You get that output if the client dos not exit cleanly - in this case due to you killing it. The only unusual bit is the error in server.lst but that should not be causing your problem. If you run the client form the command line then on exit, it will write:

doing SDL_Quit

done SDL_Quit

Depending of what you see we will know a bit more. You could try running with gdb nd using ctrl-c when the exit hangs and find out roughly where its hanging. You could also use strace to see what the client is doing when the exit is hung.

To run in a terminal with strace use:

strace el.x86.linux.bin

Once it hangs, post the last few lines

To run in a terminal with gdb use:

gdb el.x86.linux.bin

At the prompt type "run"

When it hangs, ctrl-c and type where, post the last few lines.

These may not show anything helpful, If you get command not found or similar error, you will need to install the gdb or strace packages.

The other thing to try is disabling stuff like sound/music. Make sure you #save before trying to exit so the settings are written to disk. Does the client exit properly if you try at the login screen?

Try 'man sudo' in a terminal (works for most linux commands)to see what the '-i' is about.

and the red colour is a warning that you are working as root/administrator

(which means you can do a lot of damage, like removing ALL data, including system)

(basically, 'sudo -i' gets you a shell or terminal with user 'root'. Be aware that the home directory for that shell will also be root's...)
