SkeptA Report post Posted June 19, 2011 can anyone tell me why my client crashes as soon as i log in? i am on windows and when i load client, the screen is white and then i log in and it crashes and says "client has stopped working", can anyone help me? i have un-installed and re-installed and also before that i downloaded update and nothing worked. Given data_dir was: "c:\Program Files\Eternal Lands\". Using "D:\Eternal Lands". This looks like your problem: The data dir, and so all game data, cant be found. Change this entry #data_dir = "c:\Program Files\Eternal Lands\" in your el.ini file to the correct folder, where your game data is installed. el.ini is installed under Linux in the .elc folder in your $HOME directory. under Windows its in "Documents & Settings" or however it's written in your language.
