To start, I do not believe alcoholism is a choice or even has to do with "weak" willpower as some have pointed out. That being said, everyone's reaction to alcohol is different, similar to drugs. Some develope dependancies their very first time engaging in an action, where as others never do, or do only after extended use. Am I willing to condemn someone and deny them goverment assistance cause they chose to drink once, and based on their genes, or chemical make up of their brain, became dependant on alcohol...no. With that being said...is this realistic? No. I seriously doubt I will ever see the day this happens in America. You have a chance of relapse etc, so it's not always a "one rehab fix" If this were ever to be implemented or something similar chances are the insurance premiums would skyrocket (not that they are cheap now) But this post wasn't about something being realistic, it was about should it happen. I do think it should, but where do you draw the line. Drug addicts? Pill poppers? 1 rehab, 2 rehab, 3 rehabs, unlimited rehabs?

Ok, so did all that pretty sure it was just lag as every other game ran fine the previous day etc, and this was the first time I had a problem with EL and I have been playing for 5-6 months. I do have a new problem now though but I'm not sure this should even be brought up here as it has nothing really to do with EL, but maybe someone can give some insight. So I went to nvidia to download the latest driver which is the geforce2 mx/mx 400, ok they give you hints to install a new driver and say uninstall the old one blah blah, did that followed their instructions etc, no problems. Installed the updated driver being the nvidia geforce 2 mx/mx 400...problems lol After installing a new driver you have to restart....well windows kept restarting, after I initially restarted (ie. I restarted windows loads, but after about 2 minutes restarts again) I know windows xp does that when it encounters a system error of some kind. Anyhow moving along....get the blue screen with the stop message (if you have xp I'm sure you know what I'm talking about) Windows has encountered an error blah blah then it gives you the stop 0x0000007e (various paramaters). So I thought great I messed something up....so to me that didn't sound like a problem caused by nvidia, but loh and behold start up in safe mode, uninstall the driver and my computer starts fine. Problem is with no display adapter installed you can't play games. Now I've went over everything I could think of, the old driver I can't find (that being the initial one that came on the computer geforce2 mx 400) and I've tried installing the geforce2 mx/mx 400 multiple times all with the same result. So I downloaded a driver cleaner thinking maybe by chance there were still parts of the old drivers left and somehow they were conflicted. That didn't work either. So I thought maybe it's a timing issue, so I downloaded a path from microsoft that's suppose to correct timing issue's (which is one of the possible causes of the 0x0000007e and it's paramaters) I have yet to try to download the driver yet though cause quite frankly I'm tired lol Anyhow just let me know what you think about this. I'm going to give it a couple days if I can't figure it out just going to buy a new graphics card and go from there. P.S. I downloaded the driver straight from nvidia.com for some reason everyone I talked to keeps asking me that

Alright so basically I go through points in the game where it runs in slow motion...I mean slow motion during these times my fps are from 140-200. Ya I know crazily high. So to remedy this I limited fps to 50 thinking that might be the problem. It kinda worked for about a minute lol. Here's all my information. If you got any insight into this I'd love to hear it. hmmmm I don't think it's really a scam. Just a beggar imo. Someone trying to get something for free, I think a scammer would have been a little more persistant. I'm on channel 1 about 20 hours a day as I leave my client up most of the time. Went back and looked through logs which I organize and date them everyday (yes I know I can be anal at times but it helps to look through them) and I've seen no mention of you by other players in the manner she was speaking of. Anyhow *shrugs* if she wants money she'll learn to make it or quit. Who knows which option will prove the best

mwhahaha Since this was changed I'm made well over 20k on fe's. Anyhow still not seeing a problem really. Sure it takes longer but *shrugs* but not any longer than most things. So far I've been hired by 3 people to make fe's. As a new player this is great (boring) but great as it's getting me lots of alch exp and I don't have to waste time harvest. Sorry can't complain about a system that's benefitting me.

This was the first invasion I participated in...lol 24/24 a/d doesn't do much good in invasions, but I went to c-2 anyhow, was probably in one of the first 20 to die...but I kept coming back lol. Killed some skunks Just to get owned by mountain chim hehe. It was fun though I liked it. The storyline was good, the monster variety was good and it was spread out enough there was no lag for me even though I was running 2 clients. So that was good too. I had a blast and I saw some things that I found very interesting. People running around healing others to help, people returning db's know that in the chaos they could just as easily have taken them and ran. I saw a community today and not invdividual players. Was nice for a change for most to be allies instead of enemies/aquanitinces(spelling) Anyhow loved it, hope to be stronger for next time

With alchemy of 16 I failed 10 out of 100. That's 90% success at alch 16...*shrugs* doesn't seem like it's going to be that big of a deal. I'm all for it, I think it'll help the economy *shrugs*

I'm a new character I won't lie. Fairly weak and full of niave ideas and beliefs I'm sure as most of us were when we first started out. So let me say I've read all of this thread and the BoD thread (which was ghastly) and have a few things to say. Honor??? What is that? It differs from culture to culture place to place. You know what I think if you go into a pk map weather you are NEW are not, you have to know you may be attacked without provication. So don't complain about it. I've had to cross many pk maps and been killed many times for it, but life goes on...if you're going to cross a pk map but you don't plan on fighting...don't carry anything valuable. That just seems like common sense to me. Next, if you want to fight....what's honorable? I say 1 on 1 is honorable, that's it. I don't care about anything else. I don't pick people out to pk though they generally pick me. Now my solution to this was to get BoD...sound dumb? Why it keeps me safe. Before walk through pk say to get to wolfram...get killed by someone 5 times my level. No big deal it's his right as the pk map is his terrain and his element. Now with BoD whose gonna just walk up and attack? Some might, but the chances go down. In doing such I have saved myself a lot of time and trouble. That's smart, and time is money everyone should know that. Hell even after 2 days in the game you know that. The fact is everyone wants to win, and nobody wants to lose. That's to be expected. There are solutions to some of these problems though I think. Don't go into a pk map alone. It's no worse than walking through a bad part of town where you know people get mugged often. Would you walk that street at night alone? Probably not...pk is no different there is always someone waiting just around the corner to "mug" you. Rosto will not always save you! Don't think it will. It doesn't make you invincible. Don't believe me...eh wait till someone pulls out a BoD. Seriously everyone seems to think there are these set rules on how you should pk, and what should be allowed and shouldn't be. All I have to say is what the hell! What's next, am I going to have to stand in a certain spot and ask when I can attack and heal in a pk map and be told what weapon I can and can't use. What's ironic is that these so called "high level" players that are preaching this (not all of you the one's I'm talking to should know who they are) are in fact guilty of many infractions themselves. If someone comes into a pk map no matter who would you kill them? Some wouldn't some would I'd say. IF it was a noob a lot would, knowing that they had no chance. Now let me ask you, is attacking someone that has no chance honorable? Not really, it's xenocide. Yet many do it. If a high level character comes in unarmed not looking to fight but to instead harvest wolfram for example...would you kill him. Chances are you'd try and take advantage of what you'd view as a weakness. Is this honorable? No. There is no honor in battle is my point. Disagree with me fine, want to ignore me even better, think I'm a bad person *shrugs* so be it. It doesn't change the fact to be the best you have to be more ruthless then the guy next to you. That's just how it is. I don't condone fighting someone 4 on 1, but if it happens *shrugs* deal with it. Instead of crying about it, get even. Fight fire with fire. They want to fight unhonorably return the favor. Make them pay and wish they'd never laid eyes on your char. But instead what do we get....crying...he did this he did that, he cheated...high school all over again *shakes his head* Bah great game, one of the best I've seen...to bad there are to many whiners.
