bigkav Report post Posted August 17, 2009 I was talking with Stivy in-game today about the harm formula, whilst testing we began talking about the life drain spell, and how it tells you the damage you inflict/get inflicted for. We were wondering if we could change the harm messages. Currently they are: You harmed Player/Mob. & Player cast harm on you... What I'm suggesting is that the messages should have the damage you got inficted to you/inflicted to your enemy. Something like this: You harmed Player for X damage & Player cast harm on you for X damage So.. what do you think?
mrfancypants Report post Posted August 17, 2009 agreed, that would be a lot more helpful knowing how muhc someone harms for in battle
Raistlin Report post Posted August 17, 2009 Good suggestion imo. The same counts for remote-heal and poison spell
MagpieLee Report post Posted August 17, 2009 The side benefit from this means that it will work on monsters too. If you take the MD model - it tells you how much mana you've drained from monster/players. LD is the same. Even restoration has "you have recovered xxx". Not that I'm a mage or anything but I like this idea. I would also like it to work for all spells that has a semi-random value. Like Bones to gold, smite/heal summoned and lastly, remote heal etc

bigkav Report post Posted August 25, 2009 Would love to see this implemented... as others have mentioned it should work for remote heal and other spells that heal/do a set amount of damage.
