    I wish to offer my thanks to everyone who participated in this year's raffle, in whatever form, no matter how big or how small. Thanks to the support of each and every one of you, I managed to raise $4,365 from the raffle this year; over $500 more than the raffle last year.

     

    Of course, my thanks to all of Riva (plus Lartherel and Toedele who joined us just for the raffle) for just being Rivans throughout the entire event.

     

    I would offer my thanks to all the helpers from outside Riva that helped with contests, and provided the needed emu to make it all happen. Without these wonderful folks the contests we did for the younger players could never have happened!

    Clue 1:

    We are taught that "BSF, BL, BQ, SA = WE" on this chalk board. What is the number of ingredients for the other equation?

    Clue 3:

     

    In a land where there was one, now there are two. Find the bearded man whose fire is cold, and count the bottles he has left on the ground

     

    Clue 4:

     

    In a place where day and night don't matter, find the coffin laid upon the water. How many columns are there?

     

    Clue 5:

     

    Radu did leave his mark, digits pointing up to the sky. How many stones does it stand upon?

    Again you are correct! This completes the first number of the coordinates, so no I will post the remaining coordinates, and the clue to the map where the hyperbag is located. Note, the numbers are all in the correct order as the clues were given.

     

    Clue 4:

     

    All be it not in the normal tradition, gold adorns the walls that wind the way to your goal. Stand before the arch and count all the windows.

     

    Clue 5:

     

    This map has a road that winds back on its self, but leads you to 5 different paths. One path will lead you to a wagon with a fallen cabbage, but how many cabbages are left on the wagon?

     

    Clue 6 (the bag map):

     

    It seems as if my friend Hempknight left his house in a hurry, and also in a mess. As he ran, it appears he dropped his bag outside some where.

    Hyperbag hunt 1!

     

    Want a chance to win some raffle tickets? We're gonna have a hyperbag hunt, but in order to find the bag, first you must answer some riddles to get the coordinates. How does it work? Simple. I'll post clues, you find and post the location, and answer to the question. The answer will be one of the numbers in the coordinates.

    Following in the tradition of the raffles in the past three years, myself and the Rivan Warriors will bring you another big raffle. Last year 5,875,000 gc in prizes were given away (up from 1 million the first year), we'll see how many we get to this year!

     

    Last year, in total I raised over $5,000 dollars for the walk, $3,689 came from this raffle. The walk itself raised over $64,000 dollars, and had a record turnout!

    The cause: American Diabetes Association's "Step out to fight Diabetes"

    23.6 million (24% are undiagnosed) children and adults in just the U.S. suffer from diabetes, America's fastest growing disease. Diabetes can, and does, lead to a wide range of other serious health complications. By helping me participate in Step Out, you're not just helping to funds to eliminate one disease. You're also battling cardiovascular problems, kidney failure, blindness, lower limb amputations, and much more.

     

    My daughter Tori was diagnosed with Type I diabetes one month after her third birthday. I have participated in this walk ever since, and have been acting Volunteer Corporate Chairperson for the last few years. This year I am Publicity/Media subcommittee Co-Chairperson, and am responsible for putting together the video PSA (public service announcement) commercial.

     

    The Timeframe:

    Last day to purchase tickets for the lottery is Saturday, October 2nd at 10 am Central Timezone, USA.

    The drawing will take place inside the White stone City Palace which can be found at White Stone City [38,731]

    The drawing will be held on Saturday, October 2nd at Noon Central Timezone, USA.

    A winners list will be posted in this thread. Prizes will be "hand delivered" in-game.

     

    The rules:

    Raffle tickets are $5 US each. If you want to participate, you need to

    1) send me a forum PM with your real name and dollar amount of donation, and

    2) make your donation at one of the following locations:

    The Drawing:

    Winners will be selected by lottery. For every $5 a person donates, they will get get one "ticket" for the drawing. The drawing will take place using the list randomizer at http://random.org/ with the list being one entry of a ticketholder's name per ticket they hold. As each drawing takes place, the winner will have one instance of their name removed from the list, and the list will be randomized again to select the next winner.

     

    Prizes will be awarded in the order they are picked, prize 1 goes to the first draw, prize 2 to the second, etc...

     

    Notes:

    This event has been authorized by Entropy (Radu), and prizes have acquired or manufactured by myself over the course of my EL life, or donated by my friends in-game, the EL community.

     

    Remember, this is a charity fundraising event that just happens to have prizes as an incentive. The money goes to American Diabetes Association. Donations are tax deductable in the US. If you do not like the terms, don't participate.

    Following in the tradition of the raffles in the past two years, myself and the Rivan Warriors will bring you another big raffle. Last year over 5 million gc in prizes were given away (up from 1 million the first year), we'll see how many we get to this year!
