Which client are you using?

One of entropy's latest RC clients or the official one?

Which operating system are you using?

Are you using a CVS client?

Edit: And do you have problems with disconnecting or not?

yeah a few times.

I changed el.ini to 62.93.225.47 instead of game.etenal-lands.com, seems to have fixed it for me, I see others lag round me.

I'm using the official client.

Windows Vista

Yes, 4 or 5 disconnects in last hour. Usually never happens.

Official client

WindowsXP

And problems with the grue?

Piper

Yes, posted on the other thread :

Denmark, computer froze 2 times.

Could not even close the game but needed a restart the computer.

Can it have something to do with the date, it started just around midnight here ?

(the 29th)

I heard there could be some computer problems because of the date.

Good point, but i doubt it a little bit.

The internet is up and running since decades and there have been a few leap years since then whithout any problems.

That would really be a big joke, if above-net or any other companies have a problem with leap years right now.

And to say it quite clear: The problem are not the servers (main or PK one), just type #stats to see how long they are online.

I was not gruing when the others were earlier but I grued a few minutes ago - both my RC7 client on Vista and my bot code running on a linux box grued so I don't think the client is a factor. The traceroute showed a problem in above.net.

trace routes from MN to the game server showed above.net is currently having issues. When I went through my experimental proxy server I ended up avoiding above.net and it used alter.net instead, and my connection is more stable and lower ping time (drop from 160-250ms to 140ms).
