Nerdz Report post Posted January 28, 2009 (edited) So Ive been running around since the stuff came out, two days straight. It uses an Insane amount of Food to run (Toads + Antis ftw). People have been asking me question about the stuff, So Im creating a FAQ about it: How do I run? Drink a potion of speed hax What does a potion of speed hax allow you to do? It allows you to run. Do you Use Food when Sitting? No, Regular Food usage. How long does the running last? Forever, Unless you get below -29 Food. Other than that it will last forever if you keep eating. Can you mix? Yeap. Pretty much "normal" EL life with running and Huge food usage when going from place to place. This means harvesting,mixing,magic,fighting..etc. Can you become a mule No. How much are these potions? Depending on the price of Lenny furs-1.5k to 3k (3k being bot price) what are the ings to the potion? Lenny Furs, MoP, AE. The full recipe can be found here How fast do you run? 2x speed, and times are halved, however there are some path finding losses and isnt much of a big deal really. Still quicker than walking. Is there any icon on your HUD that says if you are in running mode? Nope. You'll just move faster and food will go down quickly. How fast is food consumed? The food usage is now variable and depends on how much your carrying, if your full you will use more food than when empty (Based on %EMU full). I have found it uses up to 1 Food PER STEP when full (600 EMU as Of now) Can you run with armor on? Yes If I log out, can I still run? Yes. Do you harvest faster when using a speed hax pot? Powersaving only saves the 1 (or 3 for powerhungry) point of food you'd normally eat per minute. It doesn't affect the food used by running. Looter Report post Posted July 17, 2009 Why was speed hax removed ? i did a search and the only thing i could find was a post saying entropy says not enough people use them, is this correct? i really liked speed hax and have used it from day one, infact im still running (is that allowed untill i lose it?) i know a few others who ran too and im sure in time a few others would, speed hax was also starting to make imbroglio more popular for PKing too because they where there for runners like me they would also drop on the walkers and cost them rostogols and more. Does it really hurt the game if only a few people run ? aint that the whiners problem for not using speed hax themselves? Maybe there is more to the reason why they where removed but if it really was because not many used them i think it should have been given more time, Speed Hax was one of the best updates ever, ever since i started playing EL i always wanted to run im sure more would have in time.
