Coordinates when you die

Recommended Posts

Of course it would - in fact it would be easier if you didnt die......

This was once in an illegal client and caused a lot of people to get banned.

I sometimes forget to click compass

Do you mean you often know you're going to die before it happens? If you have time for the compass then you have time to press Ctrl + 1 and Ctrl + 2 to use the disengagement ring and teleport ring that you should keep in slots 1 & 2 of your inventory.

Spend time exploring and knowing the map well before any training/fighting. Using MM cape/perk if necessary. When you know the basics of a map, you can get to where you died very easily without need of coordinates, just from remembering your surroundings.

It's always good to explore a map thoroughly before doing things on it.

Just don't die :P

Check the area around you out while/before you engage to fight and check the minimap for a better location of where on the map You are and it will be easier to find yourself back in case you die..

Learn to use aliases.

Create an aliases to mark/unmark current location:

#alias 0 #mark X

#alias 1 #unmark X

Before fight (or in fight) type #0

This will mark your location on map.

After fight type #1 - it will unmark location.

If it is safe look at map and repeat #1 to unmark other marks you may have forgot to remove.

Just repeat #1 until they are all gone.

IF you die go back to map and look at map - location you died at should be marked.

If more than one you will need to check each mark close to where you were and make sure you clear map of marks after done.

It's funny some suggested not to die.. as if that's a choice. Tips and workarounds are nice but those don't actually answer the topic.

So, is it ok for the client to print coordinates when you die? Yes or No and also explain.

I say yes because it would make life easier in some cases and i don't see how the game would do better when your db poofed because you couldn't find it.

The simple answer is that there are many, many suggestions in the past on ways to "make dying easier".

The end result for most of all of them boils down to "dying isn't supposed to be easy". Thus we have rostos, the perk to reduce the chance of dropping things... you have to pay to make it easier.

Losing the deathbag is the only risk of dying. It's not like Super Mario where once you're out of lives, you can no longer continue to save the princess in another castle.

My above suggestion remains valid... If you have looked around the map and keep a general idea of where you are on it, you don't need coordinates.

And, well, "don't die" is always good advice, even if it can't always be heeded. ;-)

@Domino - Actually it Is a choice. If you attack something you risk getting killed and choosing to Not attack it would mean you chose to Not die :P

I am actually surprised that the regular answer for multiple suggested things haven't been posted already = This has already been suggested before Search before you post..

Rather than this whole complicated bit, just click on the compass, it will post you location in your chatlog. If you die, easy to find by scrolling up, if you dont die, nothing to remove.
