ignore global messages

Recommended Posts

There should be a way to ignore global messages.

 

People don't need to be hammered all the time with same stuff.

 

An option on the client side would be cool to turn global messages off and on.

Such as "There is an invasion right where you are in 1 minute"?

 

Newbs complaining they got killed because they disabled global messages != conducive to the game

And cuz of that the rest of us (speaking in behalf of many many players) have to handle it?

 

 

Besides if there is an option is optional not mandatory :D

You're not speaking on my behalf. I usually do it myself.

Moreover, you should search a bit. Similar posts have been appearing every now and then in past 2 years.

Similar posts have been appearing every now and then in past 2 years.

Anyway I've found a solution to my problem so topic can be lock or deleted or whatever :>

The problem is we've already had to handle too many bug reports from people that have ignored too much and can't figure out why. There is a reason those are global messages!

Didn't "#ignore #message" use to do something like that? :D

And it still should, but adding any additional ignore capability will make it hard for players to figure out why they didn't hear about the invasion that just appeared on top of them.

Which was why the previous suggestions included different variations on "#Message", so people could ignore the ones that are spammy and still get the important ones... Don't care about RP? PK? Other events? You can ignore that and still hear important stuff, etc.
