alot of us do it. may it be poke or tag depending who ya play with.

 

but lets make it an official feature.

 

#tag

 

this could be the command to toggle off and on.

you have a colored emblem over your name like magic spells do but it stays on until you #tag it off.

 

when you #tag. your default yellow, meaning your a runner or a tagger depending on who you get or gets you first.

if your tagged. your emblem is red.

if your a runner, your emblem is green.

 

this will make EL alot more fun.

 

if your #tag is off, you cant see who is playing so you cant #tag on and #tag off to avoid being tagged.

also we can add statics like PKI on character page.

im a firm believer in balance.

 

you have your pk type people and your tag type people.

and those that swing both ways,

wooo hooo cool idea Stronze! I used to tagging with friends (and still doing so when I got time :P ), this sounds really like fun - very nice thinking with the green/red icon and statistics +1 :icon13:

Not solely American, commonly played in the United Kingdom too, when we're not playing British bulldogs :P

 

Like the idea Stronze - Sakaala and Gwinny better watch out if implemented :sneaky:

Yea familiar w/British Bulldogs game just did not know if "Tag" was played in UK or in Commonwealth under it or different name.

Speedhax works well... Friend trade request tags you, and suddenly you zip up, accept and bolt. good fun :D

We are already playing it, but an offical feature would be nice. Instead of changing the name color of the the player (as I understood it) there could also be a symbol floating over your head like for the :

  • Magic Immunity Spell
  • Shield Spell

Maybe someone has an inspiration and can make us a symbol, I would like a Joker :happy:

 

And maybe there could be a safe area around the storage or a feature that allows you to turn off #play tagging. And I think there should be more then 1 'tagger' in the game. It would be funny if you could actually collect more then 1 tag on you .. This symbol would do nothing except stay over your head.

 

Here is the twist, when that player logs off the 'TAG' is given randomly to a player who is trading with an NPC :happy: , so the Tags don't get lost in the game.

 

How many taggers should be in the game ? What do you think ?

My oppinion: Five would be cool.

Why not just any random player? Don't understand why specifically someone trading with NPC.

i thought of it as an on/off switch.

 

on your a tagger

off your a runner

 

in theory it should balance itself out when you #tag cuz you start as neutral.

all runners run from neutral and all taggers chase neutrals.

 

not everyone will want to play tag just like not everyone wants to pvp/pk.

 

also mods could host tag games on maps instead of invasions.

 

this could also lead to hide and seak events where 1 person is tagger that is chosen randomly of of the group.

invance/instance npc can host them after a global is announced.

 

the tagger is teleported away on other side of map.

2 prizes could be randomly given.

1 for the tagger and 1 for last runner to survive being tagged.

 

or

 

its based on a time limit.

1 random prize is given.

if the tagger gets everyone. he/she gets the prize.

if the runner survives until the time limit runs out, runner gets the prize.

I have thought about a few rules of how the game is played:

  • You can receive multiple tags only from different players.
  • When you have multiple tags they pile up.
  • When you are tagged you have to wait (cooldown) 10 seconds before you can pass it to the next player
  • There would be a slight disadvantage for PK , for example you can no longer become invisible
  • A player who has multiple tags can only relay 1 Tag to 1 player
  • Robots are not allowed to play tag
  • Tagging is unidirectional (after A>B, B>A is not allowed, only B>C)

Why not just be able to #set_tag to be able to play tag

Works in the same way as #set_enemy_combatant, aka not visible

Let you check your tag scores like #frags, but #tags?

Similiar input from the player point of view, makes it simpler, and tag shouldnt be complicated.
