  3. Sky test 3

    I had 2 clients open, one on main and one on test, on test my char was sitting in PL storage, on main I was walking between PL and WS, I walked between these maps several times, 5 or more. I lost all fps on main(was in WS), bad lag, I close main and test still has good fps, I relaunch main with test still up, and I still have 0 fps on main, bad lag. I had to close both clients to get back normal fps and no lag. I have had this happen on both my computers(All sky&cam options dissabled..using poorman)
  4. Arrows and bolts technology

    I'm trying to get this book for a friend 'Arrows and bolts technology' but its either not on the Notrh Redmoon vendor or its named wrong. There is one on the vendor minus the technology, its confusing because i dont want to waste money on the wrong book, plus if its not named the way the game is asking for, it's annoying. If it is on vendor named wrong, please fix, very confusing.

    Not sure if we ever will. Why? 16 bit generally uses less memory and is faster than 32 bit on low end machines. I usually keep desktop in 16 bit for the speed improvement, but at least if i forget to switch to 32 bit for EL, i can do it while its running.

    Will 16 bit graphics be usable any time? As of now only the 32 bit graphics enables all functionality of the cursor.

    I was using 16 bit depth for both, switched to 32 bit and both work. On the Laptop it runs smooth with vertex options on or off, both .exe's. On the Desktop it seems a little choppy when my character walks, looks like the camera follow is whats making it look choppy but other characters looked a little choppy as they walked by when I was standing still, vertex options on or off, both .exe's.

  13. Astrology GUI

    Some of the astrology windows are confusing and some seem obvious, can someone help with explaining them. Before the GUI was added there was a description of how the numbers worked, now its just a positive or negative, can we get that description back. I have'nt been able to find a definitive guide on forums. Theses are only a few of the astrology stones in game that I had on me The one that really got me is the degrade, not sure if its a good or bad number even though its negative.
  14. Man (player) eating leopard

    I like the idea, but it sounds a bit extreme for a leopard, even a man eating leopard wouldnt stray that far from a regular non-man eating leopard, just be more aggressive to everything. Stats that will/may go to 48 and even exceed, just sounds like it would be a bit tough for some to handle esspecially if it got(leveled) to dragon like a/d stats. Wearing equipment or using weapons, i just dont see it, armors are made for the humanoid frames; arms, legs,etc. are just not the same between the two. As for weapons they don't have hands to hold the weapon, most animals just aren't sentient enought to use equipment or weapons.

    I'm not sure what you think "normal operations" would be. Why do we level in the first place? Just to summon a giant in votd and have it follow us around until it dies? To finally be able to summon these creatures just so somebody can steal it away from us? Again, why bother? Summoning will go right back to being a skill with no purpose for the wealthy bored folks. If someone is summoning rabbits, deer..whatever small level in great quantities they seem to be leveling up their skill in summoning, they are not in a PK situation, then stealing would'nt be usefull. If someone summons a giant in VOTD thats their perogative but it would have been better used to help kill Yeti, Chims, etc... If someone summons in PK it is intended to help kill another person, the other person has no defense against that, unless they are strong enough to kill the summoned or summon a creature themselves, if not that is where defensive spells against summons would work out. I dont see how this is going to ruin a summoner, just a little flavor in PK, where they have to worry about someone that is better at magic/summoning stealing their summoned creature, and still only be a chance.

    It seems that this would only be used in PK situations, limited to PK areas/server. So there would be no need to worry about your summons in normal operations of them, summoning for exp. or helping kill monsters. Any chance to defend against a summoner in PK would be nice, whether its charmed, dispelled, or just highly damaged, just as magic if defendable with equipment and magic levels of caster vs. defender.

    for Win XP, Vista is similar(note EL uses 2 different folders) make sure the game installed in "c:\Program Files\Eternal Lands" directory, if the install program doesnt default to this make sure it does. or you could change your EL.ini in "\my documents\eternal lands\main" to reflect the installed path if this doesnt work, im not sure what will, search forums, sorry

  20. Decay rates on enriched essences

    If an NPC sold the enriched essences all the horders can keep their essences. It would put in a price cap for the essences, and could even be a price base for crafted items using them. But enriched essences are supposed to be rare makes, making them valuable items, but hording them because your not getting the gc's you want for them, of course no one wants them when they are above market value and the items made from them are below the ingredient costs. example: I was looking for an Alembic and a Vial mold, they both use 1 EFE. I see bots buying EFE's for 5.5kgc's - 6kgc's and selling them for 7kgc's I see bots wanting Alembics for 5kgc's to 5.9kgc's and Vial Molds wanted for 5kgc's. You might be able to get a better price from a person than a bot, but i doubt much differance, but you see the price differance, who really wants to loose money on their crafted items, they just wont make them. Crafters should'nt just suck up the losses, the community is a whole, and should act like it.
  21. Attributes cap for the main server

    I think this is the best post in the whole thread. At the time I implemented the restoration spell, there were no CoL/MoL, and people didn't have more than 120hp at most. Linking restoration to rationality (say, 10hp healed per point of rationality) would solve most of the problems, and there won't even be a need for a level cap. And, of course, the ranged skill will change how you allocate the points as well. If this also applied to remote heal, harm, poison, and other spells, you'd end up with a mage class that could be very effective I agree with this, a mage type with good harm or poison could be a good fight or even rival a fighter if stats were set right. A summoner whith high charm for the pets.They could even work together on the larger monsters, the mage is the healer, the fighter is a meat shield, summoner extra damage, or however. This could promote more team work. It just depends on the path you take.

  24. I was thinking that since the new tailoring skill has been added, silk clothing could be added to it. Change the thread that spiders drop to silk thread just for tailoring silk cloth. Could be differant styles of clothing in silk, maybe even shiny. it was hard to decide where to post this, even with searching
  25. "Market" value of EFE?

    How about taking away all the chances of making any enriched essences, and leave it to the alchemists and the enrichment stones as well as the online store. I know this would be a pain as well, since making enriched essences are high level in alchemy, or paying cash for them. Maybe this would also cause a problem with the number of enrichment stones in the game, something to be visited later. it's just a suggestion, since suggestions are what they want to hear.
