Active spell in HUD not update on re-cast

I noticed that after casting "shield" I had a nice icon in the HUD with a blue bar behind it, indicating the time remaining for the spell.

 

However, after recasting the "shield" spell, the blue bar was not updated to full, but continued counting down for the first cast.

Not too much of a problem for shield (with the animation around the character), for things like MI it would be nice if the blue bar indicated

the real remaining time after the last cast (i.e. reset to full on re-casting)

Strange, it shood behave as you expected, it does for me. I presume you are running from a recent git build. Do you have the latest spells.xml file? The client should tell you at start-up if you do not (again assuming you have recent git). The lastest file is in git with the client source.

OK, that must have been was the problem, it never even occurred to me I'd have to copy data files from the source directory...

Great, I'm glad its working. No problem with noise, someone else might experience the same and just accept it without asking. Now there is help for everyone.
