Minion07 Report post Posted September 15, 2007 hope this hasnt been covered before, but couldnt see it in forum. I tried to add more spells to the quickbar than there was space for (the statbar window was in the way) and EL immediately crashed. subsequent game startups crashed before fully loading. Deleting/moving spells_minion07.dat did not fix the problem and neither did turning off 'display statbar in HUD' in el.ini. EL was not running fullscreen at the time if this helps. platform is linux (Mepis) and terminal outputs error about dma buffer before exiting. Any short term fixes? as am locked out of game atm!. ttlanhil Report post Posted September 15, 2007 What is the exact error? Do you have disk space spare (you can check with the terminal command 'df')? Is there anything interesting at the end of ~/.elc/error_log.txt?

Grum Report post Posted September 17, 2007 (edited) Do you use the official client, or did you compile from CVS. If the former: I fixed a bug in the code a while ago that might've caused this (buffer overflow when adding a spell to a full spell bar). EDIT: OTOH, I don't understand how that bug would prevent EL from starting up again. If a reboot solved it, something weird's going on.
