged just for being flexy... but considering the post and the answer, I will lend an oppinion where one isn't requested (since there need only be one reply to this post.... one that won't come, all oppinions are unwarented are they not?). I seem to recall there was a few good battles on RoT back in the day... I mean, we had that one with the thing... you were there.... you remember. And there was that time when Roja kicked the shit out of Ent, my personal favorite. I still prefer it to any other PK map, something about the solitude. Much like back when, people still come in and see a person wandering around in there, they just know they're about to die a horrible death. Must be exciting or something, they just keep coming back. I know I have since passed on my title as "that guy" but for my money, the ruins will always hold as THE PK MAP. ~Swiss

*agrees with Learner* I've often been asked why I spend so much time playing games on the computer, specifically why I spend so much time playing this game (which no one around here has ever heard of [they all play WOW or Half-Life online]). When I gave one of the non-computer people my answer, I had to explain some things that he didn't understand. The fact that this particular game has such a close nit community, it really has become a second entity from the "real life" society to me. I mean honestly, of the average 300-400 players online, how many names do you know? you might not know the actual people, but you see those names on a regular basis... save the 50 or so people who play for about a week then leave to be replaced by someone else on the list, it's a fairly static display... Looking at the list right now, I know/have talked to/have seen almost every capitalized name on there (stupid bots won't talk to me :-S). I consider the people in our community as much friends as I do anyone around me in real life. And so, I consider this game and MMORPG's in general and this one in particular to be an escape from the hectic schedule of my real life, a place where I can go to be among friends and leasurly sit around a camp fire and chat (or on the days when real life hasn't been so enjoyable bash the crap out of some ugly monster that reminds me of my boss....). 2 cents, Swiss

But what of the players that stockpiled all these items when they weren't so rare? by making them uber rare now, are you not giving these players an unfair advantadge? I mean the newbie that went to the every drop party on IP has hundreds of books, dropped by fighters because they WERE worthless, now "rare" books are becoming more rare, but you have players with *cough* 110 titanium axe const books... and they are now dropped 1 in 10k or so, same with capes and stones. It's simply a mater of logistics... you can't introduce something, have it dropped en masse, then take it away or dwindle it down to nothing. The most stones I ever got was 5 in one day of fighting, 4 in one day of harvesting. Now they sell for 15k each appx. Surely someone has a ton of these... when players become more desperate and they will, they will begin purchasing from a person who horded them before. Victim's of circumstance we all may be, but why deliberately make that circumstance worse? 2 cents ~E.S.

Well, since every guild now seems to find it necissary to have a store bot, messenger bot, pk bot, etc... why not list them seperately from the actual players online? The same page could be used, just move the XXXX_Messenger's, store bots, and various other bots (which are all registered so it shouldn't be too difficult) under a sub-category on the players online page. It would make finding out who's playing a little easier, as well as help some folks figure out why so and so isn't talking to them 2 cents ~E.S.

I've seen several topics from the last day or so addressing the off topic/spam/abuse from certain players in certain channels... A VERY simple solution would be to give the pker types their own channel... labeled specifically for them. Pk channel, talk about pking, training, other. The rules of the game still apply, but MOST off topic is allowed, because as we know, we're not all in the same guild, nor are we all in the same area... If a group of players want to talk they must join a channel, why not just label a channel for this particular group of players? Two Cents, E.S.
