Expensive dragons

Recommended Posts

Hello together. This topic is a suggestion about the Red dragon (summoned monster) and it being useless / way too expensive right now.

At this moment a summoers highest possibile monster to summon is a Red dragon which costs a massive load of GC. You are able to summon two dragons on use of one ingredient set so the cost is halfed (unless you fail and lose it all).

Current RD cost: 10 serpent stones (88k cheapest), 6 EFE (52k cheapest), 5 ELE (28k cheapest), MoP (4k cheapest), + high failrate.

The current lowest price for summoning 2 RD by hand is 172k without the failrate being calculated.

Current ACW cost: 6 ELE (33.6k cheapest), 1 EWE (2.4k cheapest), + low failrate.

The lowest price for summoning 8 ACW by hand is like 36k, and it terminates people more effective and easy for a 1/6 cost.

Is there any possibility to lower the dragon to like a cost of 70-100k? It would be used much more then.

(lower than 70k-80k could have the risk of dragons being used in certain instances or invasions)

Agreed, the RD summon has no practical use in game these days except for show-off, and there are other summons which are too expensive for their effect, or their ings require too much EMU. One reason is, the player base has much higher a/d than at the time when summons were introduced- so, which was considered powerful back then, now is weak in comparision. I've been thinking about it but sadly, i don't know how to solve this. When looking at the Red Dragon only, yes, reduction of ings would definitely help.

Learning the dragon to spit fire, possibly making area damage would be a nice boost ;)

Maybe also making it possible to trade with the dragon (in the way that it would only accept the items and it would never drop them) so you could stock it with potions and point defense.

The last post was in April 2012.

How about replacing the serpent stones with Enriched Energy Essences ? It would still be insane expensive but maybe I would actually see someone summoning this dragon one day.

EEEs are barely used as it is. Serpent stones have a lot more uses. A good idea but NOT a good idea just to add EEE to requirements.

Ok someone brought this up so I will reply. First RD is no longer the highest mob to summon. Yes they are very expensive to summon. I would love them to be cheaper I would summon them more.

This this and only this :D

like tempest said now a ranger can take a RD by him self (pinned). Lets level the playing field, every time dragon gets hit with arrow has certain % chance to shoot fire ball at you, and this percent can increase as the dragons health gets lower as it begins to panik and fight for its life. ;)

That would make red dragon scale prices even higher than they are now...
