OMG!!!! Gargs are trying to rip my cloths off o_O

Recommended Posts

i never really cared until now about the random breakge, but a few mintues ago i found out why it's annoying. So I was fighting gargs for a bit, with ember there healing me. This is at the large garg spawn in vermor castle. Anyways, first garg i lose my fur hat.

NNNNNOOOOOOO, not my fur hat, now all the gargs gotta die. Next battle my leather boots break again the garg. boots, yeah well hat and boots i was still okay with it hat's break A LOT. very next battle against the beast and i lost my pants. I came the the conclusion the gargs are either trying to get me naked, or this random destruction thing is kinda funky.

All these were brand new i watched the person make them, and to lose all that, that quickly well.. we need to think of something these guys can implement for us so this don't happen anymore. :) I would hate to see a newbie be like omg i lost my sword, pants, and shield i just bought against a deer, this game sucks.

LOL...I think you were just realy luckey (in a bad way). I always wear a hat and it never breaks...well...it broke today when I fouth a wolf (do you think all these damaged items have somethign to do with you?! LOl).

Anyways...maybe lowering the percentage chance of having items breaking woudl be good..i mean...losing that had wasen't that great...I look horrible without that hat ssince I am bald! LOL...luckily someone had a spare hat and gave it to me (those white bunnies are sooo anoying to catch...and I gave my spare hats to desprite newbs...).

You have a point there, this is the disadvantage of break by chance :?

Well Spock, welcome to the world of being a fighter.

Not that I like it either. I've had days were I seem to lose items left and right... making trips back to storage where I've learned to keep plenty of backup.

And then their are days when I've only lost one thing and fought for 2-3 hours.

I don't like it either, but it does make the manufactur skill stronger. Without breakage, fighters would only be concerned with PKers taking their stuff after they were pwned.

So, I'm sorry you've had a bad breakage day, but I think that as you talk with other fighters, you're going to hear a lot of the same stories from them as well.

I don't like that it's a chance (if it's a chance) i think it should be so many hits or something (that do dmg or normally would do dmg without armor) hmmm.... cuz if it's a chance thing that's kinda funked up

kira, you can't read can you!?!? i didnt' say no breakage, i said something else cause this system is dumb. it's like playing a game of darts blindfolded, if you hit the board your armor breaks.

What if rather than a chance to break, there would be a chance for an item to lose durability? You would be able to monitor how soon the item will break, and there has to be things like...

Item + Leather + Thread, Needle in inventory = Item with full durability

Item + 4 Fire essence, Hammer in inventory = Item with full durability

Broken Item + 2 Leather + 2 Thread, Needle in inventory = Item with full durability

Broken Item + 9 Fire essence, Hammer in inventory = Item with full durability

Which formula it uses would depend on the item.
