  1. Sounds a bit complicated. People used to lose 1v1 contests by default because they didn't understand dissing rules.

Ok after reading it twice it makes sense. And sounds pretty fun. Good chance of it going balls up when someone re-enters the arena because "they didn't understand the rules" though.

  2. I never knew about it until I read this, but I knew something fishy was happening when I first heard Metallica's Death Magnetic album. At first I thought I had downloaded a dodgy copy, but when I bought the actual CD, it sounded exactly the same.

I think this has to be the most obvious example of "Loudness war".

Damn you for alerting me to this, now it'll be on my mind whenever I listen to anything.

  3. I like the token idea. Decreases the cost of pvping (Everyone loves nodrop arenas because it makes pvp cheap), and makes a reward for killing somone. (Which attracts people that dislike nodrop pvp because you risk breaking stuff with no reward)

  4. Are these set in stone changes now? Or is this a trial to see how well the changes go?

I'm happy to return to the game and remodel my character, but it would be nice to know if the changes are going to stay (Most importantly, the attribute cap).

  5. This update makes the arenas much more active, but even more impossible for newbies to pvp in. Now they're up against players that have infinitely more gold than they do and unless they're using a leveling attrib build, much much higher attribs and magic than the old DPA alts.

  6. Why are people requesting pvp have level limits when there are plenty of level locked arenas that are deserted all the time.

I didn't have time to level my character to 100+, so I stopped at 35 and pvped for a good year instead of grind.

Just make a large pvp map, that is 100 a/d or lower only.

  7. The reason that I no longer play is because of the huge investment in time (or money) to have a character able to pvp.

It isn't so much careful placement of PP and choice in armor, but training until you're a high level than your rival.

  8. The worst thing is what they do with the perfectly fine car that you hand in.

Just watched a video of an 06 turbo volvo having the oil replaced with sodium silicate, and the engine run until it's destroyed.

Destroying a new engine like that does FAR more damage to the enviroment and your economy than what the scheme is trying to fix. A $10,000 engine, completely destroyed for no reason.

Edit: whoops. Didn't realise sora had posted the video I was talking about.

  9. People forget that Entropy is a Capitalist, so pushing for any sort of Democratic process is unlikely to work unless the voting is done with money.

Pay per vote, the suggested feasture that raises the most money get implemented, then start another voting cycle, including the option to remove recent features.

Make up your mind Radu... :P

Edit: Suppose I'd better keep on topic.

Does it really matter who decides on the development? I'm sure most of us will continue playing no matter what. Being given the choice by the devs is a privilege that I'd rather keep though.
