Smeegle and WeaverDAS are hosting the third annual NFL football league. last year we had about 20 participants, and are hoping it grows this year. The more that play, the bigger the pot and the more fun. It is fun and quite simple to play. How the league works: Every week, all players must pick winners/losers for each game that week. The person who predicts the most games wins. You will also have to pick a total score for the Monday night game in case of a tie. If 2 or more players tie at the end of each week the winner is the player whose predicted total points come closest to the Monday night game's actual total points scored. Entry fees: 500gc/week (Regular Season) 16 weeks total 750gc/week (post season including Wild card) 4 weeks total 2000gc for the Super Bowl (Optional) Total: 13kgc to enter, including the Super Bowl The person that picks the winner of the Super Bowl and comes closest to the total score wins the Super Bowl game pot. The winner of each week gets the whole pot. If we get enough interest in this we will move forward to the next step...the more players we get the bigger the pot and the more fun it will be...so let's go people, NFL season is almost BACK!! Its known to kill an castel best is to use just 1 top ranger with pk arrows. Arrows hit heals an castel allot . So somebody using training stuff would probebly heal it more then killing it. 1 top ranger with ER uses about 1k pk arrows = 35k till its down . Meaning: `unless you're ubberpr0 with maxed specialised a/d or ranging setup, don't bother helping`? Meaning: ´We're the powerfull and rich, and we don't intend to do anything to help lowerlevel unworthy scum to advance´? Most effective isn't always most fun, you'd be surprised to see how much fun it CAN be to team up with people you wouldn't usually work with. #edit: ofc.. silly me, once you get to the a/d levels to meleefight castellan, playing this game isn't about fun anymore, it's all about the 2nd job eh. Everytime I have been online during a castellan invasion I have seen nothing but encouragement on the invasion channel, asking any and all to come help. That has included melee fighters, rangers, summoners and healers. If they choose not to come, that is on them. It is not that they are not welcome to come and try. Korrode I agree that a larger player base is needed, but at the moment there is too much division amongst players that do play. There is a movement to fix that. Hopefully we will provide fewer but larger guilds for players to choose from, creating a more solid community. I think that alot of why the game has been going the way it has, is a divided a community. Unite it, in the form of fewer but larger guilds, like it was years ago and that will solve ALOT of the problems. On that note... Xanthus, yes it could at many levels. With many small guilds, individuals are more inclined to care about themselves, and less about a group. More guilds with fewer players generates more greed.

Well I guess we should have kept the Removal Drop secret and not shared the GC. At least that would make this thread a tad bit justifiable even though it would not have come up. what else has M&K done wrong, other than doing the right thing and sharing the drop? or Korrode, maybe EL needs fewer guilds, with more players in each guild, where each member can trust the other, and not be dependant on other guilds and their members. In the process you have fewer, if any alliances. Other benefits of fewer but larger guilds would include: More PK amongst the fewer but larger guilds, and bigger battles, including newer players getting to enjoy PK in their respective guilds (with no alliances) Guilds fighting for drops (no message needed, the guild that gets it keeps it) more active GM chat and activity This is something that is being worked on by a few players in-game with a lot of effort and hopefully will happen. Threads like this only enforce the idea.

The problem solver is to not team with people you are not CERTAIN you can trust. It will solve in-game scamming and RL $$ scamming, or scamming on levels. If you do not trust someone completely, do not team with them. If you choose to trust some one and get bitten in the arse, blame youself for your ignorance and stupidity.

I got this message in red on the screen when I tried to do a daily: Can't write to file (null)/Library/Application Support/Eternal Lands/main/quest_smeegle.log I have also been having to redownload the game because the game crashes after a couple log on/off sessions.
