Zilding Report post Posted March 18, 2015 AFAIK OA xp cap is a technical limitation, at 2^31 (max value of signed 32-bit int). While it'll suck when I get to 179 and OA xp gets 'wasted', I'm in the mid 150s and it's probably already about the same amount of work to raise 1.5Mgc to buy a pp than it is to get an OA lvl anyway... Perhaps some (repeatable) Redeemer quests for OA 179's (and ONLY for OA 179s) could be good? 25k high-level monster kills for a pp, or something like that? No idea what you guys did but I am still have not hit oa 179. Pickpoints can be bought anyway for cash so a higher overall only help those with deep pockets. A game which focus only on the money spenders will loose the casual gamer and than will loose the money spenders too. The android platform is the best example for this. Think of difference calculations, comparisons, external libraries, and I'm probably forgetting a few. Some of these could be circumvented, but not all, or not without a cost (in performance, or functionality). Also, such a change implies changes in data storage, and in the client (and please, make sure that both change at the same time...). And changing to 64-bit ints (signed or unsigned) would have at least some of the same problems (notably the client change), and adds a few protocol changes. want a balanced game we should not rise the overall cap at all because it only helps the fighters and makes some aspects of the game much worse as it is already. note: we already have an affordable way to get free pp / buyable pp ***** [09:34:17] l179-l172 = 597069680 **** So Cyberwulf would have needed 600 billion xp to hit the overrall cap in teh first place. which is kinda only achieveable with Haidir passes. That she has a fairly high a/D rate, think about how long she is playing and check her other levels i call that high. Cyberwulf would have been also by now almost capped, if the lord would not have called him away from this world. As for burn, i am sure that he could manage the oa 179 without fighting just with mixing (the right product) withhin this year if he wants to (probably withhin 3 month). There is no doubt that this game preferes a/d i get a lot of xp with the dailys. Hardly train otherwise am almost at 150, started to play long after brusu, and consider myself a mixer. with the hard goal to get all skills to 100 or abrove. Point is, that after OA 179 you do not get any pp for the hard work (and before so rare that it is more profitable to buy pp per nexus and hydro then to level for it) that having this would cause other problems. As to Revi, yes a type change on a variable does cause lots of troubles that one need to look after, and yes it also would effect client as server, But it could be done, and probably even pretty fast on the variable, that like the oa does not know negative signs. Alternatives would be a second counter for those who are at oa 179, which could be done server side only until the client catches up. or ... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

But indeed, while 5M/day is quite possible on the right days, as an average it's "a bit" too much; I think the maximum I've heard of (from a reliable source) is 22M in a day, and don't ask about the amount of gc involved... Ty This argument is flawed. Buying 1 pp from npc is 1.75mgc. White wizard hats are jusy about the best mixing xp you can imagine. 16Kxp for approx 800 gc yields 20 xp per gc. Thus, #Calc (L179-L178)/20 = 4.9 Mgc for 1 pp grinding oa. Why would gc buyers pay MORE to buy 1 pp via levelling oa? This idea allows for players in the long run to obtain more pp without gc or $$ which is the opposite of pay to win. Additionally, fighters who train and do dailies have almost always levelled faster than pure mixers regardless of gc buying or not. RM Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
