  1. Lightspeed! You may not remember me. How are you these days?

Yes, I remember you (best) as Saint. :D

You said once that the name was from Ted Dekker's book by the same title, correct?

I'm good. How have you been?

  2. Hi all! How is everyone these days?

While going through some discs, I found this bunch of old Eternal-lands photos. Most of them are either of me, or the LoL guild, but contain many old faces and events from 2006 on. Does anyone remember some of these events or players? Are any of you pictured in these photos still lurking around EL?

I found them all to be very reminiscent, so here they are if anyone would like to take a look-see. medieval.gif

    Have a nice night,

  3. I get the same error as some of the others.

    Error log:

    stream error

Last couple of lines in the Debug log:

[engine/source/scenequality.cpp:206] Can`t use alpha to coverage without anti-aliasing.

    [map_viewer/main.cpp:351] stream error

    Hopefully these are somewhat helpful...

    System stats:

    Ubuntu 8.10

    Intel Core I7 920

    Nvidia GTX 285

    - Open GL Version 2.1(.2?)

And as far as I know, I'm using the latest drivers. 180.11. EDIT: Sorry, the newest drivers are 180.29, released earlier this month. I'm installing them now.

(P.s. Yeah, I got my new system built. :))

  4. Aphistolas, I'm currently doing the same thing as you. :)

I decided to go next Generation and get a Core i7 920, but from everything I've ever read, the Core 2 Q6600 Quad is a really great processor... And cheap, too!

For me, the case was a nearly IMPOSSIBLE decision... But I finally settled on the NZXT Zero (Or Zero 2. The NZXT guys emailed me and said it'll be available in mid-late January)

I just didn't care for the looks of these insane cases, or even the Antec 900/1200 that much, but I wanted one that looked fairly nice and had lots of room and airflow.

Oh, and I'd also like to HIGHLY recommend EVGA for a Graphics card. They not only make awesome products, but have GREAT customer service, and a lifetime warranty!

Just my 5 1/2 cents. (Inflation + All the spam. :()

  5. This is great! Now Obama can spread the wealth around by taxing our businesses... forcing them to fire us, raise their prices, and go under or move to China. Yay! :icon13:

    Seriously, though... Blech...

Oh, and be prepared for that terrorist attack that Joe Biden warned about. :D

Edit: I think I'll move to Ireland! They don't tax businesses over there, and abortion is still illegal.

  6. The idea is very interesting, and although I didn't much care for the original idea, USL's is awesome. I was about to suggest the very same thing when I read his post. If a system like that was added, it could also be used in other creative ways. Like, entire maps could be closed off now and then, for whatever reason (Here's where the creativity comes in. Maybe for invasions/contests?). "Emerald valley has been taken with the plague, and has been closed off from the general public for 2 days". Imagine an invasion where ALL exits from Idaloran, for example, were closed off. A lot of crazy people would be begging for rings or Teleport essences to escape. :icon13:

  7. Thank you, Burfoot. It cheered me up knowing that there's still some people that look into who is going to be our next President, instead of just voting for someone because he makes them feel good. :pickaxe:

While McCain is by no means perfect, and there are things I do NOT like about him, I think this is one of the cases where the phrase "Lesser of two evils" works well, I think.

By the way, did you hear about the Police storming ACORN? Apparently, they had 8,000 people signed up to vote (for Obama, of course. :pickaxe:) that don't exist. Interesting...

  8. ...lady who barely even knows anything at all about politics...

She's run a state. That's more experience than someone who has voted "Present" a couple of times in the Senate. :P

    3. obama will try to lower the tax payments (meaning less we pay to the government, and more $$ in OUR OWN pockets)

ROFL. I think you'd better research that one a little.
