Actually the reason I haven't put the face and side back on is because this 10 year old Dell isn't worth the bother! Plus all the guts are hanging out.... Ebay is a good source for bargains, that's for sure.

Sorry to fall asleep on you Ent, that's UVP 0. I think anything that mentions 'Vertex' on this computer is grayed out or not switchable. The Vertex settings in 'Adv Video - Options' don't seem to do anything, if that helps.

Works good for me! I did manage to turn Sora B. into a ghost somehow, but it had to be my doing. ~ I was playing with my Option settings just before he approached. Not seeing the 'Bug' tab before, I had to fiddle with it and had reset everything when Sora sat down. But he wasn't there! As soon as he was hit with a teleport nexus, he reappeared and everything else has been fine since. "I ain't 'fraid of no ghost!"

Count me in with the peaceniks on this one! It really is just plain fair to give the weaker players an opportunity to explore PK maps or collect some mercury without worry. Anyone who can afford or make night goggles probably doesn't have to worry about their source of mercury! Plus Peace Day doesn't occur very often anyway. Two questions: 1) Is it actually possible to automatically de-activate mines and traps for a period of time then re-activate them, could they be planted on Peace Day and not trigger until the next day? For all I know that could be a programming challenge not worth the effort. 2)Is this enough of an issue to allow players a say in the matter and vote on it? Give us Yanks some practice for November! Maybe an informal EL poll would shed some light on that. As things stand now it has obviously been a nasty surprise for a few players, and probably will for plenty more. If I hadn't seen this thread I'd have been an easy mark since I don't have the time to play that often these days. That also means I'm not leveling fast enough to catch up with all these new goodies! Think WWJLD.... definitely not plant land mines in Strawberry Fields!

I am so sorry to hear... poor Des, I hope she is comfortable now and happy. It seems like everything is so permanent and stable, particularly in our fantasy worlds on the web, then you lose someone. When in the main server I have "killed off" characters and re-developed them with the same name just to experiment with perks and nexus combinations. Can I do this in the PK Server after paying for a character name? For example, I have been playing "Joe Beets" as a potion maker and want to rebuild him from scratch as a manu-maker. Can I "killme" him and restart him right away or do I need to pay for another character? Um... not that EL isn't worth lots of donations!
