Money Borowing NPC

Ok, i know banks have been suggest before but i have a really cool borrowing system.

 

Lets say you need 10kgc for that col you've been saving for...the problem is its no drop day and you want one now.

One thing you could do is harvest for 8hrs straight to try and get gold coins, -_-

OR

Walk into a bank talk to an NPC called Banker.

This happens:

"Good day Gildrig, What can i do for you?"

The options could be:

Borrow - Donate - Payback - Mortgage

 

Borrow- Allows your character to borrow XXX amount of gc which he will have to pay a small percent back every week. You will have to gain trust by borrowing small and paying it back. So the largest ammount you can withdraw may be only 1kgc. after paying it off it would be 2kgc then 10k 15k 20k and so on. IF YOU FAIL TO MAKE A PAYMENT XX TIMES IN A ROW YOU WILL BE PUNISHED BY GETTING A PERMANENT PERK CALLED "Bankrupt"

 

Donate- Donates a small amount of GC to the bank

 

Payback- Used for paying back dept to the bank

 

Mortgage- Mortgage an item for higher amount of GC such as a col, the NPC should have a way to find out the price of it.

 

Bankrupt- Bankrupt is like Skeptic, a permanent perk which is ANTISOCIAL but reset will not remove it so kinda like real life The only way to remove it is by paying ENT real money or paying the bank back later in the game with a 20% increase of the amount you couldn't pay back so like 100kgc would then be 120kgc

 

Another way for punishment is clearing storage...but i don't know how that would work.

So as soon as you can get the maximum amount, you withdraw it and don't pay it back. You get perk that does not let you get more but what does that matter when you already got the maximum amount?

Ummm, the max is 100kgc and the perk is permanent Antisocial...so you cant buy/sell from npcs....

What if u already taken anti? i know many people who hadnt ever traded with a NPC in their whole EL life... (like me eh? )

What if you create an account and using this feature with the help of a friend. When you have reach the 100kgc and give them to your friend, just delete the account...

Not a good idea IMO because there will always be ways to abuse it.

I see....Yes.

New idea, to pay off debt there is a 10% increase every week and from the time you get the money out

So you start with 1000gc then to pay it back it would be 1100gc then 1200gc so on, so it will be harder to get larger sums of GC

Oh, Opps, i did read all posts that had money borrowing...but none had a big permanent Anti perk

With or without the permanent antisocial perk - I don't like it. This is a MMORGP game. You can always try borrowing some cash from your friends.

TBH, i have anti now, and i do not see getting rid of it anytime in the future....so 100k free GC sounds nice to me

the only this could work is if you take the loan out against an item, eg a COL or NMT, you can borrow up to 80% of the market value of the item you use, you cannot trade an item you have a loan out against, you get a RL month to fully repay the debt and if you dont the item disappears. there is no way to abuse this that i can see, maybe add that you have to repay 105% of the initial loan or something.

The only way I could see that working is if the NPC had the item, and probably less then 50% of market value. Otherwise people will use it to get free money, then they use the goods and if it gets destroyed in combat, free money. If it's 80%, then when the market drops (since the NPC can't track market price) it's a place to sell goods that aren't selling.

 

There are way to many ways to abuse an automated loan system using alts, etc!
