  8. EMP weapon

There were some previous attempts to do that (some EL council), but for various reasons it didn't work. The idea was to have all the players in a trade (alchemy, mages, summoners, PKers, etc.) vote for a representative which would vote for them all on important decisions. I still think Shallara's idea is the best, if you are indeed intent on gauging player opinion, which as you mention, is an advantage that EL has over other games. I'm not sure having the player base vote on representatives is the best way to select these "council" members, but a private forum with 20 or so such "council" members for feedback seems very attractive...and the idea to include all trades is very important as well. I don't know why it didn't succeed earlier, but perhaps re-thinking it may be in order?
  9. Same deal as before, 1 hydro bar for 200 steel bars. I have 30 25 23 hydro bars. All Gone...for now...stay tuned PM me in game
  10. I said that the a/d penalty should be increased. From -19 a/d it must be -29 a/d or -39 a/d. TS pots have an a/d penalty. And a/d penalty means more exp per hour. Otherwise players that are 90's now will need years to reach the a/d of others that are 130 a/d +. And of course a fluffie or a feros trainer cant afford hydro bars and add p/c. Plz tell me that u understood me None of this addresses Erma's question. Do you drink inv pots in order to get poisoned? Do you eat toads in order to get poisoned? So why would you drink ts pots in order to lower your a/d unless it was a benefit rather than a penalty? The answer is, you drink them for the benefit of a lowered a/d as you astonishingly acknowledge in your reply because it increases your exp. Should we make all pots give hidden benefits when they fail so we can all be 150/150 in a few weeks? How about making harvesting pots fail but when they do, they double your manu exp? Silly idea? Of course it is...but it's no different in practice than having a/d exp boost when ts pots fail...none at all. As it is now, there is no penalty for ts pot failure...the so-called penalties you list above are either highly debatable or trivial compared to the benefit otherwise no one would use ts pots to train. The logic of this is crystal clear and I cannot see how further input from me can make it clearer, therefore, I'm done.
  11. So you disagree with the idea because you think players should be able to use a design flaw to purposely circumvent intended limits for their own advantage? You're confusing intention with penalty. True sight pot failure is supposed to penalize you, not be the actual intention of the user. It is a design flaw that is currently being exploited. If Entropy intended ts failure to actually benefit people, then why not simply make a potion that reduces a/d? Why would a hidden benefit be arrived at by an item's failure to actually work at it's intended purpose? How do u know that its a design flaw? And if it is, your suggestion is to cover the design flaw with a worst design flaw? Ts pots with coords penalty will ruin many things like the prices of coords removal stones and all spawns. And as i said 80's and 100's are not the same. A ts poted player has a big disadvantage. How do I know it's a design flaw? Is the decrease in a/d supposed to act as a penalty or not? If so, it is flawed because it is acting as a benefit. If not, then why have a benefit added when a potion actually fails its purpose? As for the decrease in coord, that was simply a suggestion for something that will actually act as a penalty. It is a suggestion that can be changed or discarded altogether afaic. But the design flaw exists and should be fixed.

  13. That's the point...if inv potion fails, you get poisoned. It's a penalty. If true sight pot fails, you get lowered a/d, which for many is the intention of using ts pots, rather than a penalty. Good point. Using coord pots simply prevents you from trading with someone. A decrease in coord could have the same effect.
