Fake contest holder.

[Peeves]

Birdcamp enters DPA and claims that the person that kills will win his scythe. He posts this several times.

In the end he gets bored and says we have to kill him within 30 seconds

I run in and kill him in 21 seconds.

First he claims that it was under 30 seconds. The chat logs say otherwise.

Then he claims he was being "sarcastic"

 

Chatlog has been trimmed. There were several other people there that have the same logs.

You made a contest and then continued to change the rules...

 

BUT...

 

23. Obey Contest Rules.

The moderators may create and enforce rules and consequences for contests and other events, which you agree to abide and be bound by through the act of participating and/or attending.

 

1. All prizes and conditions to win contest MUST be announced at the beginning of the contest before the players start.

2. Contest holder MUST follow through to the end and give the stated prizes. Intentional logging out to avoid awarding the prizes will be punished.

3. No changing of the rules or conditions of the contest after it has started.

4. No substitutions of prizes (unless of greater value or adding additional items) after the contest has been stated and/or started.

5. Only one contest at a time. Check first before starting one. Official contests and events take precedence.

6. No lengthy general/off-topic chat during contests. Also keep the chatter down when there is no contest. With lengthy conversations and discussions, it's harder to check if any contest is currently on, and more difficult to get a contest started (the announcement can get lost in the chat).

7. Do NOT make "PM PlayerX saying blah blah blah" contests WITHOUT PlayerX's permission. Doing so is in violation of ingame rules 2,3, and 25.

 

 

What you did was specifically against the game contest rules from what I see and you owe him that weapon.

It was either a contest or a scam attempt. I sincerely doubt you can force anybody to pay up. Good luck, though

it was neither i was messing about and the :niether am i ofc. that was sarcasm but no way of showing it really and ive appoligised to peeves in game if he thought i was been serious :/ im not paying up for something that wasnt a blumin contest

Personally I hate time wasters, and birdcamp should shut the fudge up next time. Things like this is annoying but I doubt you'd be able to make him pay up from this fake contest holder (and lets face it he did break the rules and looks like he's going to escape punishment again).

Either way, if/when I hold a contest, he'll won't be able to partake

This seems worth of #abuse or abuse forum..

6. Any issues that involve breaking of the official game rules need to be posted either in the Abuse forum section or sent via a #abuse report ingame.

 

 

Also when Peeves did kill him he didn't PM him with "I wasn't really holding a contest" or "I changed the rules of the contest so you don't win" but he did say...

The logs show that he did kill you within the 30 seconds (which was bogus anyway as you kept changing the rules of the "contest".

peeves now has the prize and ive appoligised numorus times for the hastle.

After speaking with Birdcamp again he's given me the scythe and apologised.

 

I've forgiven him, so I hope his reputation is cleared.
