Burfoot Report post Posted January 14, 2010 don't really think theres help, just want to post and see if anyone else has this prob.. running ubuntu 9.10 ati radeon 4200 vid I imagine this is more problems with the ati linux drivers and el - didn't dig to much here, but first I had a memory leak with updated drivers so i went bk to old 8.68 drivers and had no trouble, until update. after update fps went from 90's to 30's and game became laggy. unless some1 has already tried I will reinstall updated drivers and see what happens. for the first time in my EL life, El runs better on Windows than Linux
Lunksnark Report post Posted January 14, 2010 One my windows PC running: MB: ASUS P7P55D PRO RAM: Corsair 4GB PC3-12800 Dominator CPU: Intel Core i5 750 VGA: Sapphire Radeon HD 4870 1GB DDR5 I see a fairly massive memory leak with the EL client. Don't know if its caused by EL or the drivers though as I haven't had time to try different things and see what happens. As I'm at work I also cant see which version of the drivers, but I did a clean Windows 7 install not that long ago and I picked up the latest set then. Its strange as you can sit there and watch the memory usage in task manager going up by 250kB-270kB every second or so. Is that the sort of thing you were seeing in Linux? korrode Report post Posted January 14, 2010 Some people running both Windows and Linux talk about the settings they're using in EL with their ATi cards to stop memory leaks here: http://www.eternal-lands.com/forum/index.p...st&p=511277 ...might help.
